Peace and War

If Tolstoy had named his novel Peace and War, instead of War and Peace, maybe war wouldn't always be first and foremost....and maybe it wouldn't be a thing that people refer to as something that......

ALWAYS HAS BEEN
AND ALWAYS WILL BE...AS LONG AS HUMAN NATURE IS INVOLVED

I've always cringed at that comment because it doesn't allow for any upgrade in the human evolutionary process.

AND IT IS THE STATEMENT THAT LIBERAL IDEALISTIC PEACE DREAMERS ALWAYS HEAR......WHEN HAVING A DEBATE, OR A CONVERSATION WITH ANYONE WHO IS NOT A......

LIBERAL IDEALISTIC PEACE DREAMER

I use the words IDEALISTIC and DREAMER with LIBERAL AND PEACE.... BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE WORDS THAT GET INTERJECTED WHEN ONE STARTS TALKING ABOUT NOT BELIEVING IN THE ART OF WAR.

"YOU IDEALISTIC DREAMER...WAKE UP....EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD HAS BEEN STARTED AND SETTLED BY WAR AND THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE.....GROW UP YOU LIBERAL IDEALISTIC PEACE DREAMER."

IS THIS A LIBERAL VS CONSERVATIVE ISSUE?

Are Liberals the only political ideology segment in our population......that believes in Peace?

ARE THERE ANY POLITICAL CONSERVATIVES THAT HAVE BEEN CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS?

Is having an objection to war only possible from the heart and minds of Liberal thinkers?

I can't believe that the above statement is true but I don't know where to look.

IT'S LIKE THE COUNTRY, AND PERHAPS THE WORLD, NEEDS TO PRESENT A PBS SHOW ON....

A COUNCIL

SOMETHING SO THAT PEOPLE CAN KNOW ONCE AND FOR ALL...

ARE YOU FOR PEACE?
ARE YOU FOR WAR?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN HUMAN EVOLUTIONARY GROWTH?

DO YOU THINK WE ARE THE SAME AS WE WERE 5000 YEARS AGO?

DO YOU THINK HUMAN NATURE IS ADVANCING?

DO YOU THINK WE ARE NOT CAPABLE OF INTELLECTUAL ADVANCEMENT?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD ENCOURAGES AND SUPPORTS WAR AND PROMOTES HUMAN SACRIFICE?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD IS A CREATOR AND DOESN'T INTERFERE IN HUMAN DECISIONS?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD IS LOVE?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD IS WAR?

DO YOU WANT PEACE?

DO YOU WANT WAR?

AND DON'T FREAKIN TELL ME THAT IT'S JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE, HAVE BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE AS LONG AS HUMAN BEINGS ARE INVOLVED.

DON'T SAY IT!

even though I'm pretty sure you might believe it......

but no matter what you might believe, there is some part of your intellectual thought process that knows that war is not inevitable and that peace is the ultimate goal and someday it will be the answer to human conflict....

that problems will be solved with words, concessions, compromise, intellectual reasoning and understanding of differences.....and telling someone to shut up or go to hell and die....doesn't solve anything, but instead breads an atmosphere of war and tension.

DO YOU LIKE WAR AND TENSION?

DO YOU LIKE PEACE AND CALM?

I'M JUST PRETTY SURE THAT CONSERVATIVE POLITICIANS, THAT SUPPORT PEACE, ARE FAR AND FEW BETWEEN....

AND OF COURSE THEY SIMPLY LOOK AT ME AND SAY...

"SHUT UP AND DIE...YOU LIBERAL IDEALISTIC
PEACE DREAMING...FREAK!"

and I will just sit back and make fun of everybody and everything until the higher evolutionary process gets a stronger hold into the psyche of human nature......

but I will keep looking for Conservatives who love Peace.....
