Big Day for household pets

I just wanted to ease you into the real story by giving you a few morsels to observe before I got to the biggest freakin bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich you will ever see.

Reese.....and nothing more needs to be said.

The dog actually won a beauty contest for dogs which really scares me because this picture was taken just after he had his hair cut off. This is really a Collie on the Atkins diet, and I just don't understand why they do this sort of thing.

The Panda turns out to be the first man-made Panda. Which of course means that it was probably made in China and then shipped to San Diego and lived at the Wal-Mart in El Cajon.

The problem here is that the first man made Panda released into the wild....has died. Of course they are trying to find out who was using him for a dart board but none of the other Panda's are talking. There are some rumors that two Gorillas are being held for questioning but lawyers are worried that they will go ape shit if not released very soon. One woman did report seeing a crazy monkey running away from the scene yelling something about...."I thought it was a skunk with a thyroid problem....and I was just trying to save the world from permanent odor damage."

And now the real story.

The PIG that you have just seen........was killed by the boy with an air gun. He is 11 years old and is freakin name is Daniel Boone "the giant pig killer." Apparently he does this for a living and he gets special time-off from school so that the community where he lives....can sleep at night. This picture was taken in Bel-Air, California.

The strangest part of the story is that the Panda, the dog and Reese were found inside the Pig when they started the process of making 5,000,000 slabs of Bacon. The dog was dead....The Panda was pissed and Reese was just happy to be working.

CHINA HAS AN FDA

The fact that China actually has an FDA says something. The idea that one of the their previous commissioners is being put to death for taking bribes.... also says something.

Kobe Bryant demanded a trade today from the Lakers.

I think maybe China might be a good place to trade him. Jerry Buss has to feel a little disappointed in Mr. Bryant. Not only did he stick by him during his Colorado fiasco but then turns around and gives him $134 million and says goodbye to Shaq.

If I was Dr. Buss I would make him my driver so that any future DUI's could be avoided.

How about a trade to Miami for Shaq and Dwayne Wade.

Would Kobe be bitchin right now if he had signed with the Clippers?

I would really like to see him traded for Alex Rodriquez and then we could have a third baseman on the Dodgers. I've heard he was a fairly good basketball player so it could be a double switch. Send the Yankees and the Knicks...Kobe and Mark Hendrickson.

But really the best place for him would be somewhere outside of Beijing....there's got to be some tall Chinese dudes who are looking for the chance to live in LA.

Memorial Day and Dead Bread

Today is the day we honor the soldier's who have given their lives so that we may fight another war.
Personally my favorite soldiers are the ones that are still alive... and in fact....one of my favorite people is an ex-marine, if there is such a thing, who seems a lot more relevant in his present physical state, then those 3,454 United States soldiers who have died in IRAQ.

"Give up your life so that we may fight another war"

If they used that for a recruiting slogan....I imagine it might cause someone to pause before signing up.

On the other hand....those people who dig the concept and the reality of WAR will jump on board.

I have issues closer to home that need to be addressed and since this is a day to honor the dead, I think it's only appropriate that I saw what I saw when I walked up to the corner to get my coffee.

I read so much about poverty and hunger problems throughout the world and even here in the United States. I've heard figures like 10 million children in the US go to bed every night....HUNGRY.

I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THAT FIGURE BECAUSE IT'S ONE OF THOSE NUMBERS LIKE HUMMINGBIRD WING BEATS PER SECOND.......THE NUMBER IS SO FREAKIN HIGH THAT I CAN'T WRAP MY BRAIN AROUND IT AND I ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK IT UP TO VERIFY THE TRUTH.

THERE ARE A LOT OF NUMBERS LIKE THAT......BUT THE FACT THAT EVEN 50 KIDS GO TO BED HUNGRY IN THIS COUNTRY......IS STUPID.

ESPECIALLY WHEN I WALK UP TO GET MY COFFEE AND I NOTICE, NEXT TO THE TRASH CONTAINER OF PIONEER BOULANGERIE(A BAKERY) AT LEAST 50 BAGS OF DIFFERENT FORMS OF BREAD....BEING THROWN AWAY.

THERE IS PROBABLY MORE FOOD BEING THROWN AWAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THAN CERTAIN COUNTRIES, IN AFRICA, HAVE IN A WEEK.

AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT USED FOOD.

AND IF CHILDREN IN THIS COUNTRY ARE GOING TO BED HUNGRY AT NIGHT THEN WHY HASN'T SOME POLITICIAN STEPPED FORWARD AND CONSTRUCTED A BILL THAT SAYS.... ANY NON-USED FOOD BEING THROWN OUT MUST FIRST BE DELIVERED TO A SHELTER OR A MISSION OR A GROUP THAT CAN DISTRIBUTE THE FOOD TO PEOPLE WHO NEED IT.

WE PROBABLY HAVE SOME HEALTH ORGANIZATION THAT WON'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.....WHILE AT THE SAME TIME CHINA CAN FREAKIN POISON OUR PETS AND SEND US DEADLY PUFFER FISH BY MISTAKE.

SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH THIS PROGRAM

AN IT APPEARS TO BE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE FIXED WITH A LITTLE COMMON SENSE AND COMPASSION.

IF OUR COUNTRY TURNED JUST A TAD BIT OF THE COMPASSION DEVOTED TO SOLDIERS WHO HAVE DIED, SO THAT WE MAY FIGHT ANOTHER WAR....TO THE PROCESS OF CARING ABOUT CHILDREN GOING TO BED HUNGRY....THE PROBLEM WOULD BE GREATLY REDUCED IF NOT SOLVED COMPLETELY.

SPORTS BREAK

Today a bunch of fast cars got together in Indiana and the rain caused a problem except for Ashley Judd's husband. The youngest Andretti racer escaped a very hairy moment....and at 20 years old probably saw his short life past in front of him.

The Dodgers had to go extra innings due to the fact that they have an attack program that relies on their pitching staff to hold the other team while they finally get a few walks and a hit batsman....which they finally did to defeat the Cubs and stay tied for first place.....where they have actually been for the last three weeks.

There is a lot of speculation on the lack of power hitters....working for the Dodgers. I don't have a problem with banjo hitters as long as they hit some double banjos......but if they only get singles then they need seven or eight guys batting over 300 and that's not happening.

What they do have is a pitching staff that might be the best in baseball.....but it's still much too early to tell......50 games done and 112 to go.....and everybody knows that anybody can still win....including the Yankees who have fallen 400 games behind Boston. How bummed will they be when Clemens shows up and rips his 45 year Rotator Cuff? But then again A Rod could hit 89 more home runs and overcome any pitching problem that might be present.

The Ducks are playing for the Stanley Cup and the fact that I'm reporting anything about Hockey is really weird. Next thing you know I'll be reporting on Soccer and that guy married to the Spice girl.

The fact that I've brought up Auto Racing, Hockey and Soccer really means that THE RAPTURE might be approaching.

And that's my sports break.

CHINA WHINA

Since I've spend so much time and energy attempting to illustrate the art of.....WHATEVER THE ART IS OR SHOULD BE WHEN dealing with China.....I'm not really sure what I am trying to accomplish because truthfully this train will not be re-routed....no matter what anyone says or does.

Realistically speaking....the products we obtain from CHINA will only increase.....BUT WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS SOME TYPE OF REGULATORY COMMITTEE THAT ISN'T JUST A BUNCH OF RUBBER STAMPING DICKHEADS.

I'VE DECIDED TO MAKE MY POINTS, REGARDING CHINA, BY E-MAILING MY CONGRESSMAN....HENRY WAXMAN.

THAT SHOULD BE GOOD FOR A FEW LAUGHS....or as my beautiful daughter said yesterday.....MY BLOG SOUNDS LIKE IT'S INTENDED FOR CRAZY PEOPLE....so it makes sense that I should start writing a congressman.

IT TURNS OUT THAT THERE MIGHT BE AN ABUNDANCE OF CRAZY PEOPLE SO THEREFORE MY AUDIENCE MIGHT BE LARGER THAN I THOUGHT.

CRAZY is such a funny word........it's usage has probably changed quite a bit from the times when they put "crazy" people in "places for crazy people."

Today it's like an affectionate term for the strange uncle or nutty cousin....or that loner math professor from Northern California who doesn't play enough golf.

INSANE GETS MORE TO THE POINT and at least Lily didn't say my blog was intended for INSANE people.....now that would have been harsh and cruel....and my guess is that insane people probably have a hard time concentrating on the written word.

BUT WHAT THE HEAVEN DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH CHINA?

I THINK WHAT LILY IS SAYING IS THAT COMPLAINING ABOUT CHINA MIGHT BE A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY AND ONLY CRAZY PEOPLE MIGHT FIND IT AMUSING.

I don't find the China/United States relationship to be amusing.....and after watching off-shore manufacturing destroy the American Furniture Industry, I actually have some knowledge in this area.

AND I STARTED POINTING IT OUT OVER TEN YEARS AGO....and if you thought people aren't ready now...imagine how nutty I appeared in 1997.

Of course since 1994 I have had a very good reason to drift off to the nutty side of life....but since I've always had a different angle on issues....I can't really blame my behavior on one extremely large tragedy....even though I am sure IT contributes to being occasionally pissed off....and I'm not deranged to the point that I think China had anything to do with what happened in 1994......but I'm looking into it.....just in case.

ALL I'M ASKING IS THAT THE UNITED STATES TAKES AN ACTIVE INTEREST IN THE SAFETY OF PRODUCTS THAT ORIGINATE IN CHINA

THAT'S NEITHER CRAZY NOR INSANE.

WHAT IS CRAZY are THE FOLLOWING:

4000 PETS dead from poison manufactured at a plant in China that was bulldozed in order to prevent investigation.

Deadly Puffer Fish sent from China to three states in America.......by mistake.

MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF FOOD IMPORTED FROM CHINA WHEN WE ARE PAYING FARMERS NOT TO GROW.

THE SYSTEMATIC DESTRUCTION OF TIBET AND A PEACEFUL AND SPIRITUAL WAY OF LIFE....that has existed far longer than American Idol.....which seems to be the new bastion for spiritual awakening in these United States....( 74 million votes....you figure it out.....)

The last sentence might be the most appalling action that has been conducted on the part of the Chinese government.

TO HAVE A FEAR OF TIBETAN MONKS BECAUSE THEY TEACH PEACEFUL AND SPIRITUAL HARMONY.... IS THE TRUE INDICATION OF WHAT THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT MIGHT BE ABOUT...and when one thinks about that eradication then one might have a slight clue where the safety of United States citizens and their pets, sits on China's list of important issues to address.

THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF AND IF ONLY CRAZY PEOPLE CAN RELATE...THEN WELCOME TO THE FARM.....where everything being manufactured has MADE IN CHINA stamped directly on the outside of the box.

I'm going to ignore China for the next few weeks and concentrate on issues closer to home....because I'm just tired on being a CHINA WHINA....and I'm sure you've had enough to last for awhile.

I was wondering where the RIGHT is?

Reading this morning about CHINA and their one child policy.....I was simply wondering where the Religious Right is on this matter. There doesn't seem to be a huge verbal outcry and considering that the government forces abortion on their citizens....one would think that the screams would be heard from every corner of the land.

There really is a hands off policy regarding China and their human rights policies.

Speaking of the Religious Right.....the other day on Public Broadcasting radio I heard an hour speech by a gentleman named Chip Burleigh(sp) and it was quite amazing. His focus is on attempting to explain how the Religious Right is regarding the Middle East and the END GAME leading to THE RAPTURE.

IT'S ABSOLUTELY PETRIFYING when you think that the EVANGELICAL RELIGIOUS RIGHT is the largest single voting bloc in this country. So that means that people and policies are being put into play...who believe that anything that helps cause chaos in the Middle East is a good thing because it's all part of the END GAME.....which leads to THE RAPTURE....which is the return of Jesus Christ.....I think.

I'll have to admit that I'm not really up on this stuff and things like Colony Collapse Disorder seem much more important to me....but what is important to me, might really be insignificant compared to what's important to the largest single voting bloc in this country.

I heard rumors a few years ago that our President was on this RAPTURE program philosophy and I simply rejected the notion because after all....HE'S THE FREAKIN PRESIDENT and no matter how lacking in intelligence he might be displaying....there is no way that he is a complete idiot.

I'm wondering if when I rejected that notion....was I being a complete idiot?

THE TRUTH IS.....I regard the people who subscribe to THE END GAME and THE RAPTURE as a continuation of non-evolved human beings who have been playing this game for the last 2000 years.

One of Mr. Burleigh's points was how DEDICATED certain people were during the CIVIL WAR regarding THE RAPTURE. It seems that a large block of people were convinced that the ending of slavery was one of the major signs for THE END GAME taking place.

I think I need to change my policy regarding how I regard the people who subscribe to this scenario.

THEY DO HAVE SIMILAR REFERENCE POINTS TO THE MUSLIMS WHEN IT COMES TO STICKING BY THEIR BELIEFS....AND WE ARE LEARNING THAT.......

And I think it is strange that I have a built in paranoia when it comes to talking about the Koran....WHICH isn't even the right way to spell it.

First and foremost....any pressure that is being applied to a student is most likely being generated from the individual families. I would like to announce right now that any student I personally know that is either in college or getting ready to attend college.....HAS PERMISSION TO FAIL....or.....TRANSFER to another institution.


COLLEGE IS SUPPOSE TO BE A FUN EXPERIENCE.....because learning should be a fun experience.

I understand the pressure to succeed but success can be measured in so many ways.
My job might be to point out how many different ways there are to be successful....so that any student I love will never feel the type of pressure that causes them to even think about taking their own life.

Now if Cal turns around and beats USC four years in a row.....I might just engage in termination thoughts....but since that could never happen I don't think it's anything to worry about.....

.....just like failing a class in college....or if an A personality is involved.....just like getting a C on a test.

WE APPLY PRESSURE TO OURSELVES. THE JOB OF A SUPPORTIVE FAMILY IS TO REMIND EACH AND EVERY PERSON THAT WE LOVE THEM.....NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

IT SEEMS TO BE A LESSON THAT IS NOT BEING ADHERED TO ON SO MANY LEVELS

WITHDRAWAL FROM A CLASS EARLY IN THE SEMESTER IS THE BEST THING ONE CAN DO WHEN FACED WITH GETTING A BAD GRADE. THE CLASS CAN ALWAYS BE TAKEN AGAIN and again and again and again and again.

There will be times that everything seems overwhelming but that's why they created College Football.....and why they have football in the fall. Those Saturday afternoons are the greatest stress releases ever invented. Use them wisely and have fun.....and try not to drink so much beer that someone has to carry you back to your dorm....unless it's a Rhodes Scholar Quarterback

IT'S FREAKIN COLLEGE and those of us who went OR didn't have the chance to go .....would trade with you in a heart beat.

Here's what needs to happen

Now that Paul Wolfowitz is no longer employed he needs to address a few important issues...and he could be made the Commissioner of these issues.

Paul Wolfowitz has been appointed commissioner of a few projects that need immediate attention and his previous expertize should prove very valuable to helping solve these very important problems....

FIRST PROJECT....Find out what is really happening to the bee population and put an end to Colony Collapse Disorder

SECOND PROJECT....Spearhead the national conversion to LED lighting....much like Australia has announced a conversion to fluorescent, which are no where near the energy saving device of an LED light. This is a vital issue to the reduction of oil and coal and America could be the global leader of promoting LEDs....and Paul Wolfowitz could once again be the hero like the hero that lives inside his own mind.

THIRD PROJECT....Be the person that oversees anything being imported from China. With his global awareness it should be fairly easy to form a regulatory committee that makes sure everything we buy from China....is safe.....for both our pets and ourselves. I realize we have regulatory commissions but they need to be revitalized and placed under the guidance of a strong central leader and Paul Wolfowitz is the man of the hour.

FOURTH PROJECT....Paul Wolfowitz should be appointed as a second lieutenant to Al Gore in the battle to slow down Global Warming. It might seem like a sentence to him, but it also will make up for the bulls..t he created regarding IRAQ. Al will get him headed down the right path.

More geek news.....not

Yesterday I lost my blog due to a strange request to login before publishing. On Tuesday I ventured into my ADD and REMOVE program to remove the trial version of Microsoft Office that had expired last week.

CAN OF WORMS could be the expression one might use when viewing the process of removing anything that says MICROSOFT.

I should know better but then again reality and perceived reality are truly two different worlds.

Before I had installed the two month trial version....I had MICROSOFT WORD in my system which was part of the XP program from 2003. After the trial version ended I no longer had my original WORD program so I figured if I REMOVED the trial version from the ADD AND REMOVE PORTION OF MY CONTROL PANEL.....THAT MY ORIGINAL WORD WOULD BE RESTORED.

WRONG

ALL MY PREVIOUS WORD FILES CAME BACK AS WORD PAD FILES...which I don't work in.

So this morning I decided to do a SYSTEM RESTORE BACK TO MONDAY AND SEE IF WORD FILES WOULD REAPPEAR

YES AND NO

THEY APPEAR....BUT MY WINDOWS INSTALLER DOES NOT WANT TO INSTALL ANYTHING....and a little note came up that said I needed to call Bill Gates at a private number so that I could be reprimanded for not buying the NEW OFFICE PACKAGE after testing it for two months.

OF COURSE I WISH I HAD BOUGHT THE NEW OFFICE PACKAGE....JUST LIKE I WISH I HAD A LEAR JET AND A PRIVATE YACHT AND NO MORE WAR ON THE PLANET AND ON AND ON....

One thing I hate to admit but I will.......THE NEW VERSION OF WORD IS.....

and I will eventually get it....but since I refuse to download illegally...I'll have to wait by the side of cyperhighwayhell and whistle a different tune.....a tune that has something to do with WORD PAD.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EXERCISED THE SYSTEM RESTORE COMMAND AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE SOMETHING ONE WANTS TO DO UNLESS THERE IS A MAJOR
PROBLEM

THIS WAS A MINOR ISSUE THAT I'VE MADE INTO A MAJOR ISSUE AND I WOULD IMAGINE THAT IN THE WORLD OF COMPUTER STUPIDITY....THAT THIS IS NOT AN IRREGULAR OCCURRENCE.

Those of us that have exterior knowledge of the computer should never dick around with the interior knowledge without having either a techie....or a book....close by.....or of course...... a hammer.

The fact that I've been driving this machine every day for the last five years and have no idea how to change the oil is truly an indication that I'm not only not a geek.....I'm not even a fauxgeek.

THERE ARE THINGS I CAN DO WITH CERTAIN COMPUTER PROGRAMS BUT THOSE THINGS ARE CREATIVE THINGS AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE INNER WORKINGS OF THE SYSTEM.

THE INNER WORKINGS OF THE SYSTEM......SCARE ME TO THE POINT, THAT I DON'T GO THERE. Which was compounded a few years ago when I started messing in the Administration Area and had no machine for three months.

Somehow all my dicking around ( a few years ago) fried the MOMMAboard and a few little babyboards and numerous other ingredients.

BUT I NEED TO VENTURE BACK UP THE MOUNTAIN AND SCALE THE HEIGHTS OF WINDOW AWARENESS.

OBVIOUSLY SOME PEOPLE AT THIS POINT DO HAVE A SLIGHT MENTAL MOMENT OF WONDERING......HUMMMMMM.......APPLE?

But I'm fairly certain that I'm way too stupid to make that type of switch....even though I keep being told that, as an artist, I would love the MAC stuff.

I THINK LOVE MIGHT BE A STRONG WORD....BECAUSE BEFORE LOVING I WOULD HAVE TO START AT THE VERY BEGINNING AND LEARN ABOUT LIKING.

At this point I'm just trying to figure out how to get WORD 1997-2003 back into my reality......I know it's in there somewhere, in the deep recesses of an XP artificial brain......
and maybe if I just take the hammer and give it a slight tap......

Ok...... so maybe the last one isn't on the list but how is a woman suppose to react to all the other items listed?

The chemicals have official names...kinda like hurricanes and I will list some of them because perhaps making note of them while shopping might help. If a woman reduces the 216 down to 75 then that would be a positive thing....right?

The article states that of the 80,000 chemicals registered for use in the United States....only 1000 of them have been tested on animals.

Animal activists are totally pissed about the 1000 that have been tested......and I on the other hand think 79,000 more animals need to be recruited.....soon.

Women will have to learn these names........or at the very least carry a list with them when they shop.....PROVIDED THE COMPANIES LIST THEM ON THE LABEL

1,4 -DIOXANE is used in detergents, shampoos and soaps and they do have all the ingredients listed so this is one that can be avoided.

WHAT BLOWS MY MIND IS THAT THE COMPANIES THAT ADD 1,4-DIOXANE TO THEIR PRODUCT HAVE TO KNOW THIS STUFF IS NOT HEALTHY....DON'T THEY?

IF THEY DO KNOW AND THEY KEEP USING IT, THEN IT'S FREAKIN TIME FOR WYATT EARP AND RALPH NADER.

I'm just glad that I'm not a woman who woke up this morning and picked up the paper for a little info and casual reading....and had to read this article.

But I've got a feeling that if these chemicals cause problems in woman's breast....then tomorrow's story will be a follow up.....

We all need to learn the names of chemicals and quit trusting that our government is doing a great job of screening.

79,000 chemicals have not been tested on animals.

EACH TEST COSTS $2 MILLION DOLLARS.....and that's a few weeks in Iraq...and we can't be cutting back on that project to make sure that products we use day in an day out......aren't killing us.

THERE'S JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME OR MONEY.......?????????

WE'VE GOT OBLIGATIONS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD THAT NEED OUR ATTENTION......???????????

TESTING PRODUCTS THAT SELL EXTREMELY WELL AT A LOCAL SUPERMARKET......DON'T HAVE TO BE REGULATED.

COOPERATE CONGLOMERATES WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HURT THE AMERICAN CONSUMER.....WOULD THEY?

What worries me is that when "they" look at our 290 million population...they just shrug if off because sitting across the Ocean are 1.6 billion potential Chinese consumers.......so if we croak....they have a huge back-up plan.

WOMEN NEED TO GRAB THIS ISSUE BY THE BALLS....AND RUN WITH IT UNTIL POLITICIANS ARE STRETCHED TO THE MAX.....and those politicians that don't have balls need to lead the charge.

Come on ladies....time to put a halt to the nonsense. Time to stop caring so much about the life of some animals and worry more about what they hell is happening when you take a shower.....or eat fried food....or sit on Vinyl......or cook with Teflon......or sniff a little paint remover.

Yesterday I was in need of the extremely cheap lunch and pulled into McDonald's for two of their $1.oo double cheeseburgers. As I was pulling away from the window I noticed a woman standing in the middle of the driveway. I waited 20 seconds for her to move and watched as she approached my car. I figured it was going to be request for change and I was getting ready to say something about having just enough to get my two cheeseburgers when she said the following words.

"You realize that driving your SUV and buying food at McDonald's that you are supporting the Chinese. McDonald's is a major sponsor for the Beijing Olympics."

I didn't really have a response because she was on point....and since I have been bashing the Chinese lately in my blogs, I just assumed that she was being a conduit for the..... UNIVERSE.

As she started to walk away she said one more thing...."you should act as aware as you think you are."

So like any good American gas guzzling irresponsible citizen......I ran over her and hightailed it down the road.

SERIOUSLY

SHE WAS SIMPLY BEING USED AND I WAS SIMPLY BEING TOLD.

It is amazing how those of us who know right from wrong....continue to act in ways that contradict our beliefs.

When I think about how I think politically and then how I act realistically...I realize that talk really is cheap and that changing one's habits is really the core of the problem.

Those people that walk the walk while talking the talk have so much more validity than those of us who just babble on and on about what's right and wrong....and continue to live without the slightest regard for the overall consequences of our actions.

To think that two double cheeseburgers would be enough to finally push the buttons of higher powers who wonder what the heaven I'm doing.

Of course one has to believe in higher powers for something like this to matter.

I not only believe in higher powers.....I believe in multiple levels of higher powers and I believe that yesterday in a McDonald's parking lot in Culver City California....I was approached BY SOMETHING that was telling me to wake up and walk the walk.

I believe that there are so many levels of creation that if we were totally aware of all the non-physical levels.....our heads would explode. So we get occasional glimpses and clues and never too much at any one time. It really might be one of our main jobs, as human beings, to detect those moments and then response accordingly......or not.

BUT REMEMBER THIS NEO-ILLUMINATION

HAPPINESS MIGHT BE BASED ON MUCH TRUTH ONE CAN IGNORE

and the fact that this short encounter happened on one of my dearest friend's birthday..... is just an added bonus.

How many double cheeseburgers would they sell if they were a quarter? It's sick but I probably would have had four of them....but I can tell you one thing.

I'M GOING TO THINK VERY HARD BEFORE I DO IT AGAIN.

and that's the only thing any of us can do before we conduct an action that might have ramifications for the Earth, and the entire human species....that is just borrowing the land for..........(hopefully)......... a few million years.

Talk about connections

Yesterday I reported on the SUPERNOVA SUPERSTAR and then a fire literally destroys Griffith Park and threatens thousands of homes in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.

I sure hope the two stories aren't connected.

We could be in deep s..t if our planet was affected by something that happened 220 million light years away....but I feel that so many things happening closer to home.....feel like they are much further away.

Sometimes Iraq feels further away than SN 2006gy....by the way how do you pronounce SN 2006gy?

And sometimes Washington D.C. feels further away than Iraq.

My father said yesterday that we don't really know what's going on.....and I totally disagree.
WE is a collective term and I'm very certain there are quite a few people, in the WE, that know exactly what's going on.

THEY MIGHT NOT WANT TO SAY IT OUT LOUD....BUT THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.

THEY'VE GOT TO MAKE SURE EVERYBODY ALIVE BELONGS TO THE SAME GROUP

SUPERNOVA SUPERSTAR

220 Million light years from Earth.....(and with the current price of gasoline that trip would be about a trillion zillion dollars, unless of course you are a graduate student at the University of Texas named Robert Quimby....who somehow spotted this supernova superstar....about six months ago).... A REALLY BIG STAR EXPLODED.
The exploding star is called SN 2006gy....and is regarded as the brightest supernova ever discovered. The star is, or was, located in the NGC 1260 galaxy and is, or was, so powerful that it is, or was, brighter than it's galaxy.
Please note that a supernova is a star that has exploded and is thus......dead. Of course it's a death that will be visible for thousands of years.
Apparently we have a star in our galaxy called Eta Carine that is the largest star in the Milky Way and if it exploded we, without telescopes, would be able to see it in the daytime. It would be about a tenth as bright as a full moon.
Why they think Eta Carine will explode....is another entire question. Somehow the explosion of SN 2006gy is making the science nerds rethink their positions on the fate of Eta Carine.

Yesterday was a huge day for sports junkies but before I recap the sweating I need to point out that this morning LEDs made the big time.

DOONESBURY MENTIONS LEDs TWICE IN HIS SIX PANEL SUNDAY MORNING "EPISODE"

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE STAMP OF APPROVAL FOR THE GREATEST ENERGY SAVING PRODUCT TO EVER BE INVENTED....and although Mr. Trudeau didn't refer to it as a device to save energy, he at least let millions of people read those wonderful letters L E D....as they woke up this morning.

back to the sports page....and a little about SPIDEY.

Calvin Borel and Floyd Mayweather are the two happiest athletes on the planet......Street Sense might be happy but who the hell knows what a horse thinks....even a horse who performs for the Queen of England...who by the way bet all of her pounds on IMAWILDANDCRAZYGUY....because she's a huge STEVE MARTIN fan....which I bet you didn't know about the cute little queenie.

One of the strange side stories from the Kentucky Derby is based on a KISS. Gene Simmon's woman, Shannon Tweed, bet $100,000 dollars on a horse, because she liked the color of the jockey's silks. The story did not mention if they won or lost but usually when someone wins it's hard to keep it quiet.

But no matter how I look at all the action from yesterday I still can't get over the fact that Doonesbury mentioned the LED light.

A story that needs to be investigated:

THE PROBLEM IN DARFUR MIGHT BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CHINESE. It seems that a Chinese OIL company is deeply entrenched in the inner workings of the Sudan.

EVERYWHERE I TURN.....THE CHINESE ARE PRESENT. I'm hoping Calvin Borel doesn't ride horses for them....but then racing is probably not the primary use of a horse in CHINA. Most likely a horse is a speciality item on the menu.

GROSS thought, but probably not that gross in CHINA.

since LED lights are manufactured in CHINA.....I guess I'll have to cut them a little slack.

BUT LED MANUFACTURING IS NOT A REASON TO SEND US POISON PET FOOD.

IT DOES SEEMS THAT IN THE WORLD OF ECONOMIC STABILITY AND GLOBAL EXPANSIONISM THAT THERE WILL BE NUMEROUS TRADE OFFS.

We (US) need to weight the benefits and install safeguards.....whenever possible.

Sometimes it's important to take a few steps back before jumping ahead.....just ask Calvin Borel how affective that can be......

In Hawaii yesterday there was a huge celebration for the life of Don Ho who passed away recently. In many people's minds....for a very long time.....DON HO was the Hawaiian experience. Of course the islands are spectacularly beautiful, but human beings have always managed to rise above the scenery when they learn to ENTERTAIN WELL.

NOBODY IN HAWAIIAN HISTORY COULD ENTERTAIN BETTER THAN DON HO...and that fact and deserves to be mentioned. HE WAS HAWAII....and although Hawaii still stands...a small piece of her heart has been removed.

I have to apologize for a comment I made on Thursday about not caring if pets were poisoned....because I didn't own one. The truth is I know a few pets and they seem like nice enough sorts.....and their owners would be very upset if anything happen to them.....so the apology is intended for the owners....unless of course some pets are able to read and then by all means this apology is directed toward....you.
If you are a pet that can read.....give me a call....we need to have lunch and discuss what the CHINESE are freakin doing with their poison "wheat."

It still blows my mind that the greatest food producing country in the world (US) has to resort to buying anything edible from ASIA.

I understand the need to buy bananas from South America countries because we don't grow them......but garlic and honey and canned mushrooms and pet food......from CHINA? Oh yeah and don't forget the hard to find......sausage casings(?)

I'm fairly certain sausage casings(?) are created from by-product when animals are slaughtered for food. We don't slaughter enough animals in America?

The pet food situation is appalling. We (US) are buying tainted ingredients for pet food from a country that would eat our pets if given the opportunity. Of course they can't eat my pet because I don't have one....but I would not appreciate anyone eating a friend's pet....or for that matter...a stranger's pet.

My ex-wife says that there was a lot of CHINA basing during the Republican debate. Since I was unable to watch the event due to a severe case of "can't listen to anymore Republicans ...flu" .....I investigated the debate by going on line and reading some newspaper account of the debate.

IT FEELS LIKE CHINA IS BEING GIVEN A HALL PASS REGARDING ALMOST EVERYTHING IN THEIR CULTURE.

We(US) really seem to be only concerned when they (CHINA) are involved in bootlegging our movies. THAT CREATES A HUGE FOCUS AND EVERYBODY IN SHOW BUSINESS AND THE SHOW BUSINESS POLITICIANS.......SCREAM BLOODY MURDER.

STOP THE VIDEO PIRATES IN CHINA!

WHERE'S THE SAME INTENSITY WHEN THEY POISON OUR (YOUR) PETS?

China will be a much bigger problem than it is today.....because today all we (US) want, are products that can sell at the .99 cent store....and we (US) don't seem to care how that goal gets accomplished.

THE INDUSTRIES THAT HAVE BEEN DEVASTATED AND OR ELIMINATED BY MANUFACTURING IN CHINA....ARE
EXTENSIVE.

A GLOBAL ECONOMY MEANS ANYTHING GOES WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING AND SELLING GOODS.

THE SITUATION PROBABLY CANNOT BE REVERSED.....BUT REGULATIONS COULD BE ADHERED TO.......IF SOMEONE WANTS TO DO BUSINESS WITH US......THERE MUST BE SOME GUIDELINES.

AND THOSE GUIDELINES HAVE TO BE INITIATED BY A COUNTRY THAT BELIEVES EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL IS IMPORTANT.

I'M NOT ABOUT TO CLAIM WE (US) DO THAT IN A COMPLETE FASHION....BUT IT IS THE ESSENCE OF OUR CONSTITUTION AND OUR BILL OF RIGHTS...AND THAT SEEMS A LOT FURTHER ADVANCED THAN ANYTHING CHINA HAS GOING.

I'M NOT SEEKING ACTION THAT WOULD INTERRUPT THE EXPANDING IDEA OF A GLOBAL ECONOMY...I'M JUST LOOKING FOR VERBIAGE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE ISSUES THAT WILL BECOME A MAJOR CONCERN FOR OUR CHILDREN....AND OF COURSE ALREADY IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR EVERY PET IN AMERICA....AND THUS EVERY PET OWNER.....JUST LIKE YOU.

RESPONSIBILITY MUST BE AN ISSUE, IF ANYONE WANTS TO DO BUSINESS WITH us....don't you think? It's not asking too much to avoid poisoning our (your) pets....is it?
I also get a tad bit concerned that the problem might extend to human food.....such as garlic, honey, canned mushrooms and sausage casings(?).......but that's another story which will most likely turn out to be
huge....and really scary.

REPUBLICANS TURN

Yesterday the 10 leading Republicans had their debate. I didn't watch it because I was busy doing......anything other than watching ten Republicans. I've had to watch Republicans for the last six years and I'm not really sure there is anything new they can tell me. Of course one likes to see who might be Presidential material but I'm fairly certain I know the three that will fight it out.

After those names the rest just don't have enough name recognition to be serious players. I find it hard to believe that any Republican has a chance in the next election....but it's important to keep one thing in mind.

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS A SNEAKY PARTY AND THEY MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING UP THEIR SLEEVE BEFORE ELECTION TIME.

Last year China EXPORTED $3.8 BILLION WORTH OF FOOD TO THE UNITED STATES.

MAJOR TYPES OF FOOD EXPORTED....APPLE JUICE, GARLIC, SAUSAGE CASINGS( WHAT THE F..K ARE SAUSAGE CASINGS) CANNED MUSHROOMS AND
HONEY

THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THIS INFORMATION.

LET'S START WITH
$3.8 BILLION WORTH OF FOOD

IS THIS FOOD BEING IMPORTED BY THE UNITED STATES TO OFFSET THE FARMERS WHO ARE BEING PAID NOT TO GROW FOOD....WHICH IS STILL ONE OF THE STRANGEST THINGS I'VE EVER HEARD AND NEVER FULLY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO UNDERSTAND.

THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PAYS CORN AND WHEAT (AND GOD KNOWS WHAT OTHER PRODUCTS) FARMERS TO NOT GROW PRODUCT ON THEIR FARMS.

And the reasoning might make sense until one discovers that the UNITED STATES IS BUYING $3.8 BILLION WORTH OF FOOD FROM CHINA.

PLEASE NOTE: THE UNITED STATES HAS SPENT 40 YEARS TRYING TO CONTROL THE USE OF DANGEROUS PESTICIDES AND HAS BANNED MANY PRODUCTS THAT CAUSE CANCER.

DOES ANYONE IN THIS COUNTRY THINK THAT CHINA GIVES A RAT'S ASS ABOUT PESTICIDE USE IN THEIR COUNTRY......ESPECIALLY PESTICIDES THAT ARE USED TO GROW PRODUCT, WHICH IN TURN WILL BE SENT TO THE UNITED STATES.

DO THEY THINK WE ARE FREAKIN IDIOTS?

DO THEY CARE WHAT WE THINK.... AS LONG AS WE KEEP BUILDING THEIR INFRASTRUCTURE WITH OUR AMERICAN DOLLARS?

I BELIEVE IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY....IF THAT GLOBAL ECONOMY IS BASED ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD....and I realize that cost of labor will never be unified on a GLOBAL basis.....but codes of conduct regarding the use of dangerous chemicals MUST BE ADHERED TO...if anyone wants to do business with anyone else.

ESPECIALLY IF CHINA WANTS TO SELL FOOD TO THE UNITED STATES.

CHINA SELLING GARLIC TO THE UNITED STATES REALLY PISSES ME OFF. I'VE BEEN TO GILROY AND I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT OUR GARLIC INVENTORY IS SO LOW THAT WE NEED TO CALL CHINA FOR EXTRA PRODUCT.

APPLE JUICE FROM CHINA?
GIVE ME A F..KING BREAK.....HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THE APPLE GROWERS IN WASHINGTON ALLOW SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN?

AND THEN THERE IS THE HONEY.

NOW WE HAVE TO LOOK AT COLONY COLLAPSE DISORDER AND WONDER....HAVE THE CHINESE UNLEASHED A VIRUS INTO THE UNITED STATES THAT IS DESTROYING OUR BEE POPULATION?

THE PET FOOD PROBLEM IS AN EXTREME SITUATION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BUT SINCE I DON'T OWN A PET, I DON'T REALLY CARE.
BUT THOSE WHO HAVE PETS SHOULD CHECK THE ORIGIN OF THEIR PET FOOD BEFORE FEEDING FIDO OR SCARLET THE KITTY.

DOES ANYONE THINK CHINA CARES ABOUT THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF OUR PETS?

THEY REGULATE THE BIRTH OF HUMAN BEINGS....SO JUST IMAGINE HOW FAR DOWN THE LIST A PET MIGHT BE.....ON THEIR CONCERN METER.

THE LATEST BULLS..T CENTERS ON CHINA TRYING TO CONTROL THE UNITED NATIONS CLIMATE REPORT.

WITHIN A FEW YEARS CHINA WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEVELS OF POLLUTION THAT WILL DWARF ANYTHING EVER PRODUCED BY THE UNITED STATES. AS WE MOVE TO CONTROL OUR GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS, CHINA KEEPS INCREASING THEIR USE....BY NUMBERS THAT WILL EASILY OFFSET ANY GAINS WE'VE MADE.

AND WE KEEP BUYING THINGS FROM THEM AT A PACE BEYOND BELIEF.

WE ARE BUILDING CHINA AND NOBODY SEEMS TO REALLY CARE.

and I was under the impression that we don't like communists countries....but obviously I was mistaken.

IT APPEARS THAT WE JUST DON'T LIKE CERTAIN COMMUNISTS COUNTRIES.

AND SPEAKING OF RUSSIA.....WHY DON'T THEY START TRYING TO COMPETE WITH CHINA FOR THE ALMIGHTY UNITED STATES DOLLAR? THE LABOR COSTS IN RUSSIA CAN'T BE THAT HIGH.....AND THEY MUST HAVE CAPABILITIES OF GROWING THINGS LIKE GARLIC, CANNED MUSHROOMS, APPLE JUICE, SAUSAGE CASINGS(?) AND HONEY.

And I was under the impression that Russia was trying to establish a democratic system and it seems that the only thing the world is buying from them is the
AK-47. I READ A REPORT THE OTHER DAY THAT THERE ARE 100 MILLION AK-47'S DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

THIS IS THE WEAPON OF CHOICE FOR THE WARLORDS IN AFRICA....WHICH MEANS THAT THOUSANDS OF PISSED OFF TEENAGE BOYS ARE EQUIP ED WITH AK-47'S.

SOMEHOW THE UNITED STATES HAS TO EXPLAIN TO RUSSIA THAT WE WILL BUY ALL THEIR GARLIC, APPLE JUICE, CANNED MUSHROOMS, SAUSAGE CASINGS(?) AND HONEY.....IF THEY SIMPLY STOP SELLING AK-47'S.

I AM SURE THAT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE GIVE RUSSIA IS A LARGE NUMBER.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH IT BESIDES DEVELOPING OIL EXPLORATION?

WHY AREN'T THEY BUILDING SHOE AND SOCK FACTORIES? WHY AREN'T THEY GROWING HUGE AMOUNTS OF GARLIC? WHY DON'T THEY DEVELOP A BEE EMPIRE?

ALL I KNOW IS THAT WE ARE HELPING CHINA BUILD THEIR INFRASTRUTURE....WHICH INCLUDES MILITARY SPENDING.....AND THE ONLY THING WE ARE DOING FOR RUSSIA IS SUPPORTING THE DVD RELEASE OF BORAT.
