During the early 70's (no not the 1870's) there was an assortment of hallucinogenics that would appear and then disappear from the social network....and yes there was always a social network long before media kidnapped the term....and if one happen to be in the right place at the right time one could rest assured that said products were void of any harmful ingredients. Ingredients that were used to cut the product in order to increase the amount of product were often the reasons that "bad trips" would occur....but in the beginning there was only pure light.
A few people, who are reading these words right now, know exactly what I mean when I say that I encountered PURITY on a few occasions during a short period of time, at that time. The name that was given to the pure product I experienced was Mellow Jello. The time frame was somewhere around the winter of 1972 or 1973. Both those years run together in my memory bank due to my weaving and dodging and trying to reconcile that Richard Nixon was actually going to continue with his current position as leader of the free world. During that period of time my writing name was Miles Tyson.
On a personal note it was after my first live in relationship (and yes we still communicate) and before my heart was exposed to an Egyptian/Irish whirling dervish (we are friends on FB) and four years before my one and only marriage, who after being divorced from since 1988 I can't seem to shake no matter what I say or do....which is ok because she is one of my best friends.
I'm going to pause for a second and let anyone who remembers our Mellow Jello experiences to take a deep breath....close your eyes..........and smile.
Unfortunately I have no relationship with the person who brought Mellow Jello into my environment but at the time she was a very beautiful dark haired hypnotic lunatic, who told those of us on Creek Rd in Fairfax, California that the drug had been manufactured by a local chemist, for the specific intention of supplying the Hell's Angels with a tool that would soften their views on how life should be conducted. She said that no one was supposed to have the drug except the Hell's Angels but that since she had a relationship with one the leaders she was able to secure a limited amount of pills.
Obviously she could have been lying through her teeth but since she was so cute her story was bought without the slightest bit of reservations.
For about three months she shared her good fortune and in turn I shared my good fortune and as a result I can tell you without question or qualms, that my experiences with Mellow Jello were by far and away the most exotic drug moments of my life.
I've had many better exotic moments in my life......but only as a result of love.....not drugs.

I do classify it as an hallucinogenic but in truth it wasn't anything like LSD or Mescaline because it didn't have an intense climbup with an more intense climbdown but instead it made everything physical feel magical without stretching the boundaries of personal mental parameters.
My LSD experiences were legendary (within my own realm of course) but my Mellow Jello experiences were magical and memorable and I'll always recall the details....whereas, with acid there would be periods of time that were not memorable but simply moments in which hanging on was the only recourse.
I always came out of the crystal cave but some people I know aren't quite sure that is true.
Of course the dispensing vixen of 1973 disappeared shortly after she arrived and never again did I hear anyone mention the words Mellow Jello or have the slightest idea how to secure the product.
I do know that the Hell's Angels never had a public repeat of their 1969 Altamont incident. I'm sure their members didn't start wearing suits and ties....so maybe Mellow Jello did help calm them down for awhile.....or until the purity of the product was compromised due to expanded distribution.
I've been reading about Molly and it sounds like Mellow Jello and Molly both belong to the same family chemical tree.
I've never tried Ecstacy but when I first heard about it years ago, it sounded like Mellow Jello and then negative reports begin to appear.
Back in the 70's there was a repeated appearance of a drug called MDA....with the common ingredients being SEROTONIN, DOPAMINE and NOREPHINEPHRINE....so I've reached the following conclusion.
I think pure Molly might be the new Mellow Jello.
How interesting would it have been in the 70's to say....."hey, do you want to eat Molly."

BP but no mention of Halliburton
British Petroleum yesterday pleaded guilty to 11 counts of seaman's manslaughter. The amount of money that they will be paying is still being totalled but so far it includes the following recipients.
$7.8 Billion to the Gulf Coast residents and businesses.
$2.4 Billion to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
$350 Million to the National Academy of Sciences
$4 Billion in fines related to the manslaughter charges
and possibly
$17 Billion in fines through the Clean Water Act
The recipients with the word Act and National in their names are government entities and once the cashiers get those funds in the Treasury then one might as well say.....SYLM
SYLM is the explanation when trying to determine how the money gets directed toward the proper parties once it is in the governments ledger.

Simply pause for a second and think back to the national disasters starting with Katrina. So much money was raised through the federal government and private charities, which include star studded fund raisers and various deep pocket philanthropists......and yet I see stories all the time where people in New Orleans are still wondering when the help is going to arrive. I just saw a story about a neighborhood in New York that got creamed by Sandy and unless those poor people are flat out lying it seems that very little funds have gotten to them.
If the government makes financial disaster fund recovery as complicated as I think they might then a very large percentage of the needy people have most likely not been able to fill out the proper paperwork, without a group of lawyers involved, and everyone alive knows that once a group of lawyers gets involved then the only people receiving funds turns out to be the group of lawyers.
THIS IS A 60 MINUTES STORY THAT SHOULD TAKE UP ABOUT TEN SHOWS.....WHICH THEN WOULD BE CALLED THE 600 MINUTES SHOW.
I'd like to see a truck full of cash pull up to one of the affected neighborhoods with a list of residents in one hand and a wad of cash in the other. If you've got proper ID and something with your address on it then you get some folding coin.
I can promise you one thing....all that money shown above that is being paid by BP will be recovered in a very short time period.

I'm trying to locate how much Halliburton needs to pay for making defective cement.
Like I realize this is nit-picking but if defective cement wasn't made then perhaps no accident would have occured and if that's the case then Halliburton, as the contractor, would owe BP a HUGE sum of money. But of course Dick Cheney probably stepped in and............hold it right there.

If I'm realistic, and I've never been accused of such nonsense, then I'd have to agree with you.....but ten years from now (2023) we'll find out that Halliburton is paying former Attorney General Eric Holder a very large consultant fee for the fine work he did in 2010,11 and 12 regarding the Deep Horizon tragedy and Halliburton's part in the disaster.....and then a Wikipedia investigator will discover that those fees have been in place since 2010 thanks to the gay relationship between Eric Holder and Dick Cheney.
Seriously......I don't make this shit up just to be funny. I'm pretty sure this is how things work.
But I will say one thing.
I sure hope to God that I'm fucking wrong.

Stunned and drug rant
I was going to get up this morning and try to clarify some actual numbers that are involved in Climate Change, but then reading the paper I noticed an article in the LA TIMES by Lisa Giron.
"PANEL URGES MORE CONTROL OF VICODIN"
I personally have never taken a Vicodin but am quite aware of others who have and do take the MOST PRESCRIBED DRUG in America.
Hydrocone is the main active ingredient in Vicodin and America consumes 99% of that chemical produced worldwide.
PRESCRIPTION DRUGS, which of course are classified as legal, cause more deaths than Heroin and Cocaine combined. That does not surprise me because it's a numbers game and multi-millions of people take prescription drugs compared to the numbers who shoot Heroin or snort and smoke Cocaine.
Ms. Giron states that prescription drug fatalities have recently surpassed deaths from automobile crashes in the accidental death category. What she doesn't seem to mention is the use of alcohol in combinations with Prescription drugs....once again failing to acknowledge the obvious.....ALCOHOL IS A LEGAL DRUG and the amount of fatal accidents caused by legal drugs has always been higher.
Automobile accidents have been (over the last 60 years) the leading cause of accidental deaths in the United States. How many of those accidents occurred while under the influence of which drug is the big question. We all realize being under the influence of alcohol is at the top of the list. Being under the influence of pot is at the bottom of the list....and even if they made pot legal it would still be at the bottom of the list because it's hard to drive a car while slumped on the couch trying to find the remote.
The Vicodin situation does worry me because I've seen people who don't touch illegal drugs pop two or three Vicodin without blinking. They seem to treat it the same way they do when popping a cork on a nice Napa Cab.
Taking anything that alters central nervous system connections should be done on a very limited basis. The same thing applies when smoking a joint. One HIT is all the body needs to release the chemicals that result in feeling a change of consciouness.
ALCOHOL IS THE MOST ABUSED DRUG ON THE PLANET.....EXCEPT FOR NICOTINE....BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO CONSIDER NICOTINE A DRUG.
IF YOU TAKE A VICODIN AND THEN HAVE A SHOT OF JACK DANIELS AND SMOKE A JOINT WHILE TRYING TO DECIDE WHETHER TO HAVE A CAB OR MERLOT WHILE GETTING READY TO DRIVE YOUR CAR TO THE PARTY......THERE IS A PROBLEM
EVEN IF YOU ELIMINATE THE SMOKING JOINT PORTION OF THE STORY....THERE'S STILL A PROBLEM.
IF YOU TAKE MORE THAN TWO VICODIN IN A WEEK THEN THERE'S STILL A PROBLEM.
Of course those of us from the 60's and 70's simply believe that you should just take a good pure tab of acid and forget all the other bullshit.
Of course you might need the Vicodin if your trip proves too painful.
There are no guarantees to what one may discover
when opening the windows

AND SOMETIMES THE WINDOWS HAVE NEVER BEEN CLEANED SO THEREFORE I'M NOT SANCTIONING THE USE OF LSD but I will speculate on the following theory;
If the people, who are addicted to both legal and illegal drugs. were involved in a well organized psychedelic experience it MIGHT cure their drug problems.
Of course it's just a theory but those people are using drugs because of some problem so why not visit the Elvis of drugs and see what happens.
You do know that LSD was developed with the intention to help treat psychotic behavior?
I think it could help with addictions....so before you take another Vicodin stop by Walgreens and get a tab of Ozzie Clear Light and get ready to............

The response to speech and lip-sync scandal
First off....if Beyonce wasn't singing on Monday then she has fully perfected the art of lip-syncing. If anything was recorded it was the background music which makes perfect sense. But once again a non-issue outweighs the importance of President Obama's speech.
I actually talked to a few people yesterday that needed a WUM from me when I mentioned how important it was for him to talk about Climate Change. Forget the fact that he also mentioned equal pay for women and equal rights for gay men and women. Apparently the gun freaks were also unhappy with his comments even though I don't actually recall him stating that automatic weapons, or any type of gun, should be banned.
So let's get this straight......people who are upset about his speech.......don't believe Climate Change is an issue.....Gay people are second class citizens with personal problems.....women should stay in the kitchen and have AK-47's under the sink.
Multiple Republican leaders basically came out and said.......THE WAR IS ON. Their implication is that the Liberal agenda of President Obama, and his socialist ideology, has created a divide that will not be repaired with an occasional lunch or round of golf.

WHO WON THE FREAKIN ELECTION ASSHOLES?
HE'S TRYING TO HEAL A NATION THAT HAS BEEN DIVIDED BY RIGHT WING COMMENTATORS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS

In the very near future (within 10 years) all rights for gay people will not even be an issue because everybody will simply realize that religion should have no influence on laws involving equality.
In the very near future (hopefully sooner than 10 years) everybody will be discussing Climate Change and the same people that don't believe today will be screaming about why something wasn't done sooner.
In the near future women and men will be paid equally if they have the same job. I find it hard to believe that it isn't already true, but when you think that it hasn't even been a hundred years since women got the right to vote then obviously somethings really goofy in this area. But as more and more women win seats in Congress and appointments to the courts...the quicker balance will be achieved.
In the near future ( Within 20 years) assault weapons will be illegal to own but there will still be millions of them hidden in closets and basements. The government will never do a door to door search and thus those horrible tools of death will forever be a part of our culture. But manufactures of those weapons will not be allowed to exhibit at domestic gun shows and people will have to try sneaking them across the border strapped to illegal aliens.
In the near future ( 5-10 years)any illegal immigrant who can prove they have been working for over five years in the United States can immediately apply for citizenship.
In the very near future (hopefully starting today) renewable energy sources will be regarded as the Holy Grail of energy and no one will claim it's too expensive and fossil fuel companies will start putting millions of dollars into that genre of energy.
SINCE ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE THEN WHY NOT MAKE THEM START HAPPENING
TODAY!
Let's leave the dinosaur thinking behind and move toward a reality that makes sense.
It makes sense because we are in the beginning phases of the next stage of human evolutionary development and millions of people know it and wonder why others can't see or feel it.

So many moments take place everyday that sometimes it's hard to acknowledge a step up in the evolutionary phases of human development. But please note all evolutionary changes have overlaps and sometimes those overlaps can last for hundreds of years.....maybe even thousands.
I'd like to think that Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals are almost completely vanquished but like I said before.....everyday something happens that indicates that not to be true.
Social changes take place after mental changes appear. Mental changes take place after both tragic and beautiful events.
The trick for altering the thought process on Climate Change is simply being aware of both local and global events.

In the near future women and men will be paid equally if they have the same job. I find it hard to believe that it isn't already true, but when you think that it hasn't even been a hundred years since women got the right to vote then obviously somethings really goofy in this area. But as more and more women win seats in Congress and appointments to the courts...the quicker balance will be achieved.
In the near future ( Within 20 years) assault weapons will be illegal to own but there will still be millions of them hidden in closets and basements. The government will never do a door to door search and thus those horrible tools of death will forever be a part of our culture. But manufactures of those weapons will not be allowed to exhibit at domestic gun shows and people will have to try sneaking them across the border strapped to illegal aliens.
In the near future ( 5-10 years)any illegal immigrant who can prove they have been working for over five years in the United States can immediately apply for citizenship.
In the very near future (hopefully starting today) renewable energy sources will be regarded as the Holy Grail of energy and no one will claim it's too expensive and fossil fuel companies will start putting millions of dollars into that genre of energy.
SINCE ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE THEN WHY NOT MAKE THEM START HAPPENING
TODAY!
Let's leave the dinosaur thinking behind and move toward a reality that makes sense.
It makes sense because we are in the beginning phases of the next stage of human evolutionary development and millions of people know it and wonder why others can't see or feel it.
Do you feel it?
So many moments take place everyday that sometimes it's hard to acknowledge a step up in the evolutionary phases of human development. But please note all evolutionary changes have overlaps and sometimes those overlaps can last for hundreds of years.....maybe even thousands.
I'd like to think that Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals are almost completely vanquished but like I said before.....everyday something happens that indicates that not to be true.
Social changes take place after mental changes appear. Mental changes take place after both tragic and beautiful events.
The trick for altering the thought process on Climate Change is simply being aware of both local and global events.
If someone is unaware then they need a big WUM.

More WUM and WUMF
A small groundswell.......which by the way, is a really weird word......has started and when a groundswell starts there's really nothing to do but just hold on and let it rip, or let it flow, or as I've said for years.....let it hap'n cap'n.
In truth, there is a civility to OUR sociological environment (and it's clearly planetary) that must recognize the type of person who prefers not to use swear words....or at the very least, ask those of us who do use swear words....to please not use them around them.

CLIMATE CHANGE

create exceptions to all rules of civility.
In the meantime I've decided to create a softer version for those who truly do deserve a softer wake up call to an obvious serious situation.
WAKE UP MY FRIEND! WUMF
WUMF should be used when addressing Grandparents, small children, clergy (whose heads aren't up their ass), and anyone who you know that just doesn't approve of colorful language.
PLEASE REMEMBER ONE THING....WE ARE USING WUM AND WUMF WHEN TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT

Richard Nixon was burnt toast and somehow that MF wormed his way back into the White House while being a crazy paranoid son of a bitch.
AL GORE appears to actually be a nice guy.
I hope I don't have give him a big WUM to bring him out of the classroom and back into the arena.
I realize that divorcing Tipper doesn't look good on the resume, but maybe he can talk to Kobe and find out what it takes to rebuild a marriage. I realize there's a slight difference between Kobe's wife and Tipper but remember it's all relative and there's no logic when it comes to love. Of course Al might have a new babe and in that case we'll just have to learn to love her.

Feedback on WUM
I've received various opinions on my latest text abbreviation.....WUM.
(please read Sat 1/13 if this is your first Mind Jazz moment)
I think I need to alter it slightly.
WUMF is easier to say than WUM and probably more grammatically correct due to the fact that the word Mother Fucker is actually two words. I don't like adding a fourth letter but sometimes alterations and additions are necessary to achieve balance and harmony.
I personally think Motherfucker is one word but since a very large portion of society doesn't tend to use this word, I'm open to alternate opinions on its existence and usage.
I'll use the different versions over the next few weeks and see what shakes loose.
I think I also need to add a optional abbreviation in order to create some small semblance of courtesy to the experience.
WUMP.....should be used when addressing someone who needs a taste of sugar.
WAKE UP MOTHERFUCKER.........PLEASE!
To be perfectly honest I don't think WUM or WUMF or WUMP will rival OMG for a broadly used abbreviation or an iconic term, but please keep in mind that the whole point of this exercise was to get people to wake up regarding CLIMATE CHANGE and GLOBAL WARMING and a few more motherfuckers here and there is definitely part of the plan.
Use the term the next time you talk to someone who thinks Climate Change and Global Warming is just something made up by Liberals and Democrats to upset the status quo.

What's really amazing is how many of those people there are, and how many we actually know. We love many of them so that's why I added the P to the original.

OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY
On January 7 of this year I wrote about Bill Moyers interviewing Anthony Leiserowitz regarding Climate Change. Anthony is the Director of an organization called the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication.
THE IDEA IS TO RAISE THE COMMUNICATION LEVEL REGARDING CLIMATE CHANGE.
IF MORE POLITICIANS AND CORPORUPTIONS CONSISTENTLY BRING UP THE SUBJECT OF CLIMATE CHANGE......THAN ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.
IT'S A FAIRLY SIMPLE CONCEPT.
IT'S WHY I'VE BROUGHT IT UP AGAIN 5 DAYS LATER.

....Astronomers have discovered the largest known structure in the universe, a clump of active galactic cores that stretches 4 billion light-years from end to end.
The structure is a large quasar group (LQG), a collection of extremely luminous galactic nuclei powered by supermassive central black holes. This particular group is so large that it challenges modern cosmological theory, researchers said.
"While it is difficult to fathom the scale of this LQG, we can say quite definitely it is the largest structure ever seen in the entire universe," lead author Roger Clowes, of the University of Central Lancashire in England, said in a statement. "This is hugely exciting, not least because it runs counter to our current understanding of the scale of the universe."
Quasars are the brightest objects in the universe. For decades, astronomers have known that they tend to assemble in huge groups, some of which are more than 600 million light-years wide.
But the record-breaking quasar group, which Clowes and his team spotted in data gathered by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, is on another scale altogether. The newfound LQC is composed of 73 quasars and spans about 1.6 billion light-years in most directions, though it is 4 billion light-years across at its widest point.

In the past the Liberal plea on environmental social awareness sounded like this.

But now it's more like we need to be worried about our children's children and if action isn't taken soon (like now) then the next thing we'll be saying is, "we are worried about our children."
And then suddenly we will look up and wonder how this happened to US.....
.....NOW!
The fact that 40 percent of the world's population hasn't even heard of Climate Change is certainly a scary issue.....but that figure can be reduced very quickly with the right voices making noise.
Forwarding information to the masses should not be a problem...but those people, companies and organizations that don't want the status quo to change have a lot of power.
I'm really starting to feel that a 1968 or 1969 or 1970 or 1971 or 1972 protest movement might be forming. It doesn't have to be violent it just needs to be LOUD. It doesn't need to be unruly, it just needs to be ORGANIZED. The INTERNET and SOCIAL MEDIA should be able to handle that task.
I'm feeling quite confident that Mr. Leiserowitz is working in the perfect direction and I'm sure he would love to hear from you.

Wasn't going to write about this, but......
For my first post of 2013 I was going to write a fluff piece about how Congress and The White House managed to avoid the Fiscal Cliff ( I wonder if someone owns the copyright of that term) which didn't seem to exist( the term) until a year ago. I imagine there was always a Fiscal Cliff, but the political impasse never had a name, or if it did, it wasn't shared with the rest of us.

Two months from now we will have another FISCAL CLIFF moment so the agreement turns out to be a pause in the battle.
What really got my attention this morning and caused me to traverse away from the fiscal BS was a picture on the front page of the LA TIMES. Please study this image for a few moments.
Focus on the two guys to the right (Amir Heckel and Namir Jeckel) and then try to find one face that seems happy about ANYTHING.
I REALIZE IT'S JUST ONE SNAP SHOT but holy molly these are the troops that we have trained and equipped to fight The Taliban and al-qaida in Afghanistan. Maybe a woman was taking the picture and that might explain the evil looks.
Each one of these guys has learned to use a knife, an assault rifle, a rocket launcher and a computer. They've also been schooled in IED roadside planting ( some had already taken that course on their own) and had extensive sniper training.
Our Fiscal Cliff nonsense will seem quite mundane once we observe Heckel and Jeckel taking down buildings and blowing up embassy's.
Seriously....take another look at the Muslim young men in the picture..... and then keep in mind how pissed off Osama bin Laden would have been, when he was fighting the Russians, if we had made him cut off all his hair and his beard. These guys are being trained to fight their brothers, uncles and cousins. It seems to me that once US troops vacate the region ALL OF THESE SOLDIERS WILL GROW THEIR HAIR AND BEARDS AND THEN TAKE THEIR NEW WEAPONS HOME AND SHARE THEM WITH THEIR LITTLE BROTHERS AND NEPHEWS!
Go ahead take one more look at the Afghan guys who are on our side........now stop laughing.

The act of forgiveness is not used nearly enough
I fully understand that forgiving is a problem for many people. Atrocities, when committed toward innocent people, by mentally deranged and socially unbalanced people, are extremely hard to forgive and especially almost impossible to forget.
Forgiving and forgetting aren't even in the same category because one can forgive much easier than one can forget.
I've noticed lately that forgiveness, by some people I personally know, is only based on the wrong being corrected before the act of forgiveness is demonstrated.
That's not forgiveness because the wrong was corrected.
When the wrong isn't corrected and someone forgives someone for their negative actions then the light of tolerance and compassion shine through and forgiveness lives large.
I fully expect the people I know, both family and friends, to listen to me on this subject.
I fully acknowledge that the ones who can't forgive will tell me to mind my own business.
Harmony, among family and friends, is every one's business....because it flows over and affects the basic structure of society.
So many wonderful words get bantered about at this time of the year and although it's generally a retail ad campaign moment to get you spending your money, there's enough foundation involved to recognize that the ideals and principles of Peace, Love and Harmony are monster concepts that should be increased throughout every waking moment.
Or for certain.....the attempt at increasing Peace, Love and Harmony.
Those three concepts cannot be truthfully constructed without forgiveness.
Everybody makes mistakes.
Everybody.
And everybody knows that everybody makes mistakes and yet I see people who have made huge mistakes become totally judgemental when focusing on other people's mistakes and conclusions are reached that affect the Peace, Love and Harmony within a given social unit and basically holiday cheer turns into holiday stress and holiday stress is amplified to such a degree that effects of a bad holiday are carried into the new year and before one can understand what happened there's a moment in Newtown, Connecticut that causes abnormal stress on the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE.
There are horrible events that should not be tolerated and there are moments among families and friends that are so far below those type of events that it's actually silly to even mention them in the same paragraph....but I see those trivial moments becoming the primary structure of how certain people interact.
Words can be ignored. Thoughts can be changed. Attitudes can be adjusted.
There are some things that cannot be altered.
Words, thoughts and attitudes are not among those things.
WORDS, THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDES ARE ADJUSTABLE.
But it all starts with introspection and realizing that forgiveness is the only road in which new arenas of behavior can be constructed.
It's really not as hard as it sounds unless stubbornness is the dominant element residing at the core of behavior.
Christmas should be the time we practice eliminating stubbornness and increasing the
forgiveness brand of our personal mission statements.
I really can't believe I used mission statement and brand in the same sentence......but what the heck, it's almost 2013 and we've all got to fall in line with the times.
So therefore my Christmas wish to EVERYBODY is...............
IMPROVE YOUR PERSONAL BRAND BY EXPANDING YOUR FORGIVENESS
GENE.
Find it and fix it....or at the very least....realize that it needs some adjustment.
Have a Merry Christmas and let's all work on making 2013 full of Peace, Love and
Harmony.

Trying to make sense of nonsense
Anti-gun people got a huge bonus this week and yet Pro-gun people simply say...bring it on.
Mental health is the problem...not guns. And people who ignore mental health problems, which appears to be a large contingent that started with Reagan health facility reductions in the 80's, say the same thing......bring it on.
Automatic weapons are really unnecessary items to have in one's home.
It would seem that the number of automatic weapons manufactured on an annual basis, combined with a general lack of mental health recognition issues, would converge to create an occasional incident that leaves an entire nation in shock.
Of course there is a vocal group that claim violent video games and movies play a major role in these horrible moments. I'm sure it might create part of the anesthetic needed to be void of compassion but there is much more involved.
It would seem logical that a parent or a relative would recognize a distorted behavior that might indicate a no weapons zone around such a personality. People who are on psychopharmacuticals to control their moods, have doctors and some of the responsibility must fall into their hands.
So many mood control prescriptions are being issued on a daily basis that it probably dwarfs the automatic weapons number. I'll actually investigate those numbers but anybody with common sense knows how big the legal drug industry is.
The lack of compassion starts at the top.
Where is the top?
Is it in Washington?
Is it in your home?
Is it at the doctor's office?
Is it in the school?
Who are the ultimate teachers of our troubled youth
I sure hope it's not Hollywood or Wall Street. At least Hollywood creates content that is uplifting and compassionate to offset the violent and crude entities.
Wall Street on the other hand is entirely based on profit motive and compassion don't really seem to be part of that agenda.
I'm pretty sure that the top is a mom and a dad because
that's the first contact.
I've said in the past; when a person commits a violent act toward other human beings....the parents should be arrested for questioning.
Obviously the mom of that mentally deranged 20 year old in Newtown, Conn won't be able to answer any questions.
So let's go check with his doctor.
Of course doctor/patient confidentiality supersedes anything we might be able to learn. They sure don't want their prescription distributions to be brought and and analysed. That might make them feel responsible and God forbid that the pharmaceutical companies are held responsible because that could bum everybodies favorite high.
Something is out of whack and I'm hoping that it's fixable.
For sure there's going to be some changes needed in how we treat people with mental health problems.........and probably some extreme upgrading
on
how
to
be
a
parent.
I feel so sorry for the parents in Newtown that have to live through the worst thing that will ever happen to them. Hopefully there's an abundance of soul awareness taking place in that town....and that they understand the following words................
"Human beings cannot destroy the true nature of any creature God has created."

I really hate to bring this up....but downwinders beware
I've been wanting to bring this subject up for awhile but every time I think about it I realize that I shouldn't depress you with certain facts...so I drop the idea.

I've decided that you need to be reminded that our government has made decisions in the past that make no sense what's so ever! So when you hear about a contemporary decision regarding our safety and welfare please keep in mind that that decision might not be the right decision.
The real problem is that decisions in the past have a very current and ongoing result.
A RESULT THAT WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED BY OUR GOVERNMENT but we know is happening. The result has to do with radiation poisoning.
I apologize and suggest that young children don't learn about this until they turn 18.
The Nevada National Security Site[1] (N2S2), previously the Nevada Test Site (NTS), is a United States Department of Energy reservation located in southeastern Nye County, Nevada, about 65 mi (105 km) northwest of the city of Las Vegas.
Between 1951 and 1992, there were a total of 928 announced nuclear tests at Nevada Test Site. Of those, 828 were underground.[3] (Sixty-two of the underground tests included multiple, simultaneous nuclear detonations, adding 93 detonations and bringing the total number of NTS nuclear detonations to 1,021, of which 921 were underground.)[4] The site is covered with subsidence craters from the testing. The Nevada Test Site was the primary testing location of American nuclear devices; 126 tests were conducted elsewhere (many at the Pacific Proving Grounds in the Marshall Islands).

On 17 July 1962, the test shot "Little Feller I" of Operation Sunbeam became the last atmospheric test detonation at the Nevada Test Site. Underground testing of weapons continued until 23 September 1992, and although the United States did not ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, the articles of the treaty are nevertheless honored and further tests have not occurred. Subcritical testing, tests not involving the full creation of a critical mass, continue.

Our government had already destroyed two Japanese cities and they assured the troops shown above that 6.1 miles was a safe distance.
And then we remember 900+ underground tests.

In a report by the National Cancer Institute, released in 1997, it was determined that ninety atmospheric tests at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) deposited high levels of radioactive iodine-131 (5.5 exabecquerels) across a large portion of the contiguous United States, especially in the years 1952, 1953, 1955, and 1957—doses large enough, they determined, to produce 10,000 to 75,000 cases of thyroid cancer. The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act of 1990 allowed for people living downwind of NTS for at least two years in particular Nevada, Arizona or Utah counties, between 21 January 1951 and 31 October 1958, or 30 June and 31 July 1962, and suffering from certain cancers or other serious illnesses deemed to have been caused by fallout exposure to receive compensation of $50,000. By January 2006, over 10,500 claims had been approved, and around 3,000 denied, for a total amount of over $525 million in compensation dispensed to "downwinders".[14] Additionally, the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000 provides compensation and medical benefits for nuclear weapons workers who may have developed certain work-related illnesses.[15]

I've decided that you need to be reminded that our government has made decisions in the past that make no sense what's so ever! So when you hear about a contemporary decision regarding our safety and welfare please keep in mind that that decision might not be the right decision.
The real problem is that decisions in the past have a very current and ongoing result.
A RESULT THAT WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED BY OUR GOVERNMENT but we know is happening. The result has to do with radiation poisoning.
I apologize and suggest that young children don't learn about this until they turn 18.
The Nevada National Security Site[1] (N2S2), previously the Nevada Test Site (NTS), is a United States Department of Energy reservation located in southeastern Nye County, Nevada, about 65 mi (105 km) northwest of the city of Las Vegas.
Between 1951 and 1992, there were a total of 928 announced nuclear tests at Nevada Test Site. Of those, 828 were underground.[3] (Sixty-two of the underground tests included multiple, simultaneous nuclear detonations, adding 93 detonations and bringing the total number of NTS nuclear detonations to 1,021, of which 921 were underground.)[4] The site is covered with subsidence craters from the testing. The Nevada Test Site was the primary testing location of American nuclear devices; 126 tests were conducted elsewhere (many at the Pacific Proving Grounds in the Marshall Islands).

On 17 July 1962, the test shot "Little Feller I" of Operation Sunbeam became the last atmospheric test detonation at the Nevada Test Site. Underground testing of weapons continued until 23 September 1992, and although the United States did not ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, the articles of the treaty are nevertheless honored and further tests have not occurred. Subcritical testing, tests not involving the full creation of a critical mass, continue.

Our government had already destroyed two Japanese cities and they assured the troops shown above that 6.1 miles was a safe distance.

Sweet surprise
Searching for Sugar Man is a documentary that simply deserves as much notoriety as any film made in 2012.
I don't want to reveal any pertinent information because everything unfolds in the film and one shouldn't have a clue until that process actually happens on the screen. I don't read reviews until AFTER I've seen a film because I want my own experience to be raw.
The concept of a the big screen experience in a dark movie theater is intended to be a large, magical and emotionally surprising or rewarding event.
Previews and reviews are major attacks on that experience and often times people walk out of a movie disappointed and they aren't even sure why.
When I see a movie, that should be seen by others, I simply try to say that it's a must see movie. At the beginning of the year when Moonrise Kingdom came out I told friends that it was the best movie of the year and when they saw it they totally didn't get anywhere near that reaction. It was the best movie of the year when it came out. There have been numerous better movies since then, but I still think it was one of the top ten films I saw in 2012.
My top five films that I say are must see.......

Silver Linings Playbook
Life of Pi
Lincoln
Ted (the funniest movie I've seen in years)
and 2 bonus films
Brave (best animation since Beauty and the Beast)
Argo (which is probably better than Lincoln but it's Lincoln for christsakes)
My understanding is that there are a couple of must see releases between now and Christmas but I find it hard to believe that they can crack my top 5....but that's exactly why we go to the movies.
SURPRISE ME HOLLYWOOD!
And while I'm begging to be surprised I might as well ask one more favor......after all, it is Christmas time and a wish list is still a wish list no matter how young or old you happen to be.
In 2013 could someone who matters in the world of movie making magic....please read my scripts.

Only a few Puzzles left

These are magnetic puzzles with approximately 70 pieces each. Each puzzle is framed. Each frame was hand-painted.
1992 and 1993 was my Puzzle Period and these are the large ones that I still have. Note the two on the bottom with the missing pieces. Those missing pieces were taken at the galley, by some deranged collector, where I was showing......and basically created a roadblock. I was working on figuring out how to circumvent the roadblock when February 3, 1994 changed EVERYTHING.
The beginning started on December 27, 1991 at 3am. I was having a dream.....
Jackson Pollack and I were sitting around a big round oak dining table, drinking beers and smoking cigarettes and talking about my art work. Mr. Pollack said these exact words...."Well, I like your color sense and I think the flow thing you are trying to achieve is interesting, but if you want to fuck with people make puzzles of my artwork."
HIS WORDS SAT ME UP IN BED (I've had two of those type of dreams in my life) and the next day I went to my office and made my first small 18 piece non-magnetic puzzle and the following day started a company called.....
"ART IS A PUZZLE, but then you already knew that."
My small gift item puzzles were very successful and then 7 months later I learned about magnetic fields and discovered I could buy rolls of magnetic adhesive and create larger pieces that would go into galleries. I sold 11 puzzles for between $600 and $1500 in one Palm Desert gallery within the first 45 days and then the Universe decided I needed to be altered. Three galleries within one month called with the same story......"someone took a piece of your puzzle....could you bring a replacement piece." Since every puzzle was an original, replacement pieces were obviously out of the question.
I personally believe that since my puzzle period is well behind me, and I've created hundreds of new images and designs, alone with three new periods, that those four pieces shown above have a value that should be determined by auction.
Do I hear $2500?
The idea is at the end of my show, when everybody is good and drunk, or stoned on medical pot, to bring out the puzzles and see what the Universe has in store for me NOW.
I think the Universe owes me big time and I'm ready for the debt to be settled.
Of course there's a good chance that everything is still one big puzzle and my art will always be the missing piece of my life.
A side bar.....I applied for a Jackson Pollack Foundation Grant a few years ago and told them the whole story.................. and never heard a word.
It's the 20 year anniversary of my Puzzle Period and I'm still proud of how they look and how they've held up.
Do I hear $3000?
