Dear St. Louis football fans

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in Los Angeles, California, which competes in the National Football League's NFC West division. The franchise has won three NFL championships, and is the only one to win championships representing three different cities (Cleveland in 1945, Los Angeles in 1951, and St. Louis in 1999). The Rams play their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

One thing always remains the same......the Ram helmet might change colors but it still is always a Ram design.

Obviously there are very few fans left in Cleveland but imagine the old guy who was a Ram fan as a young man when they won the Championship in 1945 AND THEN MOVED TO LOS ANGELES THE NEXT YEAR.

THAT KID WAS CRUSHED......

But The Cleveland Browns were born and legends were made and the people of Cleveland never looked back.....except for that one old man who remembers when he was 8 and the Cleveland Rams were champs. Then 4 years later the Rams were champs again and that kid was now 12 and he got pumped watching the Ram helmet travel to the top of the game.  Then there was a long pause and 49 years later he was 61 and the Rams were once more the best team in football.  Now that dude is 80 years old and although he doesn't feel 80 he picks up the sports section of the Cleveland Gazette (?) and sees the Ram helmet getting ready to play in the 53 Super Bowl.

ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT GUY IS ROOTING FOR THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS?

I DON'T THINK SO

And for you....the St. Louis football fan, I simply say.....hey the Rams didn't start in St. Louis and they didn't start in Los Angeles but currently they get their mail in Los Angeles and they still wear the Ram Helmet.

GET OVER IT.

I was 5 years old when they won their last championship in LA but I loved watching them win the Super Bowl while representing your great city.  And mark my words St. Louis is one of the great sports cities in America and that is mainly due to the storied baseball franchise known as the St. Louis Cardinals.

And yes I have numerous relatives in your area and yes I am sure most of them are saying they don't care about the Rams anymore but please note that when they were the Greatest Show on Turf there were young people who were just getting interested in football.  Imagine all the St. Louis 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old kids who loved the Rams.  Yes they might be disappointed that the Rams left and went back to LA but there is a deep affection that remains in there hearts for that Ram helmet.

When the Rams left LA in 1994 I was not really upset. There were other factors taking place in my life that outweigh sports by about a trillion pounds.

1994 is easily the worst year of my life and it has nothing to do with the Rams or the fact that there was no World Series that year.

February 3rd 1994 is the single worst day of my life....and next Sunday the Rams will be playing in the 53rd Super Bowl on the 25th Feb 3rd since 1994.  Every year February 3 arrives and I simply try to deal with the pain and the memory.

Football means so little when weighing the negative reality events that take place in our lives.
But it does temporarily take one's mind off of the unwanted events.....unless that event falls on the exact day of the event.....but that's my problem, not yours.

As St. Louis football fans I'm not asking you to not be upset that OUR football team came home to LA.  I'm just asking you to look at the bigger picture and keep your eyes on the helmet.

I'm asking you to think of those young people in your city that grew up loving the Rams and then think of that old dude in Cleveland that once more can see that Ram helmet in the last game of the season....knowing that any moment could be his last season.

The New England Patriots are a legendary successful football team that will never be forgotten.

The Cleveland, The Los Angeles, The St. Louis, and again the Los Angles RAMS are also a legendary football team but for other reasons...mainly having to do with movement.

All it takes is multiple highly successful seasons and the Rams can move up that ladder of greatness.

Now one last thing......in Los Angeles we have so many more people than St. Louis and that means we have so many more 7,8,9,10 and 11 year old kids that are just starting to love football and guess what?

THEY ARE LOS ANGELES RAM FANS......and of course some are Charger fans
BUT
winning a Super Bowl increases the fan base
by
oodles
and
oodles
and
more oodles than you can even imagine.

Please simply put your anger toward management aside and
watch the RAM PLAYERS on Feb 3 2019 try to win another Super Bowl.....this time representing Los Angeles, California......
and
still wearing
the
helmet.

Thanks
Los Angeles Ram fan with a ton of St.Louis blood.
