BIG TREE AND THE L E D

SMALL STORY ON PAGE A17 OF TODAY'S LA TIMES
small story with large ramifications

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is going "greener" with energy-saving lights replacing old fashioned bulbs.
The 84-foot spruce will be covered with 30,000 multicolored light-emiting diodes, or LEDs, strung on five miles of wire.

THE DAILY SAVING IS EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY CONSUMED BY A TYPICAL 2000 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE IN A MONTH.

END OF STORY

BUT

THIS STORY IS THE TRUE BEGINNING OF A LIGHTING REVOLUTION

All the talk and all the efforts by those of us involved in trying to teach others about the world of LEDs will now seem pale compared to information that is generated from one Christmas Tree. I admit it's a rather large tree....but it's a Christmas Tree and on the night when they light the tree (Nov 28) there will be more public interest generated in LEDs than all the previous efforts put forth.

It will be televised on NBC and the next day from Iowa to Oregon to Florida to Texas....there will be people sitting around their breakfast tables talking and the husband will say...

"So, those light eating diates things.....what exactly are they and why don't we have some for our Christmas Tree? And the wife will answer with....."Christmas Tree? Why don't we have them everywhere"......and the revolution will begin.

Within a week or two reporters will be asking the questions that needed to be asked.....60 Minutes will fall in line and the Oprah will do a show on LEDs and

WHAMO....THE LIGHTING REVOLUTION IS IN FULL SWING.

AND ALL IT TOOK WAS ONE LARGE BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREE

and once again Christmas kicks ass!

I am sure that Color Kinetics got the job to light the tree but if they didn't then shame on their sales department.

Of course there will be the slight backlash on the fact that all those lights were made in China but I doubt that any reporter will dig that deep during the ceremony. It will take a few weeks for Bill Reilly or Sean Hannity to expose the China connection to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. But by then the cat will be out of the bag and information will be screaming across this country regarding...

LEDs

or

Solid State Lighting, if you prefer.

Personally I don't give a rat's ass what you want to call it....just realize that the amount of Energy saved by switching to LED bulbs is....

IMMEDIATE......AND HUGE

and they are available to purchase right now for 75 % of all your exterior and interior lighting......EXCEPT AT YOUR LOCAL RETAILERS WHO FOR SOME REASON HAVE BEEN PREVENTED FROM SELLING LEDs BY TWO LARGE COMPANIES WHO IMPLY THAT THE TECHNOLOGY IS NOT AVAILABLE.

while buying LED companies......lock, stock and barrel.

......BUT..... GE and Philips will not be able to stop the flood and they will be forced to move early on their planned retail unveiling of LEDs. And the entire process started with one Christmas Tree....one very large Christmas Tree.

Happy Holidays

Wrong about Alex, Right about Hillary and BIG FOOT BARRY

I was totally wrong about A Rod signing with the Angels and it took an act of God to make him stay in New York. The act of God consisted of Alex dealing directly with the Yankees without his super agent Scott Boras. Boras still gets his 10% so don't lose any sleep over his being neglected.
Alex is getting $275 million for the next 10 years with bonus money being available if he approaches Barry Bonds home run record.

I doubt whether he will be able to approach the most amazing statistic I've seen regarding the Bonds indictment.

The LA TIMES ran a comparison of Barry's stats before 1999 and from 1999 to 2007. The stats include one very strange number.

Barry Bonds in 1999 was 34 years old.....his shoe size was 10 1/2

TODAY BARRY BONDS SHOE SIZE IS 13

A seldom mentioned result of Human Growth Hormone use.

HIS FEET GREW BY 2 1/2 SIZES

THIS BLOWS MY MIND SO MUCH MORE THAN HIS LYING TO THE GRAND JURY OR BULLS..TING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC.

SOMEONE CAN WORK OUT AND CREATE MUSCLE MASS BUT I'VE NEVER HEARD ABOUT WORKOUTS TO INCREASE FOOT SIZE.

Keep in mind that he was 34 years old in 1999.....when he started getting physically bigger.

Imagine how happy and satisfied his wife must be if everything grew the same way as his feet.

No wonder he's so freakin arrogant.

Remember the old adage.....big feet......big.......

AND ON TO HILLARY

Friday night I read my fantasy Hillary speech (previous blog) to eight informed adults at a dinner party. The response was highly favorable and I received repeated suggestions to make sure that Hillary got a copy of the speech. One of the women at the table said she would vote for her just because of the speech...( I suspect she would vote for Hillary anyway)

But the most interesting thing that happened was my question regarding Hillary's sexuality. I asked this question before I read my speech.

"Yes or no...do you think Hillary is a lesbian?"

ALL EIGHT PEOPLE SAID........ NO.

No matter what anybody says about anything regarding this election....it's the innuendo's that will sink a candidate faster than anything.

THE RUMORS have more power than the facts......always have and always will.

Keep in mind that the factual information one knows about any candidate is limited based on voting records and public behavior.

Howard Dean had a incredibly successful campaign derailed by one public SHOUTING EPISODE and no innuendo's.

JOHN KERRY WAS DEFEATED BY INNUENDO'S ONLY....and some questions about his wife's accent.

THE RUMORS ABOUT HILLARY'S SEXUALITY WILL BECOME URBAN LEGEND BY THE TIME THIS ELECTION REACHES IT'S APEX.

I think she and Bill should make a video......the kind of video that made Paris Hilton a celebrity. Obviously making a sexual video doesn't destroy one's career.....

Of course it hasn't been done by a politician....but it's a new day and a new dawn and we are talking about electing a WOMAN as President of the United States so all previous bets are off the table.

It could be fuzzy and out of focus so that we wouldn't have to be visually disturbed.

It could be a preemptive strike to the RIGHT WING RUMOR MONGERS NEO-CON ATTACK on Hillary.....

AN ATTACK THAT WILL HAPPEN ...AS SURE AS SOME ONE'S FOOT INCREASES IN SIZE IF THEY TAKE HUMAN GROWTH HORMONES.

10 1/2 TO 13 at the age of 34!!!!!!!

I PERSONALLY AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HILLARY ATTACKS BUT I'M TRYING MY BEST TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO SOFTEN THEM BEFORE THEY ARRIVE......(a love making tape of her and Bill is just my first idea. )

AND THEY WILL ARRIVE AND THEY WILL BE UGLY.....like Barry's toes....

Alex or Hillary

I can't decide what's more important....The Dodgers getting A Rod or the country getting Hillary.
There are some problems with both scenarios.

Hillary's main problem is.....she is not Bill
Alex's main problem is Scott Boras

Scott Boras should be Hillary's agent and then everything would work fine.

Obviously if you are a Major League baseball STAR...then you want Scott Boras representing you. The problem is that it seems to be ONLY about money. And while that might sound naive I think that there has to be other considerations......

LIKE IN THIS FANTASY PRESS RELEASE

Alex Rodriquez announced today that he has decided to sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers for 10 million dollars a year. He said the chance to show Los Angeles what he was capable of went far beyond the monetary reward. He said that he has always wanted to be a Dodger.

BACK TO REALITY

Hillary is starting to create some strange ripples in her trip through Iowa. One of the strange ripples is the planted question from a member in the audience. I hate this part of politics and I would advise Hillary to cut the bulls--t before it gets out of control. It might already be out of control and the difference between her and Bill being able to deflect negativity is a vast difference.

John Edwards on the other hand is appearing Presidential. He regards himself as outside of the political main stream and whereas this might be true.....he can't be considered too far outside or he'd be in the Mike Gravel camp.

It's interesting to see some of the Democratic candidates running for the Vice-Presidency. John Edwards can't be a Vice-Presidential nominee because of.....done that/ been there.....and it didn't work. So it's either the captain of the ship or back to jury trials.

That explains why he sort of moved into an attack mode on Hillary in the last debate. It's all or nothing for him.

Bill Richardson, Christopher Dodd and believe it or not, Barack Obama might all be looking to the number two spot on the ballot.....

Barack only because it makes sense to ease America into the racial complexity of his campaign, and being Vice-President would make that adjustment...acceptable.

American doesn't like anything shoved down it's throat and strong women and smooth talking African Americans are still viewed with caution.

Having a feel for the pulse of American voters is not a fortune telling ability....it's just instinct combined with common sense and a slight knowledge of the last 50 years of Presidential races.

1960 was the first election that I remember actually having an interest in the outcome. I was 14.

In 2008 I still have an interest in the outcome and right now the outcome is IN THE AIR.

So many things can happen between now and the conventions.

Hillary has to stop acting like a robot and start acting like a chick in charge. She needs to wear a skirt once in a while....and it can be well below the knees....but she needs to remind everybody that she is a woman. She needs to get a little bit angry once in awhile......and it doesn't have to be screaming Howard Deanesque....just pissed off like women get from time to time. And then she can always apologise and be sweet.....just like women do.

LIKE IN THIS FANTASY RADIO BROADCAST

HI....this is Hillary Clinton. I know the first thing people want to know is....why did I stay with Bill when he was getting buffed out by that Monica babe? The answer is actually none of your business.....but I'm going to explain anyway.

Loyalty is a very underrated quality until it is demonstrated. I believe in my heart that Bill Clinton is my best friend....I have loved him since we were in college. He has always had numerous women around him that would like to kiss and touch him.....that's who he is....he's a cuddly teddy bear and if I were to stop loving him for that reason....I would be ignoring one of the great parts of being married to him. Last night we cuddled like there was no tomorrow. The man is incredible and I will love him until the day I die.

I would never leave him because of his weakness for other women. I do ask that he somehow try to control it and he promises me that he has gotten a lot better in the last 30 years. I believe him and I love him.

But here's the deal. I have much more important matters to solve than trying to control my stud husband. I have health care issues that concern the entire country. I have war issues that just seem to be part of the program. I have terrorist issues that are becoming almost impossible to deal with. I have civil and individual rights issues that are totally being ignored....I have immigration issues that need to be addressed. I have trade imbalances that must be brought up. I have environmental issues that might be more important than all the other issues put together.

I have a job that I want to do and I think I can do the best job of anyone currently running for President of the United States.

I am Hillary and I am not Bill....but he is my life partner and I will need him to help me through this experience. I would think that the American public would feel comfortable knowing that Bill Clinton was the last person I saw every night before I fell alseep.

Thank you and I hope you now understand a little bit of what I was feeling during that strange time in the White House. It was a very short period of time in the eight years and it should never be regarded as his legacy. His Presidency should stand on it's own.

And so should mine.

Peace

Hillary

BACK TO REALITY

A ROD WILL PROBABLY SIGN WITH THE ANGELS
and Hillary will never show her ankles.

And that's a fact.

56 Days to Cornville

I've actually never been to Iowa ......unless of course you count having seen Field of Dreams 20 times.
If that counts then I'm a freakin expert on Iowa.
I remember walking out of that movie when it first opened and there was a long line of traffic going into the theater parking lot and for a very quick instant....very quick....I thought it was a continuation of the movie.

That last statement would indicate one of two things.

I'm either very easily fooled by showbiz people or
I'm nuts

It's your call

I still have a hard time turning that movie off if I stumble upon it. I honestly believe the speech by James Earl Jones about Baseball is one of the great moments in film. Of course I realize that it helps to love baseball but even a little bit of love for history should make that scene memorable for most people.

Of course to put everything in perspective I have the same problem turning off Tombstone.
Which puts us closer to
Iowa
where this article actually started...

I've actually never been to Iowa but I would think the 2.9 million people feel like the political future of America is in their hands...or cornfields....or hay bins....or wheat fields.
The truth is I know very little about that state....and for all I know they could be paid not to grow anything...which is also the American way.

I have a dear friend who is currently in Story City, Iowa.... trying to say goodbye to her mom who is getting ready to walk out behind center field of the the biggest ballpark.....LIFE.

It would be so cool if James Earl Jones could be the greeter.

In that James Earl Jones voice....

"WELCOME TO THE NEXT GAME.....THIS ONE LAST A BIT LONGER THAN THE LAST ONE BUT THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO SEE."

My friend's mom was a model in France in the early 50's and then my friend became a model in New York in the late 60's and now her daughter is a model.

That's a pretty wacky gene to have.

But let's stay on some kind of point with Iowa.

There has to be a point to Iowa.......doesn't there?

Our future is riding on the shoulders of Iowaians....or Iowans....or Iowaonees...or whatever they call themselves.

And to say that our future is riding on their shoulders might not be the crazy exaggeration that it sounds like.

I don't want to sound any alarms at this point but all the Republicans are pushing for Hillary to win the nomination and that scares the crap out of me.
It's a Karl Rove plot
It's a Dick Cheney plot

They know that the boat people who sunk John Kerry have incredible resources and Hillary has given them massive amounts of information because...simply put...

SHE'S HILLARY

and being Hillary for the last 40 years has simply been one huge story after another. ....because after all....

SHE'S HILLARY

THE RUMORS ARE LARGER THAN THE STORIES AND WHEN RUMORS ARE LARGER THAN THE STORIES IT TURNS INTO....

FANTASY LAND POLITICS

FANTASY LAND POLITICS means that it doesn't matter anymore
what the truth is.....
all information becomes urban legend....
AND I' m simply afraid that Hillary has created a bigger than life persona and that bigger than life persona will result in so much negativity by election time that people will simply vote the other way just to have it over....and if people respond like that then we will have a similar situation that we currently are experiencing in the White House.

AND THAT'S WHY IOWA IS SO IMPORTANT.

ELECTABILITY IS THE KEY WORD IN POLITICS....and even though I personally would support Hillary for President....I have very little confidence in the America public being able to make that leap.

I'm sorry to say it, and God knows I wish I was wrong, but Hillary might be easier to defeat than Barack.... but both of them can be defeated in a general election.

JOHN EDWARDS WOULD NOT BE DEFEATED BY ANY REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE

AND IOWA COULD KNOCK HIM OUT OF THE PICTURE.

AND THAT'S WHY IOWA IS IMPORTANT TO THE FUTURE OF AMERICA.

And hopefully my friend's mom from Story City, Iowa is feeling some of the love and making herself comfortable with the her next Field of Dreams.....

It's going to be ok....

unless of course John Edwards finishes 3rd in Iowa......

NICE SURPRISE

I went to see the Sean Penn's new movie, "Into the Wild" but I missed the starting time so the only movie playing was "DAN IN REAL LIFE."
I personally don't watch OFFICE so therefore I'm not a Stevel Carell fan but I was there and a movie is a movie is a movie.

I was extremely pleased that I accidentally stumbled on this small gem of a film.

When a movie has a love theme combined with a father and daughter theme....I'm easily sucked into the program. Add some hearts broken by life lost, and throw in some very well written exchanges that are poignant and funny....and the result is a wonderful experience.

When I cry and laugh in the same movie then I have truly gotten my monies worth....and this film enticed both emotions on a few different occasions.

If you like to feel good when you walk out of a film.....run to this movie.

The first response I had when the film was over was...."the writing was precise and fresh."

I had to suspend my reality check on the family structure because it was just too darn perfect.....but I suppose that jealousy could be another emotion. It really pointed out how unsuccessful I've been in my role as a father.....even though I've made a valiant effort. Those of us who are parents, but seem to have overlooked certain responsibilities, view a film where everything works in spaces...and it makes us a bit queasy.

I pretty sure it's too late to correct my lack of responsibility and my ineptitude at securing a financial and fiscal future for my daughter...but of course I'll keep trying. Being an artist creates certain problems in the responsibility genre...but it does make me want to write something that might seem important in the long run.

My scripts I have written do not contain enough humor.

I need to sit down and work on a project that reflects more of my social interaction behavior.

Being funny in real life is much easier than being funny on paper....and I have no idea why that's true.

This appears to be my serious side.

And I know that some of you who read my "articles" would say..."that's not necessarily true."

I realize I can be sarcastic when writing but being funny is another target and I shall work on that in the very near future.

I have a friend named Jack Neworth who writes for the Santa Monica Daily Press with a weekly column on Friday (Laughing Matters) and who has written numerous scripts. I have grown accustomed to his humorous style and I think he does it quite well....even though his sarcasm is evident....it doesn't dominate and therefore his style seems easy and comfortable. It would seem that he could write a script along the same lines as DAN IN REAL LIFE and that's a great compliment.

Check it out on Fridays.

And then go check out the movie.

BEE JERRY

I'm hoping that the BEE MOVIE makes people start talking about CCD. I'd BEE rather surprised if it comes up in Jerry's animated film....but I'll have to go check it out to BEE sure.

The backlash to this type of movie might BEE that people will just giggle at anything having to do with BEEs....and that would BEE a very bad idea in regards to ignoring CCD.

I'm pretty sure that AMERICAN GANGSTER will beat the BEE MOVIE at the box office...
at least over the first weekend....and most likely in total revenue....because we know that bad guys are much more interesting than funny BEEs.

How cool would it BEE if Denzel and Russell started talking about CCD?

I'll go check out the two films and report back later on which one is more important to the health and welfare of the human species.

A funny BEE movie is better for CCD awareness than no movie at all......I think.

By the way....how weird is it that when the Dodgers sign Joe Torre the Lakers play their best game in about three years. I knew he was good but this is ridiculous.

BILL is first LED man

I have been verbally pushing the Light Emitting Diode technology for six months and physically promoting and trying to sell LED's for the last two months. I keep wondering when someone of the celebrity genre would step forth and speak the speak. I have personally spoken to Ed Beagly Jr. about Solid State lighting and he truly seemed underwhelmed with the technology. I realized that he was promoting Fluorescent Spiral bulbs and while he admitted that yes they do contain Mercury...they were a better alternative than incandescents. I walked away from our short meeting with reinforced conspiracy theories regarding the big boys in lighting and the world of LEDs.

My conspiracy theory is based on the principle that GE and Philips have inventories in incandescent and fluorescent bulbs that probably extend into the next three years.
WHILE AT THE SAME TIME THEY ARE BUYING LED COMPANIES AND TECHNOLOGIES BUT CONVINCING POLITICIANS THAT THE TECHNOLOGY IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE....because they aren't ready. Somehow they have muzzled all voices regarding this technology...and that somehow might be related to Lobbyists and MOOLA....but of course it's just a theory....and Lobbyists can't really control politicans opinions or actions....can they?

I ADMIT THAT LED LIGHTING IS NOT PRESENTLY ABLE TO REPLACE THE BULB IN YOUR TABLE LAMP....but it's coming quite soon....maybe even by Christmas time. I saw some 360 Degree bulbs yesterday that if combined with the right optics (cover) could officially end the life of energy wasting Incandescent Edison light bulbs.

BUT.....WHAT IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN SOLID STATE LIGHTING....
....AND NOT BEING PROMOTED BY GE OR PHILIPS....OR TALKED ABOUT BY ANY REPORTEDLY GREEN SPOKESPERSON....OR EVEN MENTIONED BY ALL THE WONDERFUL CELEBRITIES THAT SEEM TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING....OR DISCUSSED BY ANY POLITICIAN.......until yesterday....
......ARE THE TYPES OF LIGHTS LISTED BELOW.

1) DOWN LIGHTING.....TRACK LIGHTS AND SPOT LIGHTS AND FLOOD LIGHTS.

2) MOST LANDSCAPING AND ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING

3) ALL DECORATIVE LIGHTING OF ANY SHAPE, SIZE AND FORM....INCLUDING CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS AND MAIL BOX LIGHTS.

4) ALL STREET LIGHTS......OF ANY COLOR

I say until yesterday....because once again....a hero steps forward and for the first time someone of IMMENSE IMPORTANCE .....MENTIONS LED LIGHTS.

WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON announced yesterday that THE CLINTON CLIMATE INITIATIVE would work with WAL-MART to " examine technologies such as energy-saving LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES for street lamps and parking lots, as well as more energy-efficient building materials and heating and air-conditioning systems."

The man of the hour since 1992 is once again the man of the hour in 2007....and besides that, he got something going on in his married life that could once again change the political face of America. I'm not sure... but I've heard rumors that he's married to the next President of the United States....if' that's true then that means a woman would lead this nation. Is that possible...or just urban legend material?

I LOVE THE GUY....and because of his friendship with the former Prez I've even grown fond of George Senior.

There's no end to what Bill Clinton can achieve....and the fact that he's focused on energy saving technologies simply means that the celebrities will start falling in line on SOLID STATE LIGHTING as the quickest and easiest way to start saving energy.

FORGET THE MERCURY FILLED FLUORESCENT SPIRAL BULB...IT IS TOAST.

LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES (LEDs)
or
SOLID-STATE LIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES

are available
TODAY

NOW

AND THANKS TO BILL....the light will finally start to shine on this technology.

Come on down
AL
LEO
BOB
ED
MARTIN
and any other green celeb that moans and groans about saving energy and doesn't mention
LEDs.

Bill has paved the way.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT AND THE TIME IS

WEST COST GEORGE

The other day I mentioned that Frank McCourt should become the WEST COAST GEORGE.

The more I think about it the more sense it makes.

The historical traditional rivalry between the Yankees and the Dodgers is a classic rivalry that should be rekindled and nurtured.

The Yankees and the Dodgers need to be in another World Series and the fastest way to make that happen resides in the bank account of Frank McCourt.

WEST COAST GEORGE can bring Los Angeles into the next level of the financial sports fiasco by simply accepting the reality that not only can he be the WEST COAST GEORGE...but he owes it to the city and to the fans that support the team....and the fans support the team no matter what they do....so imagine what could happen if he decided to become WEST COAST GEORGE.

If the Dodgers payroll doubled to 200 million, which is Yankee territory, the following things would happen.

A ROD would be a Dodger
Curt Shilling would be a Dodger
Milton Bradley.....just kidding
Aaron Rowland would be a Dodger
Andrew Jones would be a Dodger
Parking at Dodger Stadium would be $50
All you can eat Right Field Pavilion seats would be $100
Those seats right behind home plate would be $1200 a game
Nolan Ryan would come out of retirement
Alyssa Milano would become the new Mrs. McCourt after a bitter divorce
Programs at the games would be $25
Dodger Dogs would be $25
Cokes would be $15
Beer would be $20
Using the restrooms would require tokens that are sold on line for $3
Vin Scully would start charging for each word he spoke

BECOMING THE WEST COAST GEORGE IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO BECAUSE IT'S TIME THAT LOS ANGELES SHOWED NEW YORK WHAT IT MEANS TO SPEND MONEY AND THE BEST WAY TO DO THAT IS BY BUYING STUFF.

A BEACH HOUSE FOR $33 MILLION TO GO ALONG WITH A $25 MILLION DOLLAR HOME IN HOLMBY HILLS.
(ALREADY DONE)
A MANAGER FOR $4 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR
(ALMOST DONE)

Why not just take it to the next level and elevate LOS ANGELES to a place that makes NEW YORK look like the wannabe when it comes to living lavishly.

I honestly think Frank McCourt would like to be the WEST COAST GEORGE but he's afraid the fans won't buy into it.

I'M HERE TO TELL YOU FRANK.......WE ARE ALREADY BUYING INTO IT.....AND THE ONLY WAY WE CAN PROVE IT TO YOU IS BY GIVING YOU MORE MONEY.....BUT FIRST YOU'VE GOT TO SPEND MORE MONEY.

SPEND MORE TO MAKE MORE....now isn't that the American way?

FRANK.....YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN AND THE FIRST STEP IS IN DECIDING TO BECOME THE...

WEST COAST GEORGE
once you make the decision we can change your name from
WEST COAST GEORGE
to
McCOURTLAND
or
MALIBUMcCOURT
or
FRANK'SVILLE
or
any clever name that your publicity department comes up with...

I THINK YOU CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN SIMPLY BY ACCEPTING THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION.

YOU CAME FROM THE EAST COAST AND NOW YOU ARE A WEST COAST GUY AND YOU NEED TO CARVE YOUR OWN NICHE AND THE WAY TO DO THAT IS BY PUTTING THE YANKEES IN THEIR PLACE REGARDING SALARIES AND PAYROLL.

SHOW THOSE CONCRETE MONKEYS WHAT IT MEANS TO GO HOLLYWOOD!

AND FOLLOW UP THE JOE TORRE DEALIO WITH

A ROD....

AND DON'T SPEND A LOT OF TIME THINKING ABOUT IT...THE PITCHES AND CATCHERS REPORT TO SPRING TRAINING IN FOUR MONTHS......

TIME'S A WASTING

BEE ALL YOU CAN BEE

and that's my lead in to Jerry Seinfeld's animated new film which attempts to address Colony Collapse Disorder...which I will discuss tomorrow.

Hello Joe!

The Dodgers just anounced that Grady Little has resigned and all indications point to Joe Torre as the new Dodger manager.

Will he bring Alex with him? How cool would it be if Frank McCourt decided to become the West Coast George.

Money is no object when you buy a beach house for $33 million.....so if you've got it....flaunt it!

I think maybe the Dodgers should hire Ms. Milano as their mascot. Maybe as a back-up announcer.....maybe as Michael Timothy McAlevey Christmas present.

Things are heating up in LA......next comes the Kobe saga....and his era appears to be over....and I'll always remember when he played basketball with a guy named Shaq.

Joe Torre and Phil Jackson.....wow.

IOWA is the Field of Dreams

Tonight is another Democratic debate and IOWA is their main goal.

Each candidate appears to be spending enormous amounts of time and energy in the state of Iowa. The Iowa Caucus is on January 3rd 2008 and it will determine who can go forward.

I think the candidate with the most to lose is John Edwards. If he doesn't finish first or second he's in big trouble. It looks like Hillary is putting some space between herself and the other candidates.

If you live in Iowa the next two months is your Field of Dreams. I wonder how many candidates have bothered to visit the Field of Dreams.

I sure wish someone would ask them about CCD. In case you've forgotten CCD is Colony Collaspe Disorder.

I'll tune in but I know there's two things they won't mention....CCD and Solid-State lighting.

Seven Democratic presidential candidates are scheduled to participate in a two-hour debate starting at 9 p.m. EDT Tuesday and telecast on MSNBC. It's their first debate in a month, and during that time Clinton has solidified her position as the front-runner, gaining in polls, taking the lead in fundraising and dominating the agenda.

JUST IN CASE YOU ARE NOT BEEING AWARE

Colony Collapse Disorder (or CCD) is a little-understood phenomenon in which worker bees from a beehive or Western honey bee colony abruptly disappear. CCD was originally found in Western honey bee colonies in North America in late 2006.[1]
European beekeepers observed a similar phenomenon in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain[2], and initial reports have also come in from Switzerland and Germany, albeit to a lesser degree.[3] Possible cases of CCD have also been reported in Taiwan since April 2007.[4]
The cause (or causes) of the syndrome is not yet well understood. Theories include environmental change-related stresses,[5] malnutrition, pathogens (i.e., disease[6] including Israeli acute paralysis virus[7][8]), mites, pesticides such as neonicotinoids or imidacloprid, radiation from cellular phones or other man-made devices,[9] and genetically modified (GM) crops with pest control characteristics such as transgenic maize.[10] That the disappearances have almost exclusively been reported from a subset of the commercial beekeepers in affected areas (i.e., not feral colonies or organic beekeepers), suggests to some that beekeeping practices can be a primary factor.[11][12]
From 1971 through 2006, there was a dramatic reduction in the number of feral (wild) honeybees in the US (now almost absent;[13]) and a significant, though somewhat gradual decline in the number of colonies maintained by beekeepers. This decline includes the cumulative losses from all factors such as urbanization, pesticide use, tracheal and Varroa mites, and commercial beekeepers retiring and going out of business. However, late in the year 2006 and in early 2007 the rate of attrition was alleged to have reached new proportions, and the term "Colony Collapse Disorder" was proposed to describe this sudden rash of disappearances.[1]
Limited occurrences resembling CCD have been documented as early as 1896,[6][14] and this set of symptoms has in the past several decades been given many different names (disappearing disease, spring dwindle, May disease, autumn collapse, and fall dwindle disease[15]. Most recently, a similar phenomenon in the winter of 2004/2005 occurred, and was attributed to Varroa mites (the "Vampire Mite" scare), though this was never ultimately confirmed. In none of the past appearances of this syndrome has anyone been able to determine its cause(s). Upon recognition that the syndrome does not seem to be seasonally-restricted, and that it may not be a "disease" in the standard sense—that there may not be a specific causative agent—the syndrome was renamed.[16]

It's been awhile since I brought up CCD but since Generlow Wilson is now free I can only hope that CCD gets solved.

There are so many problems in the world and when small things get fixed it makes me think that big things can also be solved.

Illusion and delusion are tied together in my heart and soul, and I love thinking that everything will be ok. I love thinking that human beings can solve any problem and I love believing that human nature is the highest physical/spiritual entity on the planet.

We are a unique resident on the planet Earth and if all things go well we will be a species that lasts until it's time to travel to another planet because our planet is no longer inhabitable....and that uninhabitable moment will arise, not because of anything we've done but because of the natural time frame that must unfold as our Sun reaches its zenith.

OF COURSE IT'S IMPORTANT TO REALIZE THAT OUR SUN IS FAIRLY YOUNG AND ESTIMATES HAVE IT LASTING SOMEWHERE AROUND ANOTHER 2 BILLION YEARS.

So we should figure out quite a few things between now and then.....and one of those things to figure out should bee...

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE BEE POPULATION

it's a serious issue and one that should be discussed by the Presidential Candidates during the upcoming election.

IT'S THAT SERIOUS!

IT'S MORE SERIOUS THAN IRAQ AND IRAN AND IT'S A LOT MORE SERIOUS THAT FIRES, FLOODS, HURRICANES, TORNADO'S AND EARTHQUAKES.

ALL OF THOSE THINGS ABOVE ARE THINGS THAT WE CAN RECOVER FROM....

THE LOSS OF THE BEE POPULATION IS SOMETHING THAT WE MIGHT NOT RECOVER FROM.

Serious is too weak a word for this type of problem.....

C A T A S T R O P H I C
might be more appropriate word.

SO MAY ATTENTION AND
BEE AWARE....and tell your Congressman or woman to get concerned and solve
CCD....

NOW!

FREED with the help of a BJ

FINALLY
GENERLOW WILSON HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM PRISON...AND HIS ATTORNEY
IS
B.J. BERNSTEIN

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO GENERLOW WILSON IS THAN THE B.J. COMMENT ISN'T GOING TO MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL.

THE ATLANTA SUPREME COURT RULED 4-3 THAT HIS SENTENCE WAS EXCESSIVE.

4-3 is a bit scary....
there are still 3 judges that don't seem to think that 10 years in prison for consensual oral sex is excessive.

BUT THANK GOD THERE ARE FOUR REASONABLE JUDGES THAT RESIDE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.

AND TONIGHT.....

GENERLOW WILSON IS HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO AND ONE HALF YEARS

I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT HE'S FEELING.....BUT IT'S GOT TO
BE
A
GREAT
FEELING.....

I HOPE HE'S NOT TOO BITTER....
AND I WOULD SUGGEST BEING VERY CAUTIOUS ABOUT HOW HE CELEBRATES HIS RELEASE.

BUT THANKS TO A LAWYER
NAMED....
.....B.J.......

GENRELOW
IS
FREE

IT'S NICE TO KNOW THAT SOME THINGS CAN BE CORRECTED AND THAT JUSTICE DOES MATTER.

We need daily stories like this one.

MY BAD

Last night I got into a shouting match with my daughter's boyfriend who happens to be 19 and considers all liberals to be completely confused and just generally uniformed idiots.

He rubs me the wrong way when politics start getting discussed.

I MEAN.... HE REALLY RUBS ME THE WRONG WAY

He won't attend a movie directed by Sean Pean because Sean Penn is an idiot.

He won't watch Bill Maher because Bill Maher is an idiot.

He thinks Al Gore should never have won a Nobel Prize and he would never watch Inconvenient Truth because AL Gore is an idiot.

He won't watch a Leonardo DiCaprio movie because who the hell does Leo think he is to talk about Global Warming.

One of his political heroes is G. Gordon Liddy.

I mean every time a discussion starts to take place about politics....my voice starts rising and last night, in my house, he moved towards me in a physical manner that almost made my head explode. As I made him leave my house he had the parting words of...."If my dad was here he would kick your ass."

I THINK IT GOES BEYOND RUBBING ME THE WRONG WAY......

THERE IS A LIST OF THINGS THAT TAKE PLACE WITH MY DAUGHTER THAT I HAVE OVERLOOKED BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO BE OVERLY AUTHORITATIVE....AND IT HAS COME BACK TO BIT ME IN THE ASS.

I AM MAD AT MYSELF FOR NOT HAVING CERTAIN RULES AND NOW I AM MAD AT THEM.

I AM MAD AT MY DAUGHTER BECAUSE SHE SEEMS TO PICK UP STRAY DOG TYPES.....EVEN THOUGH THERE HAS ONLY BEEN THREE STRAY DOGS IN HER 21 YEARS.....A STRAY IS A STRAY IS A STRAY.

I need to become a veterinarian and do some neutering......

Or else I'm going to have a stroke and that would be an extreme way of dealing with my problems.

Parenting is parallel to being organized and I need not say anything more.....except......
......where did I put that file?

World Serious Fires but not in Beantown and Mile High

The World Series starts today and all sportswriters have turned into PHYSIC sportswriters. Of course those that are wrong about the outcome will just move on to another topic and those who are right will gloat until Spring training.

One school says the layoff will hurt the Rockies.....the other school says no team has ever had the kind of streak that the Rockies have had to end their season.

Baseball is a game of statistics and streaks and 22 out of 23 might be enough of a streak...

I just like to see a 7th game of the World Series......which I believe is the most exciting event in sports.

But as I get ready to watch the game I find myself being slightly diverted by the WITCH, by the CANYON, by the SLIDE, by BUCKWEED, by the RANCH, by the ROSA, by the POOMACHA, by the RICE, by the HARRIS, by the MARTIN RANCH, by the GRASS VALLEY, by the MAGIC, by the AMMO and WILCOX, by the SANTIAGO and by THE RANCH.

IF I OVERLOOKED ANY OF THE FIRES BURNING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THEN I APOLOGIZE. I really don't want to piss off any arsonist who might be upset that HIS fire wasn't mentioned in my blog.
I truly believe that 99% of all arsonist are male.....just my personal belief system.
I read about EMERGENCY AND DISASTER names given to tragedies. If the President calls it a state of emergency than only certain types of funds are available.....but if he calls it a disaster then federal funds get released and TONS more help enters the picture.
I would say that 750,000 to 1 million evacuations would be caused by a freakin DISASTER.
Moments like this bring out the best and the worst in people. Which type of story do you to hear about?....THE ASSHOLE who owns a motel in San Bernadino, who normally charges 45 for a room, now charging 90.....OR the people who keep sending supplies and money to all the places where people are stranded....and the friends and families who are opening their homes.
And of course the tremedous job that fireman do in the middle of Hell on Earth. They lose homes but they save 95 percent....( except once in awhile certain smaller communities tucked in the trees...get completely destroyed)
I hope the winds change tonight...and I hope that it rains tomorrow.
But then again I hope Colorado can beat Boston....so I'm obviously wishing from a underdog role.
So many states have had to deal with fires this year that our current situation (in Southern CAl) probably just seems like regular behavior on the part of Mother Nature.
Idaho, Georgia and Florida probably think our fires are small potatoes after what they went through....but the difference is totally in the human displacement. This displacement is larger than Katrina.
And at least we have names for all the sad moments in people's lives.....but the fire named the WITCH really makes me freaked out.....especially this close to Halloween.

There's ALWAYS a certain point

Every story, regarding every issue, concerning anything newsworthy reaches a point where any one person reading the story suddenly goes.....I get it....OR.....this is ridiculous.

The Dalai Lama story has some interesting side bars attached because of the political gamesmanship being played by world powers.

But as I'm reading the current DL story this morning, I come across a tidbit of information regarding the Chinese government that makes me simply wonder if anyone in that government has a freakin clue what it means to be an evolved human being....or what it means to be a human being seeking spiritual truth in a physically chaotic world.

In a four column story about the Chinese being rather upset that the DL is getting a medal from America....there appears in the third column a short paragraph.

THIS PARAGRAPH HAS RAMIFICATIONS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF RATIONAL BEHAVIOR

THIS PARAGRAPH MIGHT BE THE MOST AMAZING FACT REGARDING CHINA AND IT MIGHT BE A PARAGRAPH THAT COMPLETELY ALLOWS YOU TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT IS WANTING TO ACHIEVE IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF THEIR CITIZENS...AND ANY OTHER HUMAN BEINGS THAT THEY MIGHT ENCOUNTER.

THE PARAGRAPH from article by Mark Magnier in LA Times (10/17/07) entitled "CHINA FUMING OVER BUSH'S VISIT WITH THE DALAI LAMA"

"Beijing has detained the Panchen Lama, the second holiest figure in Tibetan Buddhism, since 1995 when he was taken at the age of 6. Apparently not content to tighten its temporal grip, China's State Administration for Religious Affairs has also sought to impose control over the afterlife with a September 1 order banning living Buddhas from reincarnating without its approval."

Please read that paragraph again.....and then again and then again.

Try to wrap your mind around the concept of needing permission to reincarnate.

Is it written permission or verbal permission? Is is a long form or a short form?

And what are the chances of the State Administration for Religious Affairs granting permission to go forward with a reincarnation.

Of course I realize you have to be a living Buddha to apply for reincarnation so that eliminates quite a few of us.

But thinking about the precise moment when the State Administration for Religious Affairs in China came up with this order.

It's that precise moment where I start questioning the belief in human beings by the Chinese government.

They either think everyone has incredible powers or they think everyone is a complete idiot.

I'm so confused by this order from the State Administration for Religious Affairs in China that I personally want to give the Dalai Lama a medal.

THE MIND JAZZ MEDAL OF HONOR
awarded to anyone who opposes the Chinese viewpoints on human potential...both physically and spiritually.

Now what the heck are we going to do about the Panchen Lama, who is now 16 years old and held somewhere in China. I can't imagine that he's being allowed to attend school....probably being home schooled, wouldn't you think?

There's also an interesting quote from the leader of Tibet's Communist Party....ZHANG QINGLI
" If the Dalai Lama can receive such an award, there can be no justice or good people in this world."

Yeah dude....and maybe.....your opinion sucks and maybe the lack of justice and good people might be limited to your immediate environment.

We don't think like that in America.

If someone wants to reincarnate here...we simply make them pay a slight fee....sort of a traveling visa fee, like a passport of the spirit........just $39.50 until Jan 1 2008.

After that it will be $69.50.....the increase is being blamed on the oil prices....which by the way are quickly becoming high enough that pretty soon Texas will be drilling again. Let's see, who lives in Texas? Hummmmm

I personally don't think the Dalai Lama should be sharing his holiness with George but GOD only knows how spiritual matters really work.....so maybe......

....... something is supposed to rub off.......because like I said before....

There's always a certain point in any story......

It's obviously CLEAR in Colorado

I don't want to start any rumors but a friend of mine has a cousin whose sister goes to school with a guy who knows a waiter whose step-brother has an uncle who claims to have seen Marion Jones, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Bill Clinton ( I'll do anything to make you think of Hillary) having dinner with the Colorado Rockies back in early September.

Since that dinner the Colorado Rockies have won 21 of 22 ball games and are now headed to their first World Series.

I'm checking the facts on this story but the waiter is high on crack and I can't seem to find him.
I think there some truth to the rumor because in the picture above, Todd Helton is holding the Colorado Rockies centerfielder and let's face it.......there has to be steriods involved because the centerfielder is wearing pink....and his head has strunk so much that his hat doesn't fit right.
It's obviously CLEAR what's going on in Colorado.
Can you determine that as a Dodger fan.....I can't really feel good about Colorado? I do have a few friends in the MOUNTAINS and I suppose they are enjoying this....but there's still that nagging thing in my mind....that wouldn't allow the 2007 season to fade peacefully.....
WHY WASN'T NOMAR PLAYING ......AFTER HE GOT BACK FROM BEING INJURED?

Arnold in the corner lobby pocket

I did not vote for Arnold but I have developed a certain affection for his political abilities because he seems to have traveled down a centralist path on many issues and it's not easy to find Republicans who exhibit flexibility towards both sides of an issue. I'm not about to admit that he has drifted to the left on important matters but he's sleeping with a Shriver so something has to rub off....from time to time.

The Legislative deadline for passing bills was Sunday and Arnold's job was to sign the bills presented to him....or veto the bills. And this year there were 965 bills presented to him. Last year there were 1,172 bills.

Keep in mind that you can't say that your state politicians aren't doing anything. That's 2137 bills presented over the last two years.

HOW MANY OF THOSE BILLS DID YOU PERSONALLY GET INVOLVED IN?

DOESN'T THE LEGISLATURE PRESENT BILLS THAT ARE ISSUES CREATED BY THE PEOPLE?

HOW MANY OF THOSE BILLS DO YOU EVEN KNOW ABOUT?

THE GOVERNOR VETOED ONE OF THOSE BILLS THAT WOULD HAVE MADE HOSPITALS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR F..KUPS.

THE BILL WOULD HAVE REQUIRED HOSPITALS TO DISCLOSE INFECTION AND DEATH RATES.

THAT DOESN'T SEEM LIKE TO MUCH TO ASK FOR....BUT APPARENTLY.....

THE CALIFORNIA HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION, one of Sacramento's largest lobbyists and donors, HAS A BIGGER SAY IN THE ACTION THAN THE WELFARE OF THE PUBLIC.

WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW THE NUMBERS REGARDING INFECTION AND DEATH RATES IF YOU WERE ADMITTED TO A HOSPITAL?

How about the actual failure and success rate of any one given procedure that might be something you are suppose to have done?

I think they got to Arnold and it probably happened at the same party where the oil companies and the owner of the Staples Center were toasting our esteemed Governor.

Instead of making the HIGHEST PROFITS IN THEIR HISTORY OIL COMPANIES pay for anything...the Gov signed bill AB 118, which raises our car registration by $3.00....SO THAT THE STATE CAN RAISE $210 MILLION DOLLARS TO DEVELOP CLEAN-AIR PROGRAMS AND ADDRESS ENERGY SUBSIDIES.

SINCE THE DEFEAT OF PROP 87 IN THE LAST ELECTION...THE PEOPLE BASICALLY TOLD THE GOVERNOR THAT OIL COMPANIES WERE OFF LIMITS WHEN IT CAME TO MAKING THEM PAY FOR ANYTHING.

THE DEFEAT OF 87 IS STILL ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING DEFEATS IN THE HISTORY OF CALIFORNIA POLITICS....AND THOSE WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEFEAT HAVE TO TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE GENERAL POPULATION IS A BUNCH OF TOTAL IDIOTS....and they might be right.

WE, AS A PEOPLE, HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE THE OIL COMPANIES PAY FOR SOME OF THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE GOUGING THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE IN THE LAST THIRTY YEARS BUT WE BLINKED AND THEY ARE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE CASINOS......
.....FORGET THE BANK....THEY'VE GONE WAY BEYOND LAUGHING TO THE BANK.....THEY ARE NOW MAKING PROFITS SO LARGE THAT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO SAVE, SO NOW THEY JUST SPEND, SPEND, SPEND....AND PARTY, PARTY, PARTY AND OF COURSE THEY GET TO CELEBRATE WITH THE GOV.

Another bill signed allows for........

The owner of the Staples Center to have access to LOW-INCOME HOUSING FUNDS so that he can make the streets around the Staples Center more user friendly....which when discussed had to be at a very private party.

MARIA PROBABLY STAYED HOME WITH THE KIDS WHEN ARNOLD WENT TO ONE OF THOSE PARTIES.

OR NOT....

It could be part of the entire scam......Maria's not really a Shriver but was put in place to create a total package. Politicians are really sneaky motherf..kers and organizing years in advance is not something unusual for them. Arnold never was an athlete....he was a politician from the get-go.

But besides that silliness....SERIOUSLY.....

NOT MAKING HOSPITALS DISCLOSE THEIR WON LOST RECORD IS UNACCEPTABLE.

BOO ON YOU ARNOLD.....

SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!

Reflecting on Intelligence

Last weekend my football team, the USC Trojans, lost a football game to Stanford...by one point.

Yesterday Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good of humanity.

The fact that the Trojans lost to one of the great Universities in the world cannot be viewed as an upset. If the brainiacs in Palo Alto can't figure out how to win every six years in LA, then something is wrong with the system.

I'm surprised that Pete Carroll doesn't address the handicapping issues when reporters ask how they could lose to a team when favored by 40 points. I like to see him say something like....

"Listen...the final score wasn't 64-23...it was 24-23 and all the handicapping that is put into play simply because of wagering is not only detrimental but should not be allowed in the world of collegiate sports."

"Because some bookmaker in Las Vegas says a team should win or lose by 40 points has no reality in the hearts and minds of 18 to 22 years kids."

"The game is played by young men trying to determine their right of passage within the framework of a hard hitting game....and at any one moment....the heart and the mind comes down to one on one....and anything can happen within that framework....and the fact that USC lost to a great institution should not be regarded as an upset but instead as an event that proves anything is possible.....anytime....anywhere......now go home gentleman and hug your kids and kiss your wife and leave my young warriors to contemplate the next game."

So I've accepted last week even though I still wonder why a QB would be allowed to play after breaking a bone on his middle finger of his throwing hand in the second quarter.

That's the weird part of the story that nobody seems to be discussing.

AL GORE WON THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE YESTERDAY!

I wonder which event means more to the future of the human species?

Hummmm....USC loses to Stanford........AL GORE wins the Nobel Peace Prize.....

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Is Bush hanging with Gere?

Next week the Dalia Lama will visit the White House for the third time but this time the Chinese are having their own recall.

It seems that visiting the White House within the residential area doesn't bother the Chinese but next week, after visiting with George and Laura, The Dalia Lama will then go to the Capitol building where he will receive the Congressional Gold Medal.....not to be confused with the Olympic Gold Medals being returned by Marion Jones. Rumors that she will be attending the ceremony are false.

The Chinese obviously do not appreciate irony and therefore have decided to stop shipping goods to Wal-Mart. Furthermore they announced that all dog food would now include lead and toys would be made with dog food.

They also announced that the 2008 Beijing Olympics would be moved to Iran and North Korea....and that Tibetan monks would be working the games as hurdles, shot puts and targets for shooting venues.

Those Chinese! You've got to love em!

In another similar related story, the Turkish government is recalling their Ambassador to the United States in protest over a resolution being adopted by the U.S. Congress that declares the Armenian genocide in the early 20th century, by the Turks....as a bad thing.

The numbers involved in the genocide seem to vary quite a bit in the urban legend arena of reporting.

The latest story says that 1.5 million Armenians were killed. I swear I've heard a number as high as 5 million....but rumors and numbers always seem to create their own base....depending on who is doing the talking.

The Turks simply say it was a part of World War I and s..t happens.

Turkey is threatening to pull its 17 soldiers out of Afghanistan and quadruple our rent on the bases we use to launch air strikes against Iraq and Afghanistan. This will probably increase the number of Billionaires in Turkey from 25 to 30.

It appears that only 9% of the Turkish people view the United States...favorably.

I guess we should return our Turkish towels to the local consulate. 800 thread count! Bummer...I really loved those towels but sometimes we all have to make sacrifices.

AND THEN WE TRAVEL FROM TURKEY AND TIBET AND WASHINGTON D.C. AND RETURN TO EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MATTERS HERE N LOS ANGELES.

THE KOBE BUSS AFFAIR
I'm really not concerned over where Kobe plays basketball, but Los Angeles will really miss Phil Jackson when he permanently moves back to Montana....and that MIGHT happen sooner than later if the KOBE BUSS situation doesn't improve. The KOBE BUSS is not working and the drive shaft and transmission are in dire need of repair. Whatever it takes to make it work is ok with me....and if that means saying goodbye to Kobe....so be it. If it means turning the Lakers over to Phil's chick...then so be it.....JUST DO SOMETHING SO THAT WE DON'T HAVE KEEP LISTENING TO BULLS..T THAT ISN'T IMPORTANT.....and I apologize for even bringing it up.

Maybe Kobe would like to play in Turkey......I hear they have great gyms made out of Armenian teeth collected from some incident in the early 20th Century.

But what the hell....it's just another WAR story.

and quoting the Boss.....(who happens to be coming to town at the end of this month)

"WAR.........WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?"

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

SAY IT AGAIN

WAR!

WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Candidate and you.

http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460

This is a link to a web site that allows you to answer 10 questions and then it links you with the candidate that agrees with your views.

My answers revealed that I prefer Christopher Dodd....which is really interesting because I've never considered him.

Selecting a candidate that can win is primary...and I'm fairly certain that Christopher Dodd can't be elected President of the United States. But I will look into his agenda.

I heard a video the other day by Dennis Kucinich's wife and was truly impressed. She has an extremely active humanitarian background....besides being a hot redhead.

It appears that Hillary is starting to separate herself from the pack. I've said it before and I'll say it again...anyone married to Bill is ok with me. I heard an expression for the first time the other day...regarding Bill.

He would be the FIRST LADDIE.

Now that's cute!

I've keep hoping that Ralph Nader will host one of the debates but that's not going to happen because their isn't a politician alive that wants to be grilled by Ralph.

Iowa is just 3 months away and Hillary and Mitt will probably win. It's not a done deal when you walk away with the blue ribbon from Iowa but it does seem to perk interest for those voters who haven't started focusing on the election.

Christorpher Dodd? Wow.....who would have thunk?

Maybe I should take the test a few more times and see what happens. Maybe I feel different today about some of the answers.........after all it's flexibility that counts when it comes to politics.....or haven't you noticed?

Of course I'm kidding and flexibility seems to be the last asset that people admire in politicians...but I've always thought that the ability to admit being wrong and then traveling a different path...was a positive thing.

Politicians seem to admire the viewpoints that they held when they were 16....and nothing can change their minds.....except of course Mitt Romney who has changed everything. But then again he's a Mormon so no one has a real clue to his beliefs.

He's one of those.....tell you what you want to hear guys......and he seems to be really good at it....so he'll probably get the Republican nomination.

Christopher Dodd?

Another Wow...but time to redo the test.

Give it a shot.
