CBS is FAKE NEWS??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Last week our(fact not desire) President referred to CBS as fake news while belittling one of their reporters during his daily campaign "briefing."

At the time he said it I just assumed there would be a backlash from both CBS and other media outlets, so I made no comment here or on my FB page.

It's been about 10 days since he used the fake news term referring to CBS and I have only heard a small smattering of protests from established media outlets.

We all know that using the term fake news is one of DJT's favorite expressions and he throws it around quite  freely when he wants to deflect a question or a story that questions his authority or a statement he made previously.

So what are the chances of Donald J. Trump waking up on a Sunday morning and watching the CBS show Sunday Morning?
How about when he was younger and the show was hosted by creator Charles Kuralt  and then later by Charles Osgood? 
Not only is it the most entertaining presentation of current events but it covers a cross section of American personalities and companies like no other show.

There's no way our current President has ever watched that show.

The theme music of the show makes waking up early on Sunday not only worthwhile but gets the day started with responsible knowledge, genuine laughter and of course, some nice soft tears.

Then in the evening did he not turn on 20/20 and watch the best investigative reporters in the business present us with stories and interviews with the most important minds on the planet?

Has he never heard of Edward R. Murrow or Walter Cronkite?

I know he doesn't watch Face the Nation but he probably has an intern checking it out so he can ridicule something said on the show.

IF CBS IS FAKE NEWS THEN THERE IS NO REAL NEWS....and everything is make believe.

Another Conspiracy or ??????? Part one

It's not often that I mention my ex-wife on the Mind Jazz platform but since she is the most avid conspiracy theorist that I know I might as well give her full credit for introducing THIS relatively new theory.

I learned somethings and after talking to other normal (non-conspiracy type humans) people I realized that what I'm about to tell you doesn't appear to be common knowledge.  So far I've talked to 15 friends (none in person because of C19) and none of them know about the.......

Last week when she mentioned these games I laughed and said something like..."why would the military hold war games with 100 nations."   She told me to look it up and now I'll ask you one simple question....

Did you know that from the 18th to the 27th of October there was a Military World Games held in WUHAN, China with 10,000 participants from over a 100 countries?

Basically it's like an Olympics for people associated with the military.

Now for the weird part of the story......FROM MY PERSPECTIVE....even though the further you read about the games and said conspiracy theories you will find much weirder stuff.

The weirdest part of the story is that China won 239 medals with 131 of them being GOLD.

The UNITED STATES WON 8 MEDALS......NO GOLD.

So I'm thinking that either our military has no athletes or the 172 people we sent were all from the Viet-Nam era.

Now back to the reason my ex knows about these games.....By the way when you spend all day watching Fox News and following people like Alex Jones YOU (her in particular) will have knowledge of EVERY conspiracy theory on the planet. (I'm not sure she follows Alex Jones but most conspiracy buffs do, so I took some liberty assuming that it might be true)

When one starts creating conspiracy theories about conspiracy theorists than whose to say what the limits are to exaggerating and stretching and shaping a reality that doesn't really resemble reality.

I've been remiss in my posting because I don't want to pass anything along that might seem unhealthy....but what the hell

I've gone into the freezer selling business and currently have 3600 freezers in a warehouse outside of Billings, Montana.  They range in sizes from 1 cubic inch (for really small items) to 64 hundred cubic feet if you need to store 10,000 pounds of coffee.

The other thing I'm doing is creating Fake ID's for Seniors.  They range in age from 48 to 59 depending on old you look.  This was a friends idea but he doesn't like me to mentioned his name so let's just call him The Other Me.

I've bought up all the Chocolate Ice Cream within a 20 mile radius.....you can get Vanilla and Strawberry from the Trump family.  They store it at their golf course resorts.

I've watched the Sound of Music 39 times in the last week....and still can't get enough of it.
Every so often I'll watch King Creole just to break up the melodies.

I'm in the first wave of Baby Boomers having been born in Feb of 1946.  So if you were born between Jan 1 and Feb 11 1946 you are a little bit more of a boomer than me.  I was also the youngest person in my high school graduation class and that seemed to piss everyone off at my 20th high school reunion so I never went to another one.  There were 90 in my class and if I were to guess I'd say there might be 60 left.

Of course I'm an optimist by nature even though I've been challenged in the arena quite a few times.

I have to admit that if it wasn't for prayer (my own actual prayer) I might not have made it this far.

This new social threat to my optimism is reaching deep down into my belief system in order to weaken my mental immune levels.....and then combine that with watching our President try to speak intellectually on the crisis almost completely destroys years of positive spiritual building blocks.

I'm so grateful that I've been interested in  Quantum Physics over the last ten years because it shows time and time again that we truly don't have all the answers and sometimes it's really important to just let LIFE happen.

It's important to be cautious but it's also important to not let information affect your inner well being.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN INNER WELL-BEING THAN THERE'S GOING TO BE A PROBLEM WITH GETTING THROUGH ANY CRISIS.....especially a crisis that you can't see, hear, smell or feel coming.

Might be the best compliment I've ever received....except for the time at the Grateful Dead/Who Concert in 1976 at the Oakland Coliseum when a younger friend told me that I was a better dancer than Mick Jagger.

Dancing has been such an important part of my life and yet probably 80% of the people I know have no idea of those dance moments that still linger in my frontal lobe.

But there's 10% of you out there that know what I'm talking about.  The other 10% probably didn't like my dancing moments because it embarrassed them.

The dancing moments that my friend Mike McGiffin and I had while attending trade shows in the Furniture Industry verge on legendary.

But whenever I talk about dancing I have to mention Bobby Eyer.  The best natural dancer I ever saw who wasn't paid to dance.  His calm rhythmic style really helped me become a better dancer.  I wish his son and daughter could have seen him in his shining moments.  The fact that he was also a great athlete made his dancing all that much more alluring.

I've really gotten off point but of course
that's

to
do.

This seems like a great time for reflection
and remembering those people we loved
along with the people we love now
can't 
be

bad
thing.

We need to tell each other stories

Never in my life have I waited to vote....and I've voted in every President election since Lincoln.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to remove local polling stations and move to a single public location like the local library is

Absentee ballots are ok if you like to vote that way.  If you didn't mark your previous ballot then you didn't even receive an absentee ballot so you are required, on voting day, to go stand in line for 2 to 3 hours.  Even as the polls closed there were hundreds of people waiting to vote at the Santa Monica Public library.

Obviously THEY want US (the people who like to go to local polling stations) to vote THEIR way.....and unless they fix this problem before November I guess I'll be voting early for the first time in my life.

By the way Jeff just bought the David Geffen estate in 90210 area code for $165 million. Mr. Geffen appears to be unloading property both in town and along the coast in Malibu.

I wonder how Bernie Sanders feels when he reads these stories.  We know he isn't getting any of Larry's money but David is probably a big supporter.  Of course I'm sure that David has given Pete a substantial amount.

It's almost March and there's no clear opponent for "President Biff" in November....who by the way has raised a huge amount of money for his reelection.  IN fact he's in LA right now and it cost $250,000 to have dinner with him.  What would be funny is to find out that Big Macs were on the menu.

Republicans I know are very confident that DJT will be reelected and that makes me throw up in my mouth.

Amy and Pete have managed to perk interest in who they are even though we really don't know anything about them. I had a buddy tell me the other day that Pete was married so how could he be gay.   I reminded him that same sex marriages was an actual thing nowadays and he just laughed and walked away.

I'm starting to wonder if anyone is actually paying attention.

Slipping over to another topic:

Baseball is being talked about at a level never seen in spring training.
Las Vegas has a bet on the board.....83 1/2 on over/under on how many Astro's will be hit by pitches this year.

I suspect we see some physical altercations before the All-Star game.

It seems that nothing has been handled correctly in this situation....especially the remorse part on the Astro side of the coin. 

I'm also wondering why the Astro's are the only team that utilized the trash can  and buzzer methods of cheating.   There's only 800 players in the Majors and I'm pretty sure someone told someone who told someone about how this could be done.

Amazing that only one team actually did it.

I'm just happy that baseball season is getting ready to start....and maybe we can stop talking about how disappointing the Dodgers were last year after winning 106 games.

As I have often stated I am an artist with an extreme interest in how the Universe operates and that generally leads me to the world of physics and quantum mechanics which in turn points me toward explanations that include string theory and of course the Grand Unified Theory….or Theory of Everything.

2006-2019

13 years ago tomorrow I started Mind Jazz and in that first 7 days  I posted 22 times.  If you refer to the archives on the right side, below my favorite sites, you will see at the very bottom that there were 22 entries. I highly suggest, if you want a broad brush exposure, going back in that first couple of years and randomly select articles to read.

Some of those entries were things I had written before I started blogging and some were regarding my other projects such as Neo-Illumination and my artwork.

One of the postings was a song (Are You?) I had written and then altered to fit my "Leajewell"script.
I was just reading it again and thought it seemed relevant even though there is no actual non-fantasy person that I am currently directing energy toward.

It just seems relevant because I dig the idea of falling in love even though it is highly unlikely that IT will happen again in my lifetime.  Of course I'm the guy who thought McGovern would beat Nixon so I am capable of being surprised.

The lyrics to that song are below.....the melody to that song is on some tape stuffed in some box somewhere in my various boxes stuffed with stuff.

40 years ago I would refer to my writing as "stuff" and it still seems like the right term.

The Donald and Greta

I don't have a twitter account and actually I don't have a cell phone anymore so therefore I'm so out of touch with reality that anything I say can't be taken seriously...but of course the final opinion rests with you.

I gave up the cell phone experience a few years ago in an effort to show my daughter that one can live without it.

It didn't work. She's still addicted.

But what did work is that I can live without it and things seem much more quiet when I'm away from home.

At home I have my computer, TV and two land lines, a daughter and a 33 month old granddaughter, an ex-wife (no fooling and no fooling around...just her taking over the sofa and helping to raise our granddaughter) so my quiet time is in my bedroom reading, writing and doing my artwork before falling asleep.

The cell phone is an intrusion but it contains apps.

Thus I have no app experience and in that arena I'm probably very much out of touch.

I read two newspapers every day.... so yesterday's news is covered.  Of course one of the papers I read is the LA TIMES (the other being a local Santa Monica one) and I've heard rumors that it's a liberal paper but I have no idea what that means.

People that watch Fox News tell me that the LA TIMES is a joke.

AND THAT IS A REALLY GOOD JOKE....but of course those people don't get that joke so we go around and around and around and so on and so forth.

The reason I brought up twitter (I guess it should be caps, right?) is because I saw a story on line this am that said President "Biff" was ridiculing Greta Thunberg on his Twitter account where apparently he has 60 million followers.

The fact The Donald has 60 million followers doesn't surprise me because 62 million people voted for The Liar.

By the way, FIRE the LIAR 100% cotton t-shirts will be available as soon as Dems have their candidate.

What does surprise me is that 60 million people have Twitter accounts.  Of course that makes no sense because in reality there must be one or two billion people on Twitter for there to be 60 million following that creepy guy in The White House.

I guess it's important to find out who has the most followers on Twitter.......time out while I do the research.

I'm back......didn't seem very long did it?

I'm hoping that Greta gets recruited by the Democratic candidate to attend every major campaign speech during the months of September and October....and she absolutely must attend the Democratic National Convention in July.

Oh, and one last little thought....if you don't know about Greta than Paul Dirac's equation from 1928 will really spin your noodle.

Now it is less than a year

November 3 2020 is now less than one year away and at this present moment there is no clear opponent for "President Biff".........

The most amazing thing I've heard so far is when "Biff" stated that if he lost the election there would be rioting in the streets....also implying that the government would be overthrown.

HUH??????

My guess is that if he is far behind in the polls come August, he will dump Pence and choose a woman as his running mate......especially if the other side consists of Joe and Lizzy.

As I stated a few months ago I won't be offering my FIRE the LIAR T-SHIRT until after the democratic ticket has been finalized.

In the meantime the holidays are approaching and once more I'm simply amazed at how early the retailers are unveiling their Christmas wares.

Isla and no World Series

My granddaughter is 31 months old and this is her first world series that hasn't included the Dodgers.

Last year she sat next to me and watched the longest game in World Series history, which turned out to be the only game the Dodgers won.

I couldn't get her interested in this year's first game because there were no players in blue.

She doesn't understand why it can't be the Dodgers every year.

I told her to call her friends in Washington D.C. and see how they feel.

The 2019 Baseball season is almost over.

I'm obviously rooting for the team that beat the Dodgers.....and I'm a National League dude.

Houston seems awfully tough but the pitching staff for the Nationals has "something" going on and the Soto kid appears to destined for super stardom.

I'm trying to pay attention but I keep thinking about Joe Kelly pitching the 10th inning with Baez, May and Jansen in the bullpen.

IT STILL MAKES NO SENSE LETTING THAT GUY PITCH TWO INNINGS IN THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON AFTER HAVING A VERY UNPRODUCTIVE REGULAR SEASON.

I hope I don't find out that Dave Roberts and Joe Kelly have an condo in West Hollywood.
