It’s so obvious
that I’m doing something extremely wrong And it can’t be

If I think and

question what I’m supposed to believe And then it hits me

I mean it’s really empty and void of things that I need
A quantum void that thinks my protons should bleed
Something is missing in the program I’ve selected
And it makes me wonder what exactly I’ve neglected
I can look at my work and see what I’ve done
But simply doing the work doesn’t create much fun

I can’t even afford to pay my rent
The direction I travel just makes me wonder where I went
I came here from there and then moved over to another
road
And then I remember what I haven’t been told
Of course one needs coin for the basic supplies
But it can’t be the goal when seeking the spiritual wise

As far as personal responses to what I do, I've probably never had a more satisfying year. At the same time, as I observe planetary issues, I've probably never seen more goofy or cruel indications of human stupidity.
IgnoringClimate Change might be stupidest thing we do....because it affects the future of the human race.
But of course behavior as a result of our religious belief systems causes immediate stress.
Obviously the situation in Syria IS off the charts for WTF behavior. The differences one has with one's behavior in how to honor the Creator is always going to cause angst....but when details can't even be discussed then another entire level of insanity develops.
It seems that talking to a radical Islamic follower about their issues just ends up with God is Greatand infidels must perish. I have not read the Koran but it would seem that instructions in the 7th Century might be archaic and slightly outdated....especially when it comes to violent action.
Just like stories from the Bible, which have been altered to suit the corporate growth of Christianity and the mystic of Judaism, need to be read with an enjoyment of story telling, not the only words of GOD.
The treatment of women in the Islamic faith and the role they play really makes no sense.

The Pope could actually start to effect an overall change by simply making a few changes. First and foremost Priest should be allowed to marry and woman should be allowed to be ordained.
Those simple two issues would solve a lot of problems in the Catholic Church.
When I read about human trafficking I just get really pissed off. Why would any law enforcement agency in the world allow this to take place?
If they combined resources and then used snipers to eliminate the assholes in charge of taking human beings from the families...then fairly quickly, that problem would be greatly reduced.
The church, Malibu United Methodist, where I just had my latest The Other God Particles show,
started an organization called The Freedom Road Project to help bring awareness to the Malibu community regarding this matter. Every church in the world should have a similar organization that talks about this issue during every single service....and doesn't stop talking until the issue becomes a non-issue.
And don't try to tell me that something like human trafficking will always exist as long as assholes have power and money. Most of those assholes have families of their own. I know for sure they had mothers and fathers at some point in their life and most likely those parents didn't do a very good job when it came to the category of morality instruction.
Unless of course the assholes took over a family business and expanded the revenue stream.
Remember one thing....people stealing people (and that's truly not a Streisand song) and transporting people for sex and slavery is done for one reason and one reason only......MONEY.
IT HAS TO STOP!

Regarding the Ferguson situation in Missouri.........only thing I can say......the guy who died appears to have been an asshole (film of him stealing cigars from the shop and pushing that little man)) but assholes who steal things should just be TASERED until their dicks fall off.....not shot to death.
And using a TASER seems to be a departmental issue......I'm just thinking that every police officer in the country should have one or two on their belt.
Maybe St. Louis hasn't put it on their budget.
They should...and they should do it now.....and then go out and taser a few assholes just to show that they don't have to kill everyone.
Riots and burning buildings usually turns out to be an unemployment issue and a fast way to get some things needed around the house. A really stupid fast way, because now there's no place to shop........except for Wal-Mart, which I noticed never seems to be involved...either because they don't have a store anywhere near that part of town or they don't have a lot of windows. Costco uses that same design concept. Not a lot of window shopping in the big box retailer era.

THE POT LUCK DINNER part was someone else's idea....but hey, we've all got to eat....right?
I've been busy being one of the other mes, visual artist, over the last few months and ignored MindJazz to a certain extent. It turns out that there are about five other mes hanging out inside this physical entity also known as my body....or more specific....my awareness. I seem to know for sure that I have a body but my awareness goes a bit deeper than physical reality.
The art of illusion is so damn wonderful.
I'm not sure I've ever used the term mes so I don't know if it's spelled mes or me's....all I know is that there are more than one and lest than 7 so I put the number at five for now.
And before you start thinking about split personality issues please keep in mind that an artist doesn't need to be diagnosed with a split personality disorder....it's just part of what makes the whole picture complete. Of course it could all be building toward something completely different than what I envision but being a renaissance human being just suits the issue. By the way.....I've met a few more lately and the term truly does explain a certain modern day artistic personality.
Renaissance terminology always adds a bit of flavor to the description and until someone creates a better understanding of multi-faceted talent and interests, than renaissance will have to do.
Being a renaissance human being is not a time frame reference but that's what labels have been able to do. Labels place people in categories and categories place people in boxes and boxes place people on shelves and shelves place people in closets and closets place people behind doors and doors can be locked and keys can be hidden and pretty soon no one knows what was even in that box....or if that box ever existed. Eventually someone will find the key, open the door, go in the closet, take out the box and discover something. Is that something worthwhile or not? Is it pretty or not? Is it thought provoking or not?
And thus the critic is born.
So many closets and so many boxes and so many levels of talent. I'm just now learning about what I truly can offer in order to help make this planet a better place to live.
Why would I care about that?
Why don't you care about that?
And that brings us down to the issue of having many interests and many ways to unfold those interests into a physical solid pieces of work.
Multi-tasking seems to be a new description for people that are able to do more than one thing at the same time but I doubt very much if that term could be adequately applied to DaVinci's wide range of interests.

When one looks back through the archives of MindJazz , and eventually that will be all that is left, it will be interesting to note that September of 2014 has ZERO posts.
I think my excuse is fairly adequate for the non-posting month.
One thing I just noticed is the amount of increased views on my stat sheet. Overall increase is rather interesting.....and I'm not sure what that's attributed to. It's almost like more people are looking when I'm not posting on a regular basis. Which means if I never post again, within two years I should have about 1 million readers.
Oh, to live and operate within the land of fantasy....
I do envision having quite a few more readers but a million would seem rather impossible..... but once again I marvel at the mysteries within which the Universe plays with me.
I know the Universe plays with everyone but I feel like I experience an abnormal amount of interaction that seems to have jovial combined with heartwrenching elements.
But that's just me you see.......
"The Other God Particles" is the main reason for missing September and although it only ran 11 days....it totally consumed 100% of my time and energy. It started on the 6th and ended on the 16th......of course it took six months (and 35 years) to complete the project.
The next excuse is explained in the photo below.
This event happened on September 20th and was shortly followed by that stoic couple becoming themselves again....I think it took about two hours to answer the water call.

It was a very special day and evening and I'm was quite proud to be part of it.
NOW let's get back to ME.
I was going to do a complete summary of the show but since the 11 day run turned out to be "Previews" for the next show and for the show after the next show....I've decided to leave out the gory details. And as my friend Norton Wisdom said two weeks before the show....."Art show openings are a train wreck." I don't think my show was a train wreck but there sure were some derailings that took place in the time leading up to....during...and immediately after the actual event. And the main culprit didn't turn out to be yours truly but instead that title rested on the shoulders of the gallery owner. Everyone says the same thing about him....."He's a really nice guy."
It actually might be true but his business and marketing sense is pretty much non-existent....except of course when it comes to his own artwork.
And one consistently hears this quote about him...."well, he is an artist, after all."
Very few artist have ever been able to run a successful art gallery so that's one explanation regarding his shortcomings.
I realize that it's not entirely his fault, but operating a business within a dead paradigm is just not a good idea if one wants to stay in this particular type of business.
The INTERNET has totally changed the dynamic on how living artist can present their work.
Of course it's nice to have a good location with walls to show your work but if the gallery in question doesn't have an established collector base (and it need not be a large base) then what actual good benefits an artist being in said gallery?
By the way...a collector base is a certain number of people that trust and rely on the gallery owner to present them with artwork, and artists, that might prove to be worth collecting. The worth part becomes illusionairy because whereas the work might prove socially important, that doesn't necessarily translate to increased financial value.....and generally collectors are quite interested in that aspect of collecting........DUH!
I was totally responsible for 99% of the 300 people who attended my opening. Had I not done the marketing work I would have been standing in a gallery with the owner and his single paid employee listening to him say for the 15th time......"see I told you no one would buy anything."
He claimed to have a 3000 e-mail invite list....and yet there weren't 10 people who came because of his invitations.
I said I wasn't going to summarize the entire ordeal but the fact of the matter is....the owner of the gallery tried quite hard to make sure I didn't have a successful show.
Little did he realize that I was in "Previews" and just being able to present the show for the first time was all I really wanted to do.
The fact that I did sell some work just made the experience that much sweeter....but truthfully the only reason sales are important is because it allows one to buy more supplies.
For the last two weeks I have been cleaning up my "Studio" so that I can get busy for the next presentation. Since January I have been inside a massive mini cylinder of chaos trying to create the vision that I had banging around inside my little brain.
The Order that resulted from the Chaos came out looking pretty damn good.......and I can say that because I heard it over and over and over and over....and one doesn't tire of hearing nice things about something that has dominated every waking moment for the last 9 months.
The last photo shows the picture windows covered in 1/2 foam core......of course next time I will have something painted on the foam core.....like maybe a knock off Bansky piece. My friend Patrick had to put up and take down the foam core three times during the night so that I could present my SHOW in its best LIGHT. Ambient light reduces the effect of protons colliding at almost the speed of light............and I need to have A GLOWING LIGHT within a dark room........if you get my drift. When a room full of people, in an Art Gallery, start clapping and cheering you know you've done something right.
Now I've just got to get back to work and make sure the next show is even more RIGHT. And for a guy who is always leaning to the LEFT.....that's not really easy to do.
I feel confident that by the time I hit Broadway I will have THE SHOW honed to a tee.

On Saturday night September the 6th I'm having my first solo art show. I know you already know that but it's just fun to write it out one more time.....in fact one more time
I'm having my first solo art show on September 6 2014....at the Hamilton Galleries in Santa Monica. This is the press release and then the official invite card. I truly would be extremely disappointed if you didn't show up

It's a fairly big deal in my life and I've only been thinking about something like this since I was 6......so the old adage, better late than never, really applies in this case. I was in galleries in the early 90's but never a solo dealio. But that's not all the great news that is happening.
Those five beautiful girls are all McAlevey girl's. Two of them, so far, have changed their last names and I simply can't explain why anyone would want to stop using MACALVY, McALVERY, MACALEVY, McLevy, Mcaleaveeay, or McWhat......just doesn't make any sense to me.
But that's just me you see.
The babe on the far right is being carried around by the beautiful Vanessa Carkonen. There's a baby in there stupid.
The chick third from the right is now a Naylor...and the fact that Mike did just that doesn't surprise anyone who knows Victoria.
The other two hotties on the left, Alexandra and Elizabeth, are still on the market but I don't think Evan and Gerald would appreciate that comment....but listen here boys......you guys have the inside track so don't blow it.
Now.....the second sweetface from the right....is Lily May Montana McAlevey and she is my daughter. What has happened to her in the last month is the best career news a father can receive.
My daughter is a highly gifted dancer and artist. She is just learning about her art abilities but her dancing abilities are known by anyone who knows her.
She now works for a dance studio in Malibu teaching little kids how to dance.
It is a perfect job for her....and it's a job that can easily become a career. After 12 years of ballet training and dancing for free at different clubs and party venues...she now is getting paid to do what she loves.
MY HEART IS BURSTING WITH PRIDE....because she is career happy for the first time.
Lily being happy is all I want for her. Well, I'd like her to meet a wonderful socially conscious man who knows how fabulous she is and worships the ground she walks on, but that's an issue which cannot be rushed.
The other great news is that I've begun a soft friendship with the most gifted artist that I've ever personally encountered and his beautiful wife Carla. I say soft because this man has so many people who admire what he has done and what he represents that to say anything but soft would almost seem like an intrusion on his space.

One of the other amazing things happening is the golf game of my older brother Jerry. I think back 5 years ago when he started playing consistently and my dad quietly said to me...."he ain't EVER going to be able to play this game....and nobody improves once they get past 60."
SO WRONG DAD....SO VERY VERY WRONG. He now beats everyone of the regulars he plays with including yours truly.
Ok...so now let us get back to me. Right now it's all about ME. Of course that will change on the morning after my show. Then everything will revert to being all about YOU.
The Universe is having a good time with me right now. The small nuances that keep flowing through my daily existence are often times quite funny and then at other times they are quite staggeringly stressful.
Here's a funny one. Every morning I wake up around 6 and take Ollie out for his walk. Being a Yorkshire Terrier his bladder is the size of a golf ball so he's a 3 time a day pisser. I walk two blocks to the market and get the LA Times and say hi to my DP's. (Daily peoples) Then I come home and do my morning food recycling while reading the paper. I start with the Calender section because show biz is a big part of my life, having been born in Hollywood. I read the entire section and then I read my horoscope. Then I read the Pearls Before Swine comic strip by Steven Pastis. It's consistently funny and I've only been reading it for about six months thanks to my friend Dr. Francis Joseph Conlan, better known as Butch, from Northern California. I used to read only Doonesbury but his strip during the week has been repeats for the last four months and I don't do repeats. I appreciate that his Sunday strip is current and that's better than nothing.
Yesterday morning I woke up slightly bummed. The night before I had done a Q & A in front of 45 people at the above mentioned artist's house regarding my art show and the Particle Fever movie. I semi-bombed the event and felt horrible about my 15 minute presentation. I did my regular routine and when I got to the horoscope I read the following words.
"Put the word out. Hire a PR person or become your own. Hold nothing back. What you share will multiply your good fortunes and the good fortune of others." It really pumped me up and I don't even believe in Astrology but I read the nonsense because....because......I'm an idiot...and contradictions along with illusion play a big part in my persona.
But most of all I know The Universe is having some fun with me and that makes me feel connected.
I enjoy the thought of being connected even if it's not true. Keep in mind that all theories regarding NPR are abstract by their very nature....and besides that.......they are theories. When it comes to finding truth about non-physical reality those of us who wish to appear as Theoretical mystical thinkers do not have Experimental mystical doers to prove them right or wrong. Experimental Physicists are fundamentally important to Theoretical Physicists......but the arena I play in has no such participants. Neo-Illumination # 25 The string theory has been adopted by Quantum minds and there are opportunities to truly understand the mysteries of Creation But keep in mind Neo-Illumination #12 Sometimes the soul of an artist can know for sure what the mind of a scientist will never understand. Kind of cocky , huh? Please remember...not only is Michael Timothy McAlevey coming out of the hidden art closet but I'm bring Neo-Illumination with me and the dance should prove rather interesting. The last song on my play list for the show will be this piece by the guy who makes me dance the best....and probably the most. It's hard to sit still when Johnny does his thing.
I might be dancing all by myself.....but it will be at the end of the show and there's a good chance that I will be the only one there. I plan on playing that song until someone comes back and checks up on me. Well since you are my only reader I've got to thank you personally for getting to the end of this and now I've got to get back to work. ONE WEEK AWAY Tomorrow I'll post the brochure that I will hand out at the show, just in case you can't make it, so you will have some idea of what has brought me to this exact point.....which is approximately 13.9 billion years since The Creator gave us The Universe. To solve problems on a large scale it's important to think large....and since everybody seems to be trying to cover their own asses the thought process stays fairly individually centralized.....or small, if you know what I mean.

I left off with the comment that I know how to correct some of the antiquated religious thinking that would allow for the act of Apostasy to end in a death sentence.
I wrote the following on 9-15-2001........obviously four days after 9/11. What I wrote then has not been implemented but it's still the best I've got and at the very least it's something. I'm presenting this piece exactly how it was written
I saw a movie this week..... but the credits never appeared....... the special effects were unbelievable.....so real that I couldn't believe what I was seeing..... I waited to see who directed this blockbuster I waited to see who wrote the script I waited to see who produced this epic I waited to see who distributed this huge production..... but the credits never appeared. I waited to see who the sound editor was I waited to see who the film editor was I waited to see who the costume designer was I waited to see who wrote the music score but the credits never appeared.
I ESPECIALLY WAITED TO SEE WHO THE STARS WERE BUT THE CREDITS NEVER APPEARED AND THEN SLOWLY THE STARS STARTED TO APPEAR.... THE HERO'S NAMES STARTED TO ARISE FROM THE ASHES AND I QUICKLY REALIZED THAT THE FILM WAS A DOCUMENTARY I waited to see who the cameraman was....and discovered that there were hundreds of them....scattered all across the landscape....every angle was covered from every possible viewpoint and then I waited to see who the set designer was.... but the credits never appeared............... pg 2

THE SCARIEST THOUGHT IS there are no credits because there is no ending and until THE END appears there will be no credits...and then it might be a little too late to show the credits except in futuristic technological history books.....
THE TRUTH IS....OUR SENSES HAVE BEEN MANIPULATED BY THE MEDIA AND THIS IS NOT A NEW THEORY....BUT WE'VE NEVER HAD A TEST SCREENING QUITE LIKE THE FILM I'VE WATCHED THIS WEEK.
We have seen every form of destruction known to mankind and then add the outer space genre and we have seen amazing other forms of destruction beyond out earthly means....but there was always credits.
It turns out the film didn't start on 9-11-2001 like everybody thinks.....it started much, much earlier. pg 3
FINDING OUT WHEN IT ACTUALLY DID START MIGHT BE THE ONLY REAL WAY TO DISCOVER WHEN THE END MIGHT APPEAR AND THE CREDITS MIGHT FINALLY ROLL ACROSS THE SCREEN.
LEARNING HOW THE ANGER AND THE HATE WAS CREATED WILL BE OUR ONLY WAY TO UNDERSTAND THE FILM MAKER'S MOTIVATIONS.
PUTTING ONESELF IN THE MIND OF THE FILM MAKER IS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW WHAT STIMULATED THIS HUGE PROJECT.
THE ONLY WAY TO DO THAT....IS TO DISCUSS....... CONVERSE....... COMMUNICATE....... WITH THE CREATOR OF THIS INCREDIBLE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL MEDIA EVENT.
Understanding the reasons, even if you don't agree with them....allows you to know what moral avenue one must travel to seek solutions.
If this is truly a HOLY WAR then the answers are going to be extremely hard to understand. The reasons are not going to make any sense at all, unless you are on the side of that certain belief system.

We, as a species, have chosen to define violent actions by using GOD's name more times than can even be discussed. ALMOST every organized religion on this planet has illustrated extremely poor judgement when dealing with other organized religious belief systems pg 5
For us to understand anything about this last week we must begin at the beginning of each belief system. We must study and we must learn and then we must accept and we must tolerate differences.....and above all we must immediately STOP THINKING thatthe CREATOR of the UNIVERSEAPPROVES OF ANY VIOLENT ACTION TAKEN TO ACHIEVE A SPIRITUAL END.
SOUL AWARENESSmust emerge from this tragedy, by victims and perpetrators, from observers and reporters, children and nations.
DO WE HAVE THE POWER? Do we have the ability to use our true power to overcome the hostility? Will we only use the type of power that creates more destruction or will we truly begin to demonstrate a stronger power?
This power that is being tested perhaps as never before....it is a power that exists in each and every soul on Earth....IT that must surface for PEACE and FREEDOM to finally arrive on our planet. We are at a crossroads of unbelievable proportions and if we are unable to use the POWER of LOVE at this crossroads, the havoc which will result, because of that failure, will turn this beautiful blue/green sphere into an arena of chaos.....well beyond our wildest imaginations. pg 6

WE NEED TO GET THE STARS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE SCRIPT WRITERS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE DIRECTORS TOGETHER WE TO GET THE PRODUCERS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE STUDIOS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE PUBLICISTS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE CRITICS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE DISTRIBUTORS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE FILM EDITORS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE SOUND EDITORS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE SET DESIGNERS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE GRIPS TOGETHER WE NEED TO GET THE CATERERS TOGETHER AND THEN WE NEED TO DEMONSTRATE OUR ABILITY TO LISTEN AND LEARN AND THEN LOVE WHAT WE HEAR AND LOVE WHO WE HEAR IT FROM.....AND THEN LOVE THAT WE MIGHT HAVE DIFFERENT WAYS OF TRYING TO REACH THE SAME GOAL
AND most of all, as members of the human race, we DEMAND validation of violent behavior by religious ideals in our PRESENT TIME FRAME....which is the 21st Century in case it slipped your mind.
WE DO THIS BY CREATING A MAJOR MEDIA EVENT CALLED........... THE COUNCIL OF FAITH We cover it like no media event in history and we give it prime time exposure......and equal to the amount of time it has taken to demonstrate tragic religious behavior. Let the world watch and participate. BRING EVERY RELIGION, through various levels of leaders within each organization, TOTHE COUNCIL OF FAITH and once and for all let's put them all on TRIAL! pg 7

(by the way...this was written before Google and Social Media became mainstays in our daily life...so of course the coverage by Facebook and Twitter simply adds to the amount of people paying attention) USE THE MEDIA IN WAYS NEVER USED....MAKE GOVERNMENTS HELP PAY FOR THE BROADCAST AND ONLY ALLOW ONE ADVERTISEMENT PER HALF HOUR OF COVERAGE. IF THIS COUNCIL OF FAITH IS ALLOWED TO TAKE PLACE THEN PERHAPS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY THE HUMAN RACE CAN TRULY SEE THE CREDITS AND HAVE AN ENDING THAT DEMONSTRATES OUR APPRECIATION TO THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE FOR HAVING GIVEN US A SOUL THAT ALLOWS US TO LOVE NOT DESTROY. pg 8 ******************************************************** Now excuse me while I take some more mushrooms and acid and start planning the 2016 COUNCIL OF FAITH experience at CNN, BBC, etc.......
