Whoever thought it was a good idea to remove local polling stations and move to a single public location like the local library is

Absentee ballots are ok if you like to vote that way. If you didn't mark your previous ballot then you didn't even receive an absentee ballot so you are required, on voting day, to go stand in line for 2 to 3 hours. Even as the polls closed there were hundreds of people waiting to vote at the Santa Monica Public library.
Obviously THEY want US (the people who like to go to local polling stations) to vote THEIR way.....and unless they fix this problem before November I guess I'll be voting early for the first time in my life.

Bloomberg is in and Larry and Donald are buddies and it appears Joe and Liz are toast
Ok....Mike Bloomberg made the latest debate and it only cost him around 400 million dollars.
Donald countered with having a golf outing and fundraiser with the third richest guy on the planet, Larry Ellison who is NOT friends with Jeff Bezos, who is the richest guy on earth.
We don't know about those Saudi dudes because they aren't telling.
By the way Jeff just bought the David Geffen estate in 90210 area code for $165 million. Mr. Geffen appears to be unloading property both in town and along the coast in Malibu.
I wonder how Bernie Sanders feels when he reads these stories. We know he isn't getting any of Larry's money but David is probably a big supporter. Of course I'm sure that David has given Pete a substantial amount.
It's almost March and there's no clear opponent for "President Biff" in November....who by the way has raised a huge amount of money for his reelection. IN fact he's in LA right now and it cost $250,000 to have dinner with him. What would be funny is to find out that Big Macs were on the menu.
Republicans I know are very confident that DJT will be reelected and that makes me throw up in my mouth.

Trying to explain what happen to Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren is like to trying to explain what happen to Brittany Spears. Everything seemed perfect and then suddenly it's not. I know Brittany had some personal issues so she has excuses. There's no rhyme or reason for Joe and Elizabeth to become irrelevant but they have. Joe's problem just might an age thing and Liz just doesn't seem to garner loyalty.
Amy and Pete have managed to perk interest in who they are even though we really don't know anything about them. I had a buddy tell me the other day that Pete was married so how could he be gay. I reminded him that same sex marriages was an actual thing nowadays and he just laughed and walked away.
I'm starting to wonder if anyone is actually paying attention.
Slipping over to another topic:
Baseball is being talked about at a level never seen in spring training.
Las Vegas has a bet on the board.....83 1/2 on over/under on how many Astro's will be hit by pitches this year.
I suspect we see some physical altercations before the All-Star game.
It seems that nothing has been handled correctly in this situation....especially the remorse part on the Astro side of the coin.
I'm also wondering why the Astro's are the only team that utilized the trash can and buzzer methods of cheating. There's only 800 players in the Majors and I'm pretty sure someone told someone who told someone about how this could be done.
Amazing that only one team actually did it.
I'm just happy that baseball season is getting ready to start....and maybe we can stop talking about how disappointing the Dodgers were last year after winning 106 games.

2020 vision for America
It seems that our western time reference has arrived at a visionary year.
HOPEFULLY
Of course the Chinese and Jews have a different timetable
and all three time references
are
really
out
of
date.
I realize it's not easy to write a day followed by a year with 14 billion zero's but in reality the Universe that we are currently occupying started a really long time ago.
Humans always like to think we set the rules and that is true when referring to socialized order and behavior. But in truth there is a bigger picture with a much larger date attached.
Does your ego allow acceptance of that reality or are you "let's make it simple stupid" kind of person?
I'm in that category because I'm using 2020 as a plea for increasing the vision of America.
Since 2016 there has been of sense of embarrassment
and I'm pretty sure that it should

The process of writing a love song, a love story, a love letter or a poem about love really does enter the realm of illusionary triangulation.
One knows what one knows
One hopes for what one hopes for
And then everything in between controls the reality
We can attempt to understand why something might not be happening and yet there is that place that lives inside our minds that really lets us know that we don’t really have a clue.
And that maybe we aren’t suppose to know
Which really pisses me off
It’s one thing if I can’t find the answers to questions that determine my state of being, it’s another thing if I’m not suppose to play inside that type of dream.
That is where the Universal joke starts to take shape and somehow dominates my time…..and always leaves me wondering with something I can’t rhyme.
Why should I care
if the games not fair
I’m not the one who set the rules
Can’t I just ignore the facts and simply laugh
Just like other fools
Does something need to happen when searching for a truth? Does a lighting bolt of insight need to strike me through my roof? Does an inspirational moment need to break inside my mind? And does it really matter if you get drunk on beer or wine? Has anything ever taken the place of love since the dawning of mankind? And of course has anyone ever seen inside my twisted little mind?
I share things that get put down on solid molecular matter, but does it matter?

13 years ago tomorrow I started Mind Jazz and in that first 7 days I posted 22 times. If you refer to the archives on the right side, below my favorite sites, you will see at the very bottom that there were 22 entries. I highly suggest, if you want a broad brush exposure, going back in that first couple of years and randomly select articles to read.
Some of those entries were things I had written before I started blogging and some were regarding my other projects such as Neo-Illumination and my artwork.
One of the postings was a song (Are You?) I had written and then altered to fit my "Leajewell"script.
I was just reading it again and thought it seemed relevant even though there is no actual non-fantasy person that I am currently directing energy toward.
It just seems relevant because I dig the idea of falling in love even though it is highly unlikely that IT will happen again in my lifetime. Of course I'm the guy who thought McGovern would beat Nixon so I am capable of being surprised.
The lyrics to that song are below.....the melody to that song is on some tape stuffed in some box somewhere in my various boxes stuffed with stuff.
40 years ago I would refer to my writing as "stuff" and it still seems like the right term.

The Donald and Greta
I don't have a twitter account and actually I don't have a cell phone anymore so therefore I'm so out of touch with reality that anything I say can't be taken seriously...but of course the final opinion rests with you.
I gave up the cell phone experience a few years ago in an effort to show my daughter that one can live without it.
It didn't work. She's still addicted.
But what did work is that I can live without it and things seem much more quiet when I'm away from home.
At home I have my computer, TV and two land lines, a daughter and a 33 month old granddaughter, an ex-wife (no fooling and no fooling around...just her taking over the sofa and helping to raise our granddaughter) so my quiet time is in my bedroom reading, writing and doing my artwork before falling asleep.
The cell phone is an intrusion but it contains apps.
Thus I have no app experience and in that arena I'm probably very much out of touch.
I read two newspapers every day.... so yesterday's news is covered. Of course one of the papers I read is the LA TIMES (the other being a local Santa Monica one) and I've heard rumors that it's a liberal paper but I have no idea what that means.
People that watch Fox News tell me that the LA TIMES is a joke.
AND THAT IS A REALLY GOOD JOKE....but of course those people don't get that joke so we go around and around and around and so on and so forth.
The reason I brought up twitter (I guess it should be caps, right?) is because I saw a story on line this am that said President "Biff" was ridiculing Greta Thunberg on his Twitter account where apparently he has 60 million followers.
The fact The Donald has 60 million followers doesn't surprise me because 62 million people voted for The Liar.
By the way, FIRE the LIAR 100% cotton t-shirts will be available as soon as Dems have their candidate.
What does surprise me is that 60 million people have Twitter accounts. Of course that makes no sense because in reality there must be one or two billion people on Twitter for there to be 60 million following that creepy guy in The White House.
I guess it's important to find out who has the most followers on Twitter.......time out while I do the research.

Now it is less than a year
November 3 2020 is now less than one year away and at this present moment there is no clear opponent for "President Biff".........

The most amazing thing I've heard so far is when "Biff" stated that if he lost the election there would be rioting in the streets....also implying that the government would be overthrown.

My guess is that if he is far behind in the polls come August, he will dump Pence and choose a woman as his running mate......especially if the other side consists of Joe and Lizzy.
As I stated a few months ago I won't be offering my FIRE the LIAR T-SHIRT until after the democratic ticket has been finalized.

In the meantime the holidays are approaching and once more I'm simply amazed at how early the retailers are unveiling their Christmas wares.

Isla and no World Series
My granddaughter is 31 months old and this is her first world series that hasn't included the Dodgers.
Last year she sat next to me and watched the longest game in World Series history, which turned out to be the only game the Dodgers won.
I couldn't get her interested in this year's first game because there were no players in blue.
She doesn't understand why it can't be the Dodgers every year.
I told her to call her friends in Washington D.C. and see how they feel.
The 2019 Baseball season is almost over.
I'm obviously rooting for the team that beat the Dodgers.....and I'm a National League dude.
Houston seems awfully tough but the pitching staff for the Nationals has "something" going on and the Soto kid appears to destined for super stardom.
I'm trying to pay attention but I keep thinking about Joe Kelly pitching the 10th inning with Baez, May and Jansen in the bullpen.
IT STILL MAKES NO SENSE LETTING THAT GUY PITCH TWO INNINGS IN THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME OF THE SEASON AFTER HAVING A VERY UNPRODUCTIVE REGULAR SEASON.
I hope I don't find out that Dave Roberts and Joe Kelly have an condo in West Hollywood.

Baseball and a lifetime memory
Dear Sean,
I'm pretty sure we attended Dodger games after the opening day of the 1988 World Series but for obvious reasons that game will always have a unique place in my memory bank and of course....my heart.
I'm pretty sure we attended Dodger games after the opening day of the 1988 World Series but for obvious reasons that game will always have a unique place in my memory bank and of course....my heart.
You had just completed your first year in the Majors of Santa Monica Little League and as a 10 year old you held your own and displayed your talents against 11 and 12 year olds. The Dodgers had returned to the World Series for the first time since winning the whole thing in 1981. We were very fortunate to be given two seats in the last row of the right field pavilion. It would turn out that the right field pavilion would be immortalized every time video's would replay the infamous Kirk Gibson home run. I've watched the replay at least a few hundred times since 1988 and every time I know that you and I are jumping up and down and high-fiving each other and everyone around us. It was an epic moment for baseball and continues to be regarded as one of the greatest moments in World Series history. Of course it becomes a moment in our history that will never be extinguished....along with every moment we shared in the 15 years 10 months and 3 days of your physical reality.
You wrote a paper for your English class as a freshman at Loyola entitled "It's never over until the 54th out" and I didn't actually discover the paper until sometime later in the summer of 1994.....which turns out to be the year that no World Series was played because of a contract squabble between owners and players. The fact that the baseball season was shortened and no World Series played made perfect sense to me after what had happened on February 3rd 1994. To be honest I hadn't even followed baseball that year for the first time since I was 12 years old. Life was testing me in areas that had very little to do with sociological distractions, such as sports and politics.
I was very busy learning about non-physical reality and trying to understand why the Universe had decided to attack the very core of my existence.
I've created many various artistic and literary answers, whether or not they are valid is entirely up to the audience, and I am somewhat content to report that many of those answers make sense and allow me to continue believing in a Universe that is dominated by love and particle expansion while at the same time displaying an abundant amount of chaos and decay.
But for this letter I want to remember the shirt incident as we arrived for the first game of the 1988 World Series. (If you save the picture and then zoom in you can read what Sean's shirt says. Sean is the only one standing in the above picture)
As we drove up the road to go into the stadium there was a guy hawking tye-dyed tee-shirts that said....Fuck Oakland on the front. The price $10. We went into the parking lot and as we got out of the car you said, "Dad, I really want one of those shirts." My answer was, "I'm not about to drive all way back there" and you said, "give me the 10 and I'll run and be back in a flash." Since you were an extremely fast young man it seems like you did it in record time. I don't remember waiting very long for you to return. You waited until we got to our seats before you put the shirt on and to this day I'm not sure if you wore it throughout the entire game or not. All I know is the Dodgers fucked Oakland big time in that game and throughout the series that only lasted five games.
Coaching you and watching you play baseball over the next five years is easily one of the great memories of my life. It's a memory that is only tarnished by the fact that we can't physically chat about not only those moments but all the other moments we shared as Father and Son.
Watching you develop your baseball IQ was really enjoyable for me and to be honest I was usually coaching the team but you as an individual were the glue that held the team together.
I realize how talented you were as an artist and as a writer but I always understood that those two things would simply improve as you got older. I didn't know how far you could go in the baseball world because no one can predict the outcome of a 12, 13, 14 or 15 year old baseball player unless they have names like Bryce Harper and Clayton Kershaw. Most of the 750 players in the major leagues
get there through extreme hard work and predicting how much work an 18 year old wants to spend to improving their baseball skills is almost impossible.
But you were a natural and your motion was always correct and you never really tried that hard because the talent was just there. I think you were starting to realize what it might take but of course the Universe had another plan.
And since the mysteries of the Universe will always far out number the known realities I'm not unsure that you aren't appearing in this World Series as some explosive 23 year old stud.
It would make sense on so many levels....and I defy anyone to prove that reincarnation isn't a reality.
My awareness of physical reality and my belief in non-physical reality allow me to view the first Dodger World Series experience in 29 years in a
new
and
exciting
way
IT'S A QUANTUM EXPERIENCE AND I'M DIGGING EVERY SINGLE MOMENT
and every baseball game I've watched since your first year in T-Ball at the age of six has included thoughts of you
I'm just

overwhelmed
by
the love
I have for the game of baseball

that

Once more we visit the cost of Nuclear experimentation
There is a RUMOR that The Trump administration has hinted at changing the classification of waste water at the Hanford site in Washington....from high-level radioactive to low-level.
THE REASON FOR THIS WOULD BE
TO CUT COSTS.
LOWER CLASSIFICATION MEANS LOWER STANDARDS AND THEREFORE NOT AS MUCH MONEY NEEDS TO BE SPENT ON THE CLEAN-UP.
Let's just look at some of those numbers.
The Energy Department estimates that it will cost
$330 BILLION to $677 BILLION
to FINISH
the clean-up at
HANFORD
THEY have already spent $48 BILLION.
THAT IS ONE SITE
This map shows sites where spent Nuclear waste is stored.
This map shows where clean-up is needed......
And then there's this disaster from Japan.......
There's a reason that this stuff never gets brought up at Presidential Press Conferences

THERE IS NO ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!
so i THINK the press and the government have reached an agreement......no questions about Nuclear Waste Clean-up.
Before you leave this story take one more look at the map from Japan......check out the Western United States and tell me that Japan isn't paying us back for 1945.
The only point I am making here is that when someone tells you Nuclear Energy
is the cleanest and cheapest form of ENERGY,,,,,,,,,JUST ASK THEM IF THEY INCLUDED ALL COST in determining the price.

California keeps fighting The Liar
When President "Biff" or President "Twit" signed the order to ease Chlorpyrifos regulations in 2017 it was one of his first attacks on environmental issues. The photo above is with former Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris.
California has fought the Trump administration on health care, climate issues, auto emissions and now pesticides.
The fact that a debate continues regarding the harm of any pesticide makes no sense.

The real problem seems to be a consensus from the current administration regarding anything that involves
SCIENCE.....
AND THAT SCARES THE F**K out of me.......of course those who know me well realize I have very little f**k in me so it's probably not a really big deal for me to be scared in this area.
I've chosen the monk life for quite awhile now and it seems to suit me artistically but of course I'm still looking to fall in love again but I've gone beyond being picky and have entered into the realm of "who are you kidding dude?" I'm still waiting for Reese to break up with her current husband. There are a few others on the list but why exaggerate the fantasy issue any further. Fantasy is fantasy and stories always seem to evolve from that domain.
Speaking of stories....yesterday I slipped an old cassette into my car system (yeah it's an older ride) and discovered a verbal rendition of a script that I started in 1995. I'm pretty sure it's a love story because it begins with a break up in a restaurant. It might be a murder mystery but I doubt it. I'll go ride in my car a little bit this afternoon and hear more of the story but the weird part is I DON'T REMEMBER DOING IT.
Now that might seem of little importance to you but it's a wow in my world because whenever I verbally created a story I would always sit down and transcribe it to paper........and I have four finished scripts to verify that reality.
There was also a song I created right before the story started. I actually sang the first stanza about 15 times while tweaking the words and the pauses and the genre. It goes from soft rock to country and on to a blues riff before returning to soft rock.
I'd like to share the song with you but creating an MP3 version with my equipment just ain't going to happen. I might be able to record on my cell phone.....oh wait, I don't have a cell phone.
Just stop on digest that one for a sec. Two years ago I put it in a drawer and two years later i'm still cell phone free.
My daughter's cell phone addiction makes up for my lack of involvement in that arena of communication.
There will be CELLPHONE Anonymous meetings soon.....I GUARANTEE IT.
THE PROBLEM IS MULTI-DIMENSIONAL.
People walking and texting without regard for traffic.
People walking and viewing their phone while ignoring their children.
People using their cell phones to communicate with others while actual people are present.
THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON and on and on and on......
.....just like the list of "President Twit" attempting to reverse any clean air or clean water act put into work since 1972.
BUSINESS IS GOD

Mueller and "why don't you do it by differentiating under the integral sign?"
My first suggestion would be to have side by side screens watching CNN and FOX at the same time.
Flipping back and forth during and directly after Mr. Mueller's testimony completely clarifies the situation.
ONE side hears one thing.
The OTHER side hears something else.
And depending on who you watch and who you read YOUR MIND IS MADE UP.
TRUMP, and or his people, collaborated with the Russians
The Democrats, and Hillary and or President Obama, completely started conspiring
with the Russians long before Trump.
All the indictments handed down to Trump's people (Cohen, Manafort etc) had noting to do with the original reason for the investigation by the Mueller team.
The Mueller team consisted of all Democrats that wanted to bring Trump to his knees.
Mr. Mueller didn't actually do anything and didn't read his own report.
President Trump was not exonerated by the Mueller report.
The testimony given by Mueller proves that the Democrats have wasted taxpayers money.

I felt sorry for the dude and saw very early on that he would much rather be sitting on the beautiful veranda porch at his estate with a Manhattan and a bong....and his Golden Retriever
sleeping at his feet.
One thing was obvious.....the questions from either side had diverse personalities and skin color.
One side were light skinned aggressive males
The other side looked like the Rainbow coalition
By the way I picked the report up at the Amazon book store ( which just blows my mind) and looked through it before putting in back on the shelf.
The redacted parts of the report stood out enough to make me pass.
And anyway I'm currently reading

And if you really want to have fun reading a book please pick it up and see how the MOST interesting Physicists of our time recalled his life.
Richard Feynman, born in 1918, won the Nobel Prize in Physics and died the last year the Dodgers won a World Series...which was 1988.

Richard Feynman, born in 1918, won the Nobel Prize in Physics and died the last year the Dodgers won a World Series...which was 1988.
One of the paintings in my The Other God Particles show....is called the Feynman Diagram.
Now I'm pretty sure the phrase, the MOST interesting Physicists of our time, isn't going to make you rush out and find the book....but of course you can just go on line and order it through that place that put book stores out of business and now has book stores of their own.

In Santa Monica we used to have multiple great book stores and now we have one and
it's tiny......
.......smaller than a neutrino....which of course is an exaggeration to the 100th power squared twice and

243, Baseball and how it never goes away
Today is America's 243 Birthday and 1976 doesn't seem that long ago but it has been 43 years since we celebrated our bicentennial.
In November of that year we elected Jimmy Carter President.
President Carter's legacy will be formed by what he's done after holding that office for four years.
In 7 years we will celebrate a 250th national birthday and the year will be 2026.
There's no sugar coating it......I will be 80 and the only question I can ask myself is....
will I be here to celebrate?
It's not a morbid question due to the fact that once you reach a certain age (I suspect that age is 70) then mortality becomes a reality and them's the facts folks.
I'm looking forward to the 2028 Olympics here in Los Angeles so there's a part of me that has to believe I'll still be slicing the golf ball a few times each round.
I'm also extremely looking forward to the 2024 Presidential election because I know Donald Trump won't be running.
The sad part of that statement is me resolving to a certain reality that I didn't think possible.
In that statement I'm accepting the simple fact that President "Twit" could actually win in 2020.
As I watch the Democrats go about attacking each other and giving the "Twit" more ammunition with which to attack whoever is left......I realize that his ability to degrade other people might be some of the best degrading I've ever witnessed in politics.
That's a problem when your base likes that style of campaigning.
He might be the biggest asshole who's ever run for President....and we live in a time when assholes seem to be an acceptable part of our national psyche....and they also seem to be rather abundant.
Combine Donald Trump with Mitch McConnell and you might have an adult Chucky.

Baseball came into national prominence this week ( keep in mind that not everybody follows baseball....which I know seems really silly, but it's true) not because of something that happen on the field but because a 27 year athlete mysteriously died in his hotel room.
Tyler Skaggs was a Santa Monica legendary baseball player who was currently employed by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (I think that's the actual name).
The Angels have a history of players passing away in their prime of life. When I say a history I mean I can't think of another team that has had multiple active players pass away.
I knew another baseball player from Santa Monica......
and just as I wrote those words an earthquake rattled a few things in the house....not sure where it was located but I'm still going to finish my thought.
I knew another baseball player from Santa Monica who passed away in 1994 and altered my life forever.
And yes my friends when you lose a teen-age child the trauma and the drama never actually disappears.....especially if you have other children, or grandchildren.
The trauma and the drama I'm referring to centers around the simple fact that you never ever ever ever stop worrying about something horrible happening again.
I read that 16,000 plus teenagers die every year so it is a pretty small fraternity. I obviously can't contact 16,000 parents but I'm pretty sure that any of us with other children go through the same trauma and drama episodes.
It never goes away......but let me explain

Demo debates and crime rates
There seems to be a debate, before the actual debates, about a crime bill championed by Joe Biden in 1994 and whether or not it has been good or bad.

As I stop and contemplate this information I'm pretty sure that having President "Twit" in the White House isn't going to help those numbers reverse.
This stat is alarming in so many many ways......

Tonight and tomorrow night the 20 people running to be the Democratic Presidential candidate in the 2020 election, against THAT GUY, will debate in Miami.
I recall when in 2016 there were 12 GOP candidates in their first debate and the guy with the orange hair was regarded as a publicity stunt. That guy started calling people names and while most of us giggled and laughed.....62 million saw THEIR HERO.
Therefore it is possible that one of the lesser known names might rise up and have to be counted but it seems that
Biden
Warren
Sanders
have the name recognition factor well in hand.
And after typing that last line I've decided to propose a Presidential ticket of
Joe Biden
President
Elizabeth Warren and
Bernie Sanders
as
CO-Vice Presidents.....a new CVP position in the government.
Think how much more a VP could get done if there were two of them.
All it takes is a great idea and a slight change to the Constitution.
How hard could that be?
Ok...maybe I'm getting silly but the debates are starting and the excitement is mounting.
I hope 40 million people tune in and watch...but realistically this is June and the election is 17 months away so 25 million will probably be the number.
The real question is how many Trump supporters will tune in?
I put that number at
78
And that might be high.
Now before I close....please explain why FORCIBLE RAPE is the only crime on the increase in America over the last 35 years?
