Reading and Writing and making thoughts expand.

This is my 1,229 "article" on Mind Jazz and the fact that I decided  not to put a th after the number 1,229 slightly irks me.  I've read that it's redundant and unnecessary because how else can 1,229 be read without assuming that it's the 1,229th.

Those of you who do read Mind Jazz from time to time, obviously would not consider me to be anything close to a well respected member of the fourth estate. ( I have other skills that translate to the visual side of creation) but when it comes to writing I do assume that you recognize an ability to summarize issues and from time to time make you snicker or snort a slight spew of acceptance and perhaps even consider that once in awhile I push your thought process in a different direction than where it normally resides....or not.

I have a style that I consistently adhere to 
and I use 
that
style
for emphasis and 
"fun" but mainly
emphasis.

How much fun this generates, within the confines of your brain, can truly only be registered IF you choose to share your thoughts and ideas with me.  Of course with my Aquarius nature....sometimes I get your feedback without you saying a word.  It's amazing how close together the words psychotic and psychic appear in the dictionary.

A few of you actually do let me know outloud from time to time......
and those few seem to be enough to guarantee that I will continue to make Mind Jazz a part of my life until I no longer
can remember how to put the letters together......

In truth we eventually all end up eyxpkqyi.......

Sometimes the letters put themselves together due to the electronic nature of the machine I am using....and what appears, quite often, surprises me.  Similar to talking without thinking.

Back in the early 70's I started using a Smith Corona Electric Typewriter and realized that letters simply started taking shape in formations that seem to make more sense than the non-electric typewriter I had been using.  Tesla had a handle on electricity.....electricity has a handle on me.

Oddly at the same time, my hand written journal entries started to improve and as I sit here explaining my "literary" efforts to you, I can look behind me and count 24 finished journals with 20 more in a case to my right.  The ones to my right are in the 10 x 12 size range while the ones behind me are considerably larger and include art as well as writing.

A few months ago I started printing copies of Mind Jazz "articles" but ran out of ink and decided that printing them would have to wait until my ship arrived.....and judging from the low tide that seems to be part of my f**ked up financial nature that ship  won't be docking anytime soon.  It does traverse back and forth on the horizon so I've got that going for me.

But like many things I do this opening was simply meant to be a diversion from the subject I originally wanted to write about.....
which is one of my favorite subjects
and favorite things to do.......
reading.

Since reading and writing go hand in hand  my brain decided to bring up writing first and then ease you into reading....and reading in a manner that seems to be fading much like the hope for political integrity....of which we currently seem to have less than any time in recent history.

READING WHILE ACTUALLY HOLDING A BOOK

Have I lost you?

Is your Kindle or e-reader sitting within five feet of you and demanding that you stop following what this nut is saying about

and tucked inside a

I love the physicality of  books and the reading part travels well beyond the term love.....it's more of a lifeline.

There are certain observations that I would like to share regarding contemporary styles and the actual ink-spillers who create the letters which allow books to become reality.

FICTION vs NON-FICTION
Contemporary vs Classical

Except for very rare occasions I have always preferred non-fiction because of the imagination needed to create....but that's just me.

Imagined dialogue by Elmore Leonard has always captivated me.

The literary talent of James Lee Burke simply has no peers in contemporary non-fiction literature.

Dean Koontz has developed into one of the best story tellers of our time and his place in history will only rise up the ladder of greatness.

For fun reading anything Clive Cussler  is associated with is a guaranteed positive experience...especially the Issac Bell series.

Every book written by James A. Michener is a must read for both historical and story telling excellence.

SIDE BAR

The book I just finished, which motivated this "article" is called 
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikery by Gabrielle Zevin.
Highly recommended reading if you love books and still enjoy visiting bookstores.

Please rest assured that classic fictional writers should be visited at least once or twice a year and for me to list those writers would take way too much time......but if you haven't read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings then you need to start right there.  The art of telling a story from imagination has never been better presented and J.R. Tolkien sits alone when it comes to defining fantasy.  It helps if you take an hallucinogenic and climb a mountain or two during the reading or just after finishing.
The more remote...the better.

And of course Rudyard Kipling, both stories and poems, should be required reading...PERIOD.
Charles Dickens to understand a time period and Edgar Allen Poe just to understand clouds in the mind.

By the way I had to listen to David Foster Wallace Infinite Jest instead of reading it just because.......and is it a great book?  My opinion is that it is a PIECE OF WORK.   Make up your own mind about what that means. It's funny how we just accept his suicide if we've experienced that book.

I would like to tell you that I've read James Joyce novels cover to cover but then I would be lying like everyone else on the planet.

After all is said and done.....If one were making a list of required reading for a 15 year old......I think my list would first start with everything Michener wrote.  With his genius for historical research and wonderful story telling reading would simply become part of that person's nature.

I've said it before and I'll say it one more time.......the one truth I've fully accepted regarding human beings is.....we love to tell a story......and then some of us love to read those stories and we do it to learn more about the human experience....so we can attempt to write about it in a manner that sometimes makes sense, or at the very least makes the thought process.......expand.

I've been trying for thought expansion for as long as I can remember.

Only you can tell if I'm achieving my goal.

On Valentine's day in 2014 somehow Kitty Litter was being used to blot up liquids in a sealed drum and the chemical compound resulted in the lid being blown off of ONE drum and sent a white cloud of radioactive material into the air, and 35% of the underground area became contaminated.

The Energy Department goes out of their way to sugarcoat anything having to do with Nuclear problems.

A major issue is that the Los Alamos site is a storage facility for nuclear waste from other Nuclear Power Plants....and the ventilation system won't be fixed until 2021.

Thousands of tons of waste from Idaho, Washington, New Mexico and elsewhere are now backed up with no place to go.

According to Federal sources 277,000 drums are suppose to be sent to the damaged dump site.

One of the misleading parts of the story is the cost of cleanup.  The Energy Department uses numbers like $2 billion for Three Mile Island cleanup.  

THE COST CANNOT BE DETERMINED until everything is cleaned up.  From what I know about nuclear radioactivity, cleaned up shouldn't even be a usable term

but what part of this story doesn't sound like a joke.

I claim that there's an agreement between the press and the politicians never to bring this subject up at a debate or a press conference....because there is NO POSITIVE ANSWER.  My friend Tom claims that the lack of information regarding this area is due to the reduction of investigative reporters by print and broadcast media.

The article in the Times by Ralph Vartabedian states "that radioactive contamination at other nuclear weapons sites is costing TENS of BILLIONS of dollars to clean up BUT it is generally the result of deliberate practices such as dumping nuclear waste into the ground."

Nuclear energy is the most expensive energy, by leaps and bounds, when you add everything up.
Fixing problems is part of the cost and nothing comes close when you total the bottom line of Nuclear Energy.

It's appalling that WE, as human beings, allow this type of damage to continue being done on a global basis.

We have a magnificent ball of perfect nuclear energy sitting 93,000,000 miles away that can power anything and everything and we constantly hear that  Solar Energy is too expensive.

And I'm still waiting for someone to bring up the Nuclear Waste problem at a Presidential news conference or debate.

And I will continue to wait and wait and wait and wait........

Trump

Simply put.....I don't really have to dump on Trump because every time he opens his mouth he does it to himself.

Seriously.

Maybe if he completely stopped talking until November he might only lose by 8 points.

At this rate he's looking at a double digit defeat to a person who is generally unlikable in her own right.

His only hope is that no minorities or women show up to vote.

I can't wait to hear his explanations for why he lost and I guess it already started with the "rigging" comment.

Back to the Olympics......

Amazing

Since last Saturday we've seen the fastest humans  on land and in the water.

The fastest in history.

Mr. Phelps and Mr. Bolt, with the edge going to Michael because of the amount of swims needed to achieve what he's achieved.

Michael Phelps is the greatest Olympic athlete in history, which might make him the greatest athlete PERIOD.

Ussain Bolt is the fastest human being on the planet.......and has been for 12 years.

BOTH OF THESE GUYS WILL BE LESS THAN 35 YEARS OLD IN 2020....just saying.

I would suggest getting a head start on reading about them because there never seems to be enough time when you pick up the ballot the night before you vote in order to find out where your polling place is.

17 has to be some kind of record but I'm not sure so instead of doing the research I'm just leaving it up to you....which probably means you will pick up your smart phone and ask Siri....and by now you have the answer.

By the way, odd piece of trivia......the day after Siri went live, Steve Jobs died.

The smart phone revolution has indeed allowed people to access information that before they just ignored.  So the end result is that people now know a lot of things they don't really care about....but gives them the ability to extend a conversation.  Some people, and everybody knows more than one, simply ignore the conversation and drift off into SPH (smart phone hell) and get lost and sometimes
don't actually return to the physical exchange taking place right next to them.

BACK TO THE 17 MEASURES
Ballot measure 64 is the third shot for legalization of Pot......and last week one of the Kennedy clan came out and said he was putting 2 million into defeating the measure.  He was holding a gin and tonic in one hand and a Bud light in the other.

The alcohol lobby will probably add another 50 million to the anti-64 cause.

I'm not sure the Tobacco guys will complain because they must be planning to grow pot the second it's approved.  My guess is that they are already cultivating because of Colorado, Washington and Oregon....and besides they will probably be spending millions to fight Prop 56 which is a tax increase on ciggies.

It appears that 64 will pass this time because the tax revenue generated seems to large to ignore.

Our Gov, Jerry Brown, hasn't voiced his opinion yet....and since his previous nickname was "Moonbeam" I assume he's in the yes column but since he was Jesuit trained there is always the guilt factor to be considered.  Catholic guilt can rear it's ugly head on almost every social issue.

Prop 63 will bring out the big bucks from the NRA and every person who interprets the 2nd Amendment in a way that allows bat shit crazy people to own a firearm.  I realize that not everyone who owns a gun is bat shit crazy but when the not bat shit crazy people defend EVERYONE'S RIGHT TO OWN A GUN.....I WONDER.

By the way our next Governor, Gavin Newsom, introduced Prop 63.

SO....as you contemplate the two most unpopular people who have ever run for President...please consider reading the extensive ballot measures well before the night before you vote.

And then there is the list of Judges that are on every ballot....and you choose someone because you like their name.  Those Judges might be the most important people on the ballots and no one knows anything about them except for some lawyers and some criminals....and their immediate family and friends.

Radical Islam and why the term should be used by President Obama

I voted for Barack Obama and I think he has been the perfect person to follow the eight years of a George Bush/Dick Cheney administration.  His intelligence and oratory ability makes the previous President seem like a little spoiled kid...of which he probably was.

Having made that point clear I wish to establish that I'm not in total agreement with everything he says.

The concept of a democracy is that each and everyone of us reach conclusions for governmental behavior based on how much we learn, and then we choose people to represent us in various governmental positions.

One, and there have been far too many to note, of the major complaints that Obama's opposition have been stating for awhile is.....HE REFUSES TO USE THE TERM "RADICAL ISLAM" when talking about any terrorists attack anywhere in the world....and because they are front and center in most current attacks he doesn't want the Islamic State to hear the President of The United States say those two words together while referring to their acts of terror.

HE DOES CALL THEIR ACTIONS "ACTS OF TERROR AND ACTS OF HATE"....but will not use the term Radical with Islam.

He claims he doesn't want to give the various terrorists groups what they want....and that what they want is for their specific group to be linked with the entire Islamic faith....of which there are 1.4 billion followers. I intellectually understand his reasoning until I try to explain it to someone else and then I stumble and pause because the logic of his reasoning does not hold water in my mental cauldron.....

I WOULD THINK THE NON-RADICAL ISLAMIC FOLLOWERS, OF WHICH I HOPE ARE 95 PERCENT OF THE RELIGION, WOULD LIKE AND PREFER THE SEPARATION MADE CLEAR.  

CLARITY IS ACHIEVED BY UNDERSTANDING AND UNDERSTANDING IS ACHIEVED BY VERBAL EXPLANATIONS OF BEHAVIOR.   

PHYSICAL ACTIONS ARE THE RESULT OF FIRST LEARNING AND THEN THINKING AND THEN RESPONDING.

RADICAL BEHAVIOR, BASED ON A RELIGIOUS BELIEF, IS GENERATED BY SOMETHING WRITTEN DOWN ON EITHER PAPER OR STONE AND CONDENSED INTO AN ENTITY, GENERALLY REFERRED TO AS A .....BOOK.

(in the last 50 years that has changed dramatically but we can agree that most problems being created by religious belief systems pre-date the invention of the computer)

very closely......knowing that humans are a very young species....and being extremely busy creating more and more galaxies and souls....it's probably a million or so years before looking back and checking us out.

I hope by then SHE likes what she sees.........

Is BREXIT the best word to use and do you know the real name of the UK?

I get the first two letters of Britain combined with exit to create Brexit but it seems that since "they" like to be referred to as the United Kingdom, which by the way seems to an entirely different problem, maybe there is a better word.

Keep in Mind that there are no standard rules when creating an acronym....and since exit is fully incorporated in the new word this can't be an acronym.
It simply becomes a new word for Webster's to consider.

Actually it's already a word first coined in 2012 when the current situation was initially discussed in Parliament.

With all the new testing abbreviations being created 
communication rules are vanishing.

If you get your point across...ES........enough said....or nufsaid.........or of course.....word.

So let's play a pinch and find something perhaps a bit better......(say that with a London accent please)

By the way....the official name of the Country is.....

I do think it's bit odd that the new political face of our previous landlord goes to the same hairstylist as Donald Trump.

I'm wondering how much the word union has to do with why The Donald approves of the vote?
The Republican Party has historically been anti-union and when one considers how union membership has shrunk in the last 50 years I'd say they've done a fine job.  The right wingers throughout the world might not be so hostile if it had been called.......

Follow up and more madness

Yesterday after posting the Death of Idealism piece that I wrote in 1972, I have to admit that there is slight touch of some unabomber rhetoric involved in that short piece..... but a few things to keep in mind.  No violence/no war/no physical hostility of any kind coming forth from this author....and after reviewing the unabomber scenario it's quite obvious that he had way too much math in his head. That's something I will never have to worry about....and then there were the experiments.

And speaking of mental health problems, the incident in Orlando points out various candidates.

One of the strangest aspects of this insane act of horror is the amount of people who are complaining that Obama doesn't use the word terrorists......or point out that this is another incident of Radical Islam.

The President clearly said "act of terror and act of hate" because not only was the killer creating terror but he was targeting a specific group....in this case, the gay community.

Of course the people who are nit-picking the President's words will never say anything against the assault rifles used in the massacre.

I said this about three months ago.....
THESE TYPE OF WEAPONS NEED TO BE BUILT WITH GPS DEVICES SO SOMEONE ALWAYS KNOWS WHERE THERE ARE AND IF THEY ARE ON THE MOVE.

Why does anyone need a military assault weapon unless they plan on carrying out an assault.  

Apparently the asshole worked for a private security firm so purchasing these type of weapons is quick and easy.  

The private security firm he worked for has to completely reevaluate their hiring process and vetting techniques.

The FBI  investigated the dickhead (I won't ever type his name) TWICE since 2013.

If it turns out that the asshole is a supporter of the Islamic State then at least there is a reason.  It's not a good reason but it's a reason.  We are at war with ISIS, ISIL, or whatever you want to call them.  We, and the coalition of 60 nations, have dropped 12,000 bombs on them in the last 12 months.

PARIS, SAN BERNARDINO AND NOW ORLANDO are terrorist attacks by individuals who claim allegiance to a radical wing of a religious organization that is trying to grow throughout the middle east and Africa.

IF THE SHOOTING WAS DONE BECAUSE OF HUMAN BEINGS BEING GAY....THEN THAT IS NOT A REASON.

THAT IS SIMPLY HATE OF SOMEONE WHO IS DIFFERENT

THERE IS NO REASON BEHIND THAT MOTIVATION

NO LOGIC, NO REASON AND MOST OF ALL......NO LOVE.

                                                  Death of Idealism

    As we, The United States of America, approach the bi-centennial celebration of this great and diligent but far too many times decadent nation, it appears the time is at hand to execute our powers of foresight instead of only hindsight.

     How often has a person been belittled because of an idealistic point of view?  And how often has the idealist been forced to suppress a dream in order to escape ridicule of even the closest peer group?

     Idealism has been all but replaced by pragmatic material observation and action, by non-spiritual minds not interested in the perfection of society but instead in the wealth of individuals, in the wealth of it's possessions and in its powers of policy making and law enforcing.

   The powers of idealism that were present in the construction of our government have been transcended into oblivion by greed and the profit motive.  I do believe that the profit motive initiative of a a free enterprise system is still the healthiest form of economic application known to the world, but only when that application is incorporated along side a high moral content; an individual moral content on the part of each and every person working and living in a given society.

          This country in 1972 has failed on that level.

   The death of idealism is a sad and unwanted death by many conscientious citizens, but a death that seems unpreventable in the face of our present economic and political ideology.

  
  The death of idealism came about not because of a lack of idealists, but because with all the pragmatic reasoning behind making a quick dollar an easier answer appeared. And those who held high moral values fell prey to the necessities that seem to engulf each and everyone involved in an economically  competitive system.  To be highly idealistic in this age usually means to be financially unsuccessful and that symbolic mark is one that no socially orientated person wants hanging on their door.

      I wish to go one step further and say that unless idealism is given a re-birth and a chance to re-enter the main stream of American life, the pragmatic slobs of this nation will bury themselves and all moralistic citizens with them.

     The dream of living a  life full of contentment while maintaining great rapport with fellow citizens is not a false dream.  It is simply a dream that has been placed far down the list of priorities.  If that dream where adhered to then fair play and honesty would have to follow, and imagine the mess this country would be in if fair play and honesty were the code of the land.  Everything would have to be swept away and started anew; everything would have to be steam cleaned, redefined, reevaluated and perspectives of our future would have to be totally reconstructed.

     My question is this.....can't a rebirth take place on the personal level and can't the individuals place themselves above the obvious political maneuvering that only seem to benefit those who are in positions of power?

      Apparently a rebirth of ideals and honor will not take place in the higher levels of government so the only choice for actual change must rest in the hands of the citizens: in the hands of the dreamers who know what is right or wrong, lasting vs. momentary. It's time that insightful God-loving people need not be quieted by the more corrupt methods of application but instead need to start believing in themselves as true creators of this great countries destiny.

Try to remember how the Right Wing operates before you land on the wrong runway.

Some of you might be too young to know how the right wing of politics conducts their business...and others might just forget, or simply not believe, the extreme measures taken to win an election or discredit an opponent.

Long before Karl Rove entered the picture we had a guy in the White House who turned out to be the most paranoid politician in history. How the Richard Nixon "team" behaved is legendary and the players involved solidified their places in history without me naming names and repeating stories that can be researched in any library. Imagine for one second the things we don't know and didn't learn from testimonies and recordings.  Their attitude toward the rival party was borderline psychotic....and that type of behavior has to be created from the top down.

God only knows when Richard Nixon's paranoia first started to manifest itself.  It might have been during the McCarthy hearings in 1954 when he was Vice-President.

One cannot easily dismiss the anti-communist agenda that permeated our political culture in the 50's, 60's 70's and 80's....but in the 1950's there was a special type of anxiety regarding communism because of their (and our) development of Nuclear weapons.  The race was on to see who could make the most ultimate weapons of mass destruction. The Cold War existed until the Soviet Union financially collapsed in December of 1991.  But as with most things the beginnings are always a bit more intense and with both countries thinking that Nuclear attacks were imminent, paranoia run especially deep.

Communism isn't completely a political dinosaur but with the advent of the information highway, economic improvements and the ability of individuals to achieve financial success, the two largest purveyors of that system, Russia and China, are not resembling what Karl Marx had in mind.

North Korea appears to be the only serious communist country left and at last sighting they were pretty much considered batshit crazy.  Which is not a good thing but even their closest neighbor and supposed friend, China, seems to have a serious and watchful eye on their behavior.

You might have noticed that I deviated away from GOP political shenanigans but when I explain how that is an actual technique used by the right wing, than maybe you will begin to understand.

IT'S A SLIGHT OF HAND MANEUVER.....look over here at this thing I'm doing and you won't notice what I'm really doing over here.

The problem is that it's not a physical slight of hand but it's a  slight of MIND and IDEAS.

Currently we have a man who is apparently the GOP nominee for President of The United States who knows exactly how to divert your attention from reality.  (well, maybe not yours....but millions of others at this juncture)

HE KEEPS REPEATING THAT HE IS "GOING TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."

AMERICA IS GREAT......and everyday we look around the world and realize how lucky we truly are to be here.....and we note very quickly that there's a very long line of people attempting to join us.

Of course Canadians and Findlandians might disagree, but let's see how they operate with 400 million people.  It's always a numbers game when it comes right down to it.  And that applies to big numbers and small numbers.  China was growing with unchecked prosperity and then opps.  And by the way how often to you hear about Americans traveling to China for their college educations?  UCLA probably has more Chinese students than China has Americans....period.  (Traveling there on business doesn't count)

HE KEEPS TELLING US THAT "OUR MILITARY IS WEAK AND DEPLETED."

OUR MILITARY IS SO VASTLY SUPERIOR THAT IT'S SILLY....and he knows that most people won't research the facts regarding our military superiority.  And please note it is not a valid point when you ask a General or the President of a munitions company if our military is weak....and please tell me that you understand why that's not valid.

DON'T MAKE ME EXPLAIN IT!

HE KEEPS REPEATING THAT HE "WILL BUILD A WALL."

I have to give Hillary a little salvo here....last night in her wrapping up the delegates speech 
she said...."America is about building bridges not walls."

HE KEEPS SAYING THAT "OBAMA HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE PRESIDENT."

THE NUMBERS INDICATING A FINANCIAL RECOVERY FROM 2008 SHOW THAT NOT ONLY HAS BARRY BEEN GOOD, IT MIGHT TURN OUT TO BE .....THAT HE HAS BEEN GREAT.  

HE KEEPS SAYING "THAT HE WILL DEFEAT ISIS."

President Obama's method of fighting ISIS is to incorporate a collation....and while it might be taking longer, the plan, at the very least, has multiple countries involved in the effort.

THE TACTICS BEING USED BY DONALD TRUMP ARE NO DIFFERENT THAT WHAT RICHARD NIXON DID IN 1968 WHEN HE SAID THAT AMERICA NEEDED MORE LAW AND ORDER 
when in truth....IT WAS ASSHOLES LIKE RICHARD NIXON THAT WERE CAUSING THE PROBLEMS.

WE'VE HAD ASSHOLES IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND IT NEVER TURNED OUT GOOD.

DONALD TRUMP IS AN ASSHOLE 
AND EVEN PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT HIM ACKNOWLEDGE THAT FACT......but they follow it up with "we need a tough guy in the White House not some pansy."

We need brains in the White House not a nutty narcissist who actually thinks that his hair looks good....and you know it's true.......he likes the way his hair looks and he thinks that orange is the new blond.

All I'm trying to say is.....during the upcoming Presidential election please do some minor research whenever someone starts throwing out their opinion.

The man was bigger than sports

It is not often that a sports figure deserves the reverence that is being directed toward Muhammad Ali but he truly transcended his chosen field of boxing.

He simply was the most recognizable human being on the planet....and I think that truth has existed since he went to Zaire to battle George Foreman in 1974.   He was already a world figure but that "event" solidified his global identity.

There are so many ways to view his life, but the one thing I seem to know, that no one else does......

HE NEVER THREW A BODY PUNCH

EVERY PUNCH WAS DIRECTED AT HIS OPPONENTS HEAD.

I defy anyone to find one punch that he threw to any area of the body that wasn't above the neck...and you can pull up video's of almost every fight he had.

We shared some similar ideals regarding war and the military.

I had the honor of shaking his hand in 1978 and looked directly into his eyes......his soul

Harambe,Trump and a few other primates

Primates of different shapes, sizes and brain capacity captured the attention of most media outlets over the last few days.

The weekend started  Friday on the Bill Maher show when Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, a comic strip syndicated in hundreds of newspapers, explained how Donald( Adolph) Trump is using techniques that are utilized in hypnotism...and also displayed by the most famous dictators in history.

If you think back to the beginning of the GOP debates he virtually has done nothing except name calling and belittling everything and everyone.  

AND APPARENTLY THAT'S ALL IT TAKES TO GET MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO SUPPORT HIS ATTEMPT TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

I suggest listening to the interview more than once just to let it sink in.  The beta testing idea to see if his "style" plays well before moving on to the big crowds just freaks me out.

I realize that politicians have always used certain techniques to sway a voter's mind but it usually gets defined as SPIN or BS. With Donald Trump we have to remember that he's not a politician and he is simply a celebrity who is using concise short phrases of HATE to energize people and then always ends the negative dribble with " AND I'M GOING TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."

This type of behavior cannot be accepted in the year 2016.......even if 70% of the American public is regarded as "uninformed" once they hear the explanation they will awaken. They might not run out and start reading the old masters and studying Quantum Mechanics but they will recognize that someone very dangerous is trying to control their minds and therefore control their actions.   

And the only action he wants controlled is a check, or a chad punch, in a very small box on November 8 2016.

Yesterday Jerry Brown endorsed Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders.  He basically said that her lead was too big and that it's time for the Democratic party to unite for the general election in Nov. which he also explained is already underway because Trump is the GOP candidate and he is on the campaign trail.

I'm a bit disappointed in Mr. Moonbeam because it just proves that while being identified as a liberal politician he's part of that secondary liberal hierarchy which not only includes the Clinton's....but is most likely is run by the Clinton's.

Bernie Sanders is a legitimate first string liberal and has proven his substance regarding issues of the left since he first started in politics.

Have you forgotten what true issues of the left are about?   Don't feel bad.  As the years go by we settle in and adopt methods of behavior that allow us to not only survive but blend in without too much hostility.  (in case you are wondering...the main theme of being liberal is caring about what happens to EVERYBODY)

I'm pretty sure Jerry Brown has drifted so far to the center of the aisle that he no longer sees the need for believing in issues that drove him while he was Governor the first time in 1974, at the age of 36.

He had a chance to rekindle his liberal legacy and finish his political career with a flourish.
Had he not thrown Bernie under the bus, one week before the California Primary, those of us who supported him over the years would have spoken highly of him.

AND NOW TO THE IMPORTANT ISSUE OF THE DAY

WHAT , WHO AND WHY DID EVERYTHING HAPPENED THE WAY IT DID AT THE CINCINNATI ZOO ON SUNDAY?

The debate seems to be regarding who was responsible?

I lost my son Sean in 1981 in the infield of the Santa Anita Race Track when he was 3 years old.

There was a space set aside for kids to play with swings and slides and all that good stuff.  I was sitting on a bench about 20 feet away when he started to come down the slide.....I looked down at the racing form and studied a horse for about 20 seconds.....I looked up and HE WAS GONE.

THE PANIC WAS EXTREME........IT WAS A FAMILY OUTING AND THE NEXT 15 MINUTES WERE HORRIFIC.  AFTER FINDING A SECURITY GUARD AND TELLING HIM WHAT SEAN WAS WEARING AND WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE WE ALL SPREAD OUT WITH EXTREME ANXIETY.

 AT ONE POINT I RAN TO THE OUTSIDE PARKING LOT LOOKING FOR THE KIDNAPPERS, CLIMBED UP ON A CAR AND SURVEYED THE ENTIRE LOT BEFORE JUMPING DOWN AND RUNNING BACK INTO THE INFIELD AREA.

I APPROACHED ANOTHER GUARD WHO WAS ON HIS RADIO AND STARTED TO EXPLAIN WHEN HE SAID THERE WAS A LITTLE BOY AT THE GUARD STATION AND SHOWED ME THE DIRECTION....I STARTED RUNNING.  

WALKING TOWARD ME WAS A SECURITY GUARD AND MY SON.  THE GUARD HAD SEAN'S HAND AND THE MOMENT OF EXTREME PANIC ENDED.

Sean explained that he came down the slide and didn't see anyone he knew and went to find a policeman to help him locate his parents and his grandparents. The goofy part of the story is that he found a guard right next to the play area and the guard immediately took him to the guard station which was on the other side of the infield.  I asked the guy, after thanking him, why he didn't stay in the immediate area for a few more seconds and he said there was official protocol to follow and he was just doing his job.

A VERY IMPORTANT FACT TO NOTE AT THIS JUNCTURE....

ONLY PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT INCIDENT IS TYPING THIS STORY RIGHT NOW.

Those parents of that little boy at that Zoo in Cincinnati are fully responsible for what happened.

What's probably going to happen next is that they will sue the Zoo for mental anguish and receive $5 million....and the Zoo will have to close because animals rights protesters will start trying to have all gorillas put back into the wild and then the gorilla hunters will have a green light and within ten years there wouldn't be Silverback Gorilla's left on the planet and ALL BECAUSE TWO DIPSHIT PARENTS WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION.

TAKE IT FROM A DIPSHIT....I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

The other odd part of the story is gorilla's are advanced primates and they are vegetarians so that wasn't a problem.  
The video seems to indicate that Harambe, the 400 pound patriarch of the enclosed gorilla clan, couldn't quite figure out how the little gorilla lost all his hair and muscles.  

At one point you see him feel the child's arms and legs and maybe even his private parts......he seems baffled....but he seems protective.  I realize that he dragged him through the water but with all the people yelling and screaming he might have assumed that an attack was about to happen.

When you read stories about gorilla's in captivity, that have been taught 1000 words in sign language, you have to wonder why Harambe didn't have an interpreter close at hand.  Someone at that Zoo is very depressed today because they know they could have done something to save him.  He was 17 which turns out to be about half a life span for that breed.  He was also the father of a clan that included seven other members.  Those other gorilla's are also very confused right now and they better get a another big boy in that compound so the ladies can have a new leader.

One last point.....are you trying to tell me that we don't have a SEDATIVE that will instantly stop a 400 pound gorilla?

we have 30,000 Nuclear warheads available to wipe out the entire human population?
