Question and a history comparison

I will agree with our President that we have an immigration problem.  I don't agree with his WALL solution because America is not a place that tries to solve problems by building walls.

We build POSSIBILITIES and HOPE for people throughout the world by demonstrating that we respect life, liberty and above all
freedom...even though it is not mentioned.

The pursuit of happiness is also very important because "those guys" said so in the Declaration of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 


Pursuing happiness has probably turned out to be the most illusive quest that our forefathers (sorry foremothers) mentioned.....mainly because happiness is not only an illusive term but just when you get really happy someone,or something, drops an physical or spiritual anvil on your foot and you become instantly unhappy.   



Keep in mind that NEWS can be the heaviest anvil that any of us receive....and it doesn't always have to be news on a personal basis.  Of course when the news is personal and the information is not positive, then the possibility of finding happiness again any time soon becomes a very real challenge.


Observing our current President and his manner of behavior, both speaking and acting, is one of the major challenges many of us face at this time in American history.  

And I make no bones about it when I say this is a unique time in our 243 year history.


First off, I'M experiencing it and therefore it is extremely important.  Second off, YOU are experiencing it and therefore it becomes doubly important.  And then it goes on and on and on and on and on and 7 billion souls later we have the only time that matters in the history of OUR world.


THIS IS OUR TIME and we either let someone else determine the future for our children and their children 
or 
we make the situation 
better 
by 
doing better.

Is Donald J. Trump the best that America has to offer the world?

Did you think Richard M. Nixon was the best America had to offer in 1972?

If you are someone who voted in the 1972 election than you must have because that dickhead won every state except Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.  I'm proud to say that he didn't win Marin County but sad to say he won 99 percent of all remaining counties in America.

If you are a younger person than you need to study that election and see what happens when the population simply refuses to pay attention.


I compare that election with the one coming in 2020 because we, as a collective, have had a prolonged opportunity to view the personality of our current elected President; similar to how long we viewed Tricky Dick.  (As Vice-President from 1952-1960 and then President from 1968. In 1962, after losing the Governor's race in California, he was completely written off and yet like the phoenix he reappeared big time)


President Trump or "President Biff" as I like to call him, has been in the public eye for multiple decades and before 2016 most of the information regarding him was from a reality (sort of) TV show. 

Previously the news about him pertained to a new marriage or a bankruptcy involving either a casino or a business venture of his doing.

I'll repeat this one more time...

Is Donald J. Trump the best that America has to offer the world?

And trust me when I say our President has a major effect on the entire world because of what America has accomplished in 243 years.

WE ARE THE BAROMETER FOR PROSPERITY AND THAT ELUSIVE SEARCH FOR HAPPINESS....AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT.

How we handle the responsibility of being the actual leader of the free world is the real question of the day.

and yes I have to ask it one more time....

AMERICA HAS TO OFFER?

If you say yes then you really don't pay attention and you really don't give a shit about the future of America.
