Military was prepped and now is responding....are you getting nervous yet?

When our new President presented his annual budget with a military spending increase of 58 BILLION dollars it just seemed logical that weapons usage would increase. ( Keep in mind that the previous administration had dropped 25,000 bombs on ISIS held territory in the last 16 months)

A week ago 59 Cruise Missiles were used in response to a chemical attack in Syria.  That chemical attack is being attributed to Bashar al Assad and the missiles were directed at an airbase controlled by Syria, from which they (everybody except Syria and Russia) say the chemical attack was launched.

There appears to be questions about who actually used the chemical weapons.  I sure hope this isn't one of those tactics used to misdirect.  A few days seems awfully quick to respond.  I would have thought some deeper investigation necessary  before launching missiles.

There's obviously a huge difference between bombs and missiles.  And since we've never seen a video of the 25,000 bombs dropped by the previous administration and there was an immediate video of the missiles being launched from our ships in the Mediterranean I'd say that's a huge policy shift.

The weapons manufacturers probably like to show their stock holders where their revenue is generated.....and our President, who actually lives in Florida, in case you haven't been paying attention, is a bit of a braggart so basically it's showtime.  And it's going to get louder and louder until someone steps in and says.........ENOUGH!  I'm pretty sure that someone has to be the American people.


Then two days ago our government dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used on a remote mountainous region in Afghanistan. That bomb is called the MOAB....with the nickname being Mother of all bombs.

 
The next day there was an actual video showing the MOAB cloud as it detonated.

It appears that we are entering a new phase of live action coverage....which resembles an old phase that I recall from the Vietnam time period.  Those nightly video's of the war in South-East Asia were fundamental in helping to establish  a vocal opposition to not only that war but war in general.

Perhaps the Nobel Peace prize President from Chicago understood that principle and therefore didn't allow media coverage of all the bombs being dropped on ISIS held territory.  You know there are video's of every single one of the 25,000 bombs dropped by the US led coalition....but have you ever seen even one?  Ten years from now they will be shown on the History Channel.

Oh and by the way......apparently Russia has the Father of all bombs called The FOAB, which they say is considerably larger that The MOAB.

I'm thinking that there's a good chance we might see a video of that big daddy some time in the very near future. 

Tit for tat and so on and so forth.

Our President did say, during the election process, that he would bomb the *%#! out of ISIS and I always thought it was odd to ignore the fact that Obama was already bombing the *%#! out of them.  I guess our new leader simply meant that he would be using bigger bombs.

And so I simply ask......what's the next size weapon to be used?

And then we have this other new development......

WASHINGTON — The commander of American forces in the Pacific has ordered an aircraft carrier and several other warships toward the Korean Peninsula in a show of force by the Trump administration just days after North Korea tested another intermediate-range missile.

The officer, Adm. Harry B. Harris Jr., the head of the military’s Pacific Command, diverted the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson and its wing of fighter jets from a planned series of exercises and port calls in Australia, the command said in a statement. The Vinson and three guided-missile destroyers and cruisers steamed out of Singapore on Saturday for their new mission in the Western Pacific.

(April 19th update) Apparently this "armada" wasn't doing what the White House originally reported......and then yesterday the article in LA TIMES said it was moving toward the Sea of Japan so your guess is as good as any. time for personal research. Let's call Bill O'Reilly.....he's got some time on his hands.

 The problem with North Korea vs ISIS is that the leader of North Korea actually has an army with uniforms and tanks, a Navy with ships, an Air Force with planes and last by not least.....an undisclosed amount of Nuclear weapons.....oh and did I forget to mention that that leader is bat-s**t crazy.  Add that mix to a population of 26 million people that appear to be undernourished and all dress the same and you have a recipe for a major horror story.  My guess is that if you live in North Korea and you aren't in the military....you will be soon.

It seems we've relied on China to keep NORTH KOREA in check but from all indications China has no idea  how to  put limitations on the ETERNAL PRESIDENT, Kim Sung 111, or Jr or whatever he likes to be called. Even a scarier thought is that China doesn't want to limit Jr's behavior.  Maybe they like the war machine that North Korea has become....and the reason they like it is because they know whose side they will be on when the ultimate s**t hits the fan.

I'm not predicting that the ultimate s**t will hit the fan but allowing a certain type of personality  to be in charge of the most powerful military that the planet has ever known and then letting that person convince the general population that the military needs to be stronger and  bigger just doesn't seem like a scenario with a reasonable or peaceful ending.

I think back to those wonderful cold war times when only two countries had Nuclear capabilities.....

Where's Elvis when you need him? 

Oh yeah I forgot......he was also a military guy.

Those of us who aren't military minded just seem to be totally outnumbered. 

I sure hope those of you are are military minded have a clue on how all this is suppose work out without f**king up the entire planet....or more specifically, the entire human race. 

I think it's really important to elect calm, rational  and highly intelligent people  to positions of power and authority.....but that's just me.

THE WAKE-UP CALL

I was 22 years old in 1968 when I heard the FNPWUCA

First National Political Wake-Up Call Alarm

The undercurrent of tension had been semi-soft since November 22, 1963 and then following the MLK and RFK murders the vibration and intensity increased substantially and on November 5 1968 the sound became something that wasn't going to subside anytime soon. The music got louder and the parties and gatherings got longer and the drugs got more colorful and then the campus protests became more frequent following the 1968 Presidential election.

Richard M. Nixon received 302 Electoral College votes 

and 
Hubert H. Humphrey received 191.   

THAT WAS A WAKE-UP CALL for so many young people not only in America but around the world, regarding how the people in power were being allowed to carry out their agenda due to overwhelming support from the American voting public.

As the internal awakening of the youth movement on campuses increased and the White House's paranoid agenda strengthened, especially regarding law and order, and as our involvement in South-east Asia intensified, the Peace Movement protests grew in sizable numbers with the tension reaching  an horrific  peak on May 4th 1970 when four students were gunned down at Kent State.

Suddenly the Peace rallies were less peaceful and the paranoia from within the Administration became epic until all we heard was a call for restoring Law and Order throughout the land.  Richard Nixon was attempting to strangle all forms of protest through whatever means possible and historical documents uphold that recorded paranoia (except for the infamous 18 minutes) but first another election was upon us and George McGovern was hosting the Democrats banner of peace and hoping to strengthen the Progressive movement, which at the time was simply referred to as being the Liberal left....or f**king commies and dirty hippies, depending on who was talking.

THE NEXT DECIBEL LEVEL OF THE WAKE-UP CALL CAME ON NOVEMBER 7, 1972

Richard M Nixon....................521 Electoral College votes
George Stanley McGovern.......17 

The shock waves reverberated throughout every true liberal heart and soul in America and since the Electoral College vote was so lopsided it had to indicate only one thing.....the liberal or Progressive movement in America was virtually crushed.....almost into oblivion.  

Ironically the county I lived in, Marin County, was one of McGovern's victory areas. I often refer to how out of touch we were in Marin due to the simple fact that everybody in that county was positive McGovern was going to kick Nixon's ass.

From the election of 1972 to the resignation in 1974 Richard Nixon's entire agenda was an attempt to ward off the bad press, the odd stories of paranoia, the resignations of his inner circle cohorts and to quiet a very loud and foucsed wake-up call.

It was extremely loud....
and it basically was saying....."don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out."

I'M ALREADY HEARING THAT TYPE OF WAKE UP CALL REGARDING OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT, WHO HAS ONLY BEEN IN THE WHITE HOUSE FOR A LITTLE OVER 2 MONTHS.

I'M PRETTY SURE THE SOUND IS LOUDER or at least as loud as ANYTIME DURING PRESIDENT NIXON'S FIRST TERM.

And it's not going to get quieter anytime soon because every single day decisions are made that simply wake people up  (and many of those people supported The Donald) to the reality that not only is he out of his element but that his people are hell bent on ignoring anything having to do with creating a safer, cleaner, compassionate future for America.  The denial of scientific information adds its own unique decibel level to the wake-up call.

The only question is will the wake-up call be answered before the mid-term elections in 2018 or will it be answered even sooner?

WAKE-UP calls cannot be ignored forever......no matter how hard one tries to block out the obvious reality.

(It's always struck me funny how oblivious and obvious look so similar with just a little li creating the difference)

I personally hear the rooster quite well and even if someone chops off his head and has a tasty BBQ chicken dinner......there are millions and millions more roosters.....and it looks like they might be gathering together for one extremely loud.......

Neo-Illumination #14.......

For those of you who read Mind Jazz and don't know about Neo-Illumination I can't really blame anyone but myself.  It's been 15 years since they stopped (except for one that might or might not be one that appeared about six years ago) and I'm always very cautious when talking to people I don't know about them, even though certain individual messages do get mentioned on a regular basis depending of course on the situation.

There has never been a single time when all of them have been discussed at the same time.

During my The Other God Particles art show in September of 2014 each one was separated from the artwork and placed in between the work I was showing.  I have yet to frame any of the original Neo-Illumination art pieces and watching myself write these words truly gives me pause.

WTF is the matter with me?

Last Saturday night I went to Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, which is an art complex that houses over 30 galleries, with the sole intention of attending an opening of a new gallery called Beyond The Lines, owned and curated by Brittany Davis.

At that opening I encountered a very interesting artist whose work I respected and felt very relaxed while viewing....and when an abstract artist creates work that generates a feeling of relaxation I regard that as a very good thing.  Her name is Brigit Bell Ritchie and I look forward to watching her career unfold.

Neo-Illumination came up in my conversation with Brigit's husband Noah and the fact that I was talking about it in public might be why I'm writing about it now. 


I had stopped at the gallery a few days earlier because it was two doors down from one of my favorite stores in the Los Angeles.  The store, Hiromi, a hand made Washi paper store, had moved to Culver City after 20 years due of the increased rents being charged by the new owners of the complex...along with four or more other galleries that had been there for years.  I was slightly bummed because it means I'll have to travel south of Santa Monica at some time in the near future.  I prefer traveling north of the 10 Freeway and in fact the further north I go the better my skin feels.....it's a negative ion thing that actually exist.....maybe.....but again that's another topic for another time.

The light rail system running from Los Angles to the pier in Santa Monica has a Bergamot Station station and the new landlords obviously have the concept that the station will make increased traffic for the complex. Unless they do some drastic advertising and visual improvements to the building I'm not sure their conceptual theories will be achieved.

The city of Santa Monica seems to have total artistic control over what is allowed and not allowed regarding improvements to the property.

At this point you might be asking yourself....what the hell does any of this have to do with Neo-Illumination #14.

Relax....it's my story and I'll tell it my way and hopefully everything will make sense.....or it won't, and then what difference did it make anyway?  Everything about my life makes perfect sense or it doesn't.
That's one thing for sure most of us have in common. 

What I will do is post Neo-Illumination #14 and then get back to how it actually became a heading on Mind Jazz for the first time since I started writing this blog in 2006.

Now, you might notice two things....everytime is not an actual word but that's the way it was written when it arrived and if you can't figure out how to look past that type of grammatical variance then your issues run so deeply in another direction that this might be a time to stop reading and go to Costco or Ikea or maybe see a movie.....Kong might be the one to see even though somehow they spent 200 million dollars and didn't think it was a good idea to give the heroine blond hair.  HUH?

Second thing to notice on #14..........the big IF.
The big IF applies to anything regarding non-physical reality, of which we have written about many times, and yet the concept of non-physical reality continues to be an enormous big IF....which makes the concept of Soul Awareness an IF the size of Detroit.

Things that are hidden inside the world of Quantum Mechanics don't count as non-physical realities because they are new physical realities that we continue to learn about. 

Love is generally a noun that promotes a type of behavior that falls well within the boundaries of physical reality. When regarding language we encounter many words that explain emotional, rational and even mathematical awareness.

SOUL AWARENESS is not regarded as an actual thing when one looks in the dictionary.  I'm from the school that thinks it should be one word....

Soulawarenss........and yes I do admit that it seems to be a rather small school at this point in time.

I will suggest that you take a minute and read the first definition of SOUL in your dictionary of choice.  I use the New World Dictionary and it's an actual blue book that I hold in my hand and turn the pages.  Probably not your choice but most likely neither is the term old school relevant to you on any level.
The words no physical or material reality.....

and is extremely weird for something that might not exist....but that really is another story so let's get back to the elusive and always.....
NOW.  
                     
Since 2/3/1994 the words joy and happiness have been sequestered to a certain part of my brain that might sneak a peak outward every so often but for the most part remain hidden behind a facade of theatrical behavior created to make others feel less bummed out when contemplating what had happened on that day in 1994.  Acting is not my profession but I think I do a pretty good job of pretending from time to time and so maybe acting is my hobby.
If you checked with close friends of mine they might tell you that from time to time I've seemed happy and I've displayed moments that appear to contain joy.

Since I've analyzed Neo-Illumination #14 quite a few times and have come to accept the reality that love can follow suffering everytime if soul awareness has been properly developed I still realize that properly developing soul awareness is a true challenge.  

What in the world does properly mean when applied to developing soul awareness?
What in the world does the word properly mean when applied to any type of spiritual or non-physical reality awareness?

And therein lies the rub, so to speak.

I know one thing for absolute certainty......

Soul Awareness is an individual challenge and no one person can tell another person how to develop that awareness.  If you go back and read #14 again, you will notice that the statement isn't explaining how...it's simply saying that if it is done then Love can follow suffering....everytime.

I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IF THE SOUL EXIST THEN OUR LINK TO ETERNITY IS SECURE AND KNOWING THAT PART OF US WILL ALWAYS BE AND THAT THAT PART IS QUITE A BIT LONGER THAN THE PHYSICAL REALITY WE ACTUALLY EXPERIENCE AND THAT HAVING THAT AWARENESS CAN ACTUALLY MAKE ONE LAUGH AND CAN THEN RESULT IN A RARE MOMENT THAT SCREAMS HAPPINESS AND JOY.

But the other day I saw joy and happiness in the face of someone who hadn't felt either of those emotions in totality since Sean left our physical reality in 1994.

My ex-wife Kerry, who I definitely have issues with and am constantly reminded of those issues, has experienced both those emotions repeatedly over the last few weeks.
I'm truly not sure what she believes regarding the existence of the soul but a part of her I haven't seen in years came alive and happiness and joy were present...and when happiness and joy are present then LOVE becomes a reality and even though it might only last for a minute or two each time it happens it is happening over and over.

It takes something very very special to help mend a heart that has been shattered.  But keeping in mind that the soul can't be shattered starts to even out the playing field.  Becoming aware of the strength and power that resides in the word eternal, which in turn applies to the soul, makes it possible to understand how we can properly develop our awareness of our souls.

If you have a problem with accepting the concept of non-physical reality then the soul issue might seem hard for you to comprehend.

I saw a soul within a shattered heart emerge for a few minutes and while that soul belonged to someone else it reinforced another Neo-Illumination....#18
Soul Awareness Development is SAD for awhile and then it becomes obvious that SAD can't be.

And believe me I understand the challenges regarding anything having to do with anything we can't see, feel, hear, touch or taste but there are things that transcend physical reality and strengthen non-physical reality realities.

And I accept that it probably takes a physical reality to initiate that type of experience.

THIS IS THE PHYSICAL REALITY THAT INITIATED THE EXPERIENCE THAT I SAW HAPPEN TO MY EX-WIFE....and please note that not only would she not get what I've just written but it would reinforce her theory that I'm not only wrong about EVERYTHING but that I'm extremely delusional....

There's a very solid reason they are called EX wives.

A REALITY

AND JOY
AND HAPPINESS
HAS VISITED A DAMAGED HEART
AND THE SOUL OF AT LEAST ONE PERSON 
THAT I WASN'T  SURE

November seems so long ago

It's now the middle of March and yet the Presidential election seems like it existed in another era.  So much has taken place in an attempt to "harden" America and reverse what generations worked so diligently to create: a country that is a beacon of light for those throughout the world who not only wished they could live here but perhaps help make their own countries something that might resemble what The United States had achieved.

In a few quick signatures that beacon has been narrowed to shine only on the wealthy upper class citizens.

I always suspected that the Republican Party didn't really give a rat's ass about the disenfranchised and downtrodden but I never fully understood the level of hate involved until the Celebrity Apprentice dude became President of the United States.

I'm fairly certain that if the GOP had their way they would eliminate 90 percent of all social programs....starting with Food Stamps.  Why in God's name would anyone need government assistance with obtaining food when that money could be used to add more soldiers, more warships, more  warplanes and of course more drones.  Don't those poor people know that with more weapons they can feel safe in their dwellings?  So what if their children go to bed hungry?  To argue, and I hear it often from the right side of the aisle, that America is a welfare state, is simply an appeal to the working middle class to reject programs that help the needy.

It's so obvious to me and I'm not a Hitler comparison guy but the last time I saw this type of class hate was in Germany during the 1930's.  Imagine for one second if Adolph simply wanted to get rid of poor people instead of the Jews.  With the decisions that are being made both in the White House and in Congress, that seems to be their plan.  The decisions that are being made that will affect our health and our children's health reside on another tier of concern, of which I will address at another time.  Right now I'm simply focusing on the less fortunate people within our borders.

Donald Trump ( and out of respect for the office of President, I've decided from now on that he will simply be Donald Trump or Biff....no more title, no more honor)  is leading a contingent of elected officials that simply........ 

HATE POOR PEOPLE.

AND THEY ARE ABOUT TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE POOR PEOPLE'S LIFE SO MISERABLE THAT MAYBE THEY WILL JUST GO AWAY.

BUT 
what they are forgetting is that 74 million people who voted didn't vote for the Republican agenda and since January 20 I'm suspecting that his 62.5 million supporters have been reduced by 5 to 10 percent.  Once some of his programs get initiated that number could drop by another 20 percent, at which point the sound in the street won't just be honking cars.

The insane Twitter campaign and  his attack on the media combined with his diversion tactics of creating situations to turn focus away from him,  along with the name calling and totally irresponsible cabinet selections......should result in a 25% approval rating by the end of the summer.

At that point the kettle will start to boil over.  I'm not even considering that the Russian fiasco might reach a boiling point well before that time and in that case we might not have to wait for summer to see the s**t hit the fan.

 I read the other day that President Obama's family vacations in one year cost the taxpayers over 11 million dollars.
Since January 20 Donald Trump has taken 3 trips to his Florida compound and the cost so far.....12 million dollars.

I remember reading about Mitch McConnell's complaints about President  Obama's expensive trips to Hawaii over Christmas.

OH, BY THE WAY......MITCH MC CONNELL MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST FREELY ELECTED ASSHOLE ON THE PLANET.

I think I'll end this piece right now because I've been wanting to say that for a few years.

In fact, it felt so good I'm going to say it again with a bit more authority,  but with slightly narrower focus.

MITCH MC CONNELL IS THE BIGGEST ASSHOLE IN POLITICS.
Donald Trump isn't an asshole...he's just flat out insane.

Can't say it better than Dan Rather.....consider this a guest post.

It is understandable that Donald Trump’s twitter attack on President Obama early this morning would immediately be consumed by the churning political hurricane that is America today.
The deepening divisions that are pulling at the fabric of our nation are on raw display. On one side we see understandable outrage, with many questioning the mental fitness of our Commander and Chief. On the other side we see Trump’s allies rallying under their shared hatred of our previous President.
Perhaps it is my age or experience, but I feel no schadenfreude or eagerness to say, “I told you so.” I feel only a deep and abiding sadness. This is my country that I love with all my heart. We are a weakened nation, in our own estimation, and that of the world. If this was happening in some distant land, we would shake our heads and thank our lucky stars that we are Americans. But this nightmare is happening here, and we have no choice but to confront that disorientating truth.
My reporter’s instincts make me wonder at Trump’s actions. It has the feeling of a classic smokescreen. What is he hiding? Is this a kind of trap? Does he have something he is about to drop? Or does he know something else is about to drop on him and his administration, which is facing a withering crescendo of scandal?
We must carefully separate what we know to be true, from what we think to be true, from what we do not yet know. And in the early days of a story like this, what we do not know will far outpace the other two. We do know that there were numerous contacts between close aids to Donald Trump and senior Russian officials at a time when all indications point that the Kremlin was actively trying to undermine the integrity of our election.
What we don’t know is what these discussions were about. We do not know what is in Mr. Trump’s tax returns, which he seems so hell bent on hiding. We do now know all the other suggestions of links between Mr. Trump and people close to him and Russia. And then, of course, we do not know what else there is to know.
It is long past time that we have a complete and independent bipartisan investigation, especially since the director of the FBI is under such a cloud of political manipulation. Now is the time to breathe the cool winds of impartiality and facts. We need statesmen of steady head and temperament, willing to put country ahead of politics. We cannot afford for our democratic institutions to be consumed by a bonfire of lies, innuendos, and conspiracy theories.
We can all work ourselves into fervers of indignation. But the only antidote to these deep and understandable anxieties is the truth. We are the people of the United States. Our great nation is in a perilous moment, and the world is watching with great unease. We want the truth. We demand the truth. We can handle the truth.

There are things to report personally but permission hasn't been granted........so a little musical interlude for now

By the way.....this story about President Obama wiretapping Trump Towers is just another "name calling" tactic on the part of President Biff.  A prime diversion tactic that he has been using since the beginning of his journey to the White House.

Language, speaking and writing and then there's that guy in the White House

I started Mind Jazz in December of 2006 thanks to a columnist, Jack Neworth, who writes Laughing Matters every Friday for the Santa Monica Daily Press, a local paper.  If you have to ask where that local paper is located then I'm fairly certain you shouldn't continue reading this piece because confusion and chaos is already extremely present in your life on this lovely Monday morning....which just happens to be the first normal weather morning we've had in at least 30 days.  I never remember a longer cold period and yet I feel silly talking about cold when I know that 45 and 50 degrees isn't really cold....but again the term IT'S ALL RELATIVE applies directly to this weather observation.  A very large number of Southern California inhabitants experience a weather mood state and that state is called....spoiled.

THAT WAS AN EXAMPLE OF BOTH STYLE AND CONTENT THAT EXISTS QUITE OFTEN IN A MIND JAZZ PIECE.  ADDING A TOUCH OF SARCASM AND HUMOR DOESN'T TAKE A LOT OF EXTRA EFFORT. Whether it is good sarcasm or humor rests entirely in your mind.  I have no idea what you are thinking about....but I do appreciate the fact that you are reading this.

I receive very few comments about Mind Jazz and since I've written over 1250 articles in the last 11 years and like I just said I truly have no idea how this blog rates in the mind of those who read it.  I occasionally look at the stats and acknowledge that people do open the page....whether or not they actually read past the first sentence is any one's guess....and that might have something to do with my punctuation style or lack of punctuation etiquette.  I take liberties when putting t h e s e letters o n t h e p a g e....or should I say that my fingers take the liberties because in truth I usually don't know what I writing until after it's been written and then quite often I'm amazing that any of it makes sense.  I have accepted the reality that I do look at issues a bit differently than the average person....and since everyone has a chance to rise above the designation of average then there is the possibility sometime in the future I will only be writing for the above average person.  From what I've been able to ascertain YOU are way above that particular brand of human being so when I write something profound or witty.....technically I'm writing it for you.


Without feedback and comments the truth is I might be only one of three people that think anything I do...makes sense.  I'm quite confident in those other two people and less confident in myself which is probably the result of having been belittled by Sister Mary Margaret in my eight years of grade school.
( I've said this before....every nun is Sister Mary Margaret in my mind)

Got to blame someone....and nuns are the perfect scapegoat. 

I use different punctuation marks and sometimes I use zero punctuation marks.  I use ellipses but add extra .'s because that's something I've always done and I have papers from college that are filled with red indications that my use of .......'s is flat out wrong.  A few teachers even indicated that they won't grade the paper because....well, extra ......'s just bothered the s**t out of them and that I was incapable of writing correctly and therefore I should think about working as a ski lift operator.
I just assumed that my English teacher at the time really enjoyed skiing. It wasn't until a few years later when I went skiing that I actually realized he was insulting me.  When I decided to apply for that position they said I would be better off working in the bar area.  It wasn't until later while working in the bar area that I once again realized I was being insulted.

Writing that last paragraph in italics is also something I've done for a very long time....but when younger I only italicized certain words and then as I matured I started initializing certain phrases and then advanced to entire sentences and then found myself doing entire paragraphs which is how this paragraph started so since we are both back here right now...let's move along.

Sidebar:  I've noticed a new sense of freedom and rule breaking with fiction writers over the last few years and this quote by Cormac McCarthy seems to fit my brand or style or whatever it is that I do.

 James Joyce is a good model for punctuation. He keeps it to an absolute minimum. There’s no reason to blot the page up with weird little marks. I mean, if you write properly you shouldn’t have to punctuate.

I would never ever never ever never ever ever put my style in the same sentence with either of those writers.  What I do is what I do and that's all I can do. 

When it comes to the speaking part of this piece you need not worry about me at the present time vocalizing and or reading Mind Jazz.  I do hope to start making podcasts of my work but I'm waiting for radio to become a bit more advanced.  Hopefully within 6 months I can figure out how to simply push a button and you can either read or listen.  It's probably already available but I'm mired in a older Microsoft OS so until something breaks....this is it and it is what it is.

The main thing I wanted to mention about speaking is that since the advent of electronic communication in the early 20th Century we have never had anyone in the White House so inept at the art of speaking.




 IT'S ALMOST LUDICROUS!

And yes that is yelling.

Perhaps I'm using the word almost because I simply can't believe what I'm hearing when HE talks.  HE doesn't finish sentences and his syntax is so goofy that I really believe he takes some medication and that we will eventually learn that he has suffered from ADD since childhood.  And if that's true than his success story is really off the charts.  We all know that ADD and OCD and all of those other acronym dealio's are treatable and many successful people have learned to overcome any of the drawbacks that are associated with those problems.

If he doesn't have ADD then something else might be going on....like 5 galleons of coffee on a daily basis or an abundance of Cokes or Pepsi.  Could it just be nervous energy?  Maybe he's just shy and has learned to overcompensate by charging forward on even the smallest silliest insignificant matters.  I just get concerned how he will response to BIG SERIOUS MATTERS.

I'M PRETTY SURE YOU HAVE THAT SAME CONCERN.

It's a difference maker when it comes to international conflicts, whether they be military or economic.

The guy who wrote his book ART of the DEAL has pretty much disappeared from the scene. I think we need to get that gentleman on Fox News ASAP.  I know The Donald had a cease and desist order filed when the guy started talking during the campaign.

WAIT RIGHT HERE AND I'LL FIND HIS NAME.....it won't even seem like I'm gone.

Never before has something seemed so clear

As for those of you who read Mind Jazz on a regular or semi-regular basis you will acknowledge that I mainly write about sociopolitical issues and only on rare occasions do I include my artwork or my current "studies" of interest. My pages on Facebook generally address those aspects of my life.

My current studies, besides continuation of CERN discoveries, centers on Black Holes, Dark Matter, Dark Energy and Equations. The purpose of my studies is to aid in the creation of my next art show which will combine Particle discoveries and the above mentioned topics, which combined with my special paint applications should prove to be both visually and mentally stimulating.

This is one of the moments where learning and politics collide and on November 8, 2016 I was quite amazed to learn that The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle completely meshes with the current political situation.

The uncertainty principle of politics in 2017 America has never been more uncertain.

I realize that the more I study about Black Holes, Dark Matter and Dark Energy the more uncertain my understanding becomes and then I create a visual interpretation.

The beginning of my interpretation deals with the Gravitational Waves that emit from the Black Holes
which allows us to know that they actually exist.

The Gravitational Waves that we are now aware of come from two black holes merging.

In 1916 Albert Einstein predicted that these waves exist and it basically altered a part of Newtonian law (which is another story for another day) and it wasn't until September 14 2015 that they detected the first waves at the LIGO detectors.  It was actually announced on Feb 11 2016.  Then on June 15th they announced a second detection.

There is actually a branch of observation astronomy called Gravitational Wave Astronomy. 

About one month ago I created a preliminary sketch of an energy field outside of a black hole
before I painted the black hole....because I simply assumed that it was a very intense area.

Then two days ago I stumbled across an artist rendition of a black hole and this artist works for NASA. It made me relaxed knowing that I'm at least on the same page as the really smart people at NASA.

I will post my finished piece when it is finished and I promise it will glow on you!

Alternative facts and Press briefing battles because....

The simple fact is that for the last 16 months our current President has engaged in spreading "alternative facts" and questioning the press whenever they weren't agreeing with him.

WHY SHOULD ANYTHING CHANGE? 

The first few days saw President Twitter Spin go to the CIA's sacred wall and talk about the crowd discrepancy during his inauguration. 

WHY ON EARTH WOULD HE MENTION THAT ISSUE TO THE CIA?

Kellyanne Conway spent months belittling Donald Trump until her boos, Ted Cruz, dropped out of the race at the end of June 2016.  On July 1st Donald Trump hired her to run his campaign.

WHY HASN'T ANY MEMBER OF THE MEDIA ASKED HER ABOUT THE THINGS SHE SAID ABOUT TRUMP BEFORE JULY?

AND THE QUESTIONS

I'm only going to ask a few questions every day....because if we've learned anything in the last year it's that too much information and too many facts just can't be digested by the American voter....unless of course they are "alternative facts."

End of this week seems surreal but there is always art and MLK

I worked three days for the L.A. Art show at the Convention Center and then spent the fourth day trying to cover anything I had previously missed.

The show consisted of 90 plus galleries from around the world and I estimate that the four day attendance probably reached 60 to 75,000....which isn't bad considering this was a 4 game NFL playoff weekend.  Although there were probably more women than men I have to say WE (males) were quite well represented which indicates a few things.  Football is popular but not that popular and people will pay to see art.  The cost of admittance was $30 for a a one day pass....which might have been the cost of attending a professional football, on the 50 yard line, about ten years ago.....maybe 15.  This particular show, when it was in Santa Monica at the Airport about five years ago....cost $10.

I probably walked passed this one particular space at least ten times mainly because it was located in a center part of the floor plan.  I had not stopped for various reasons that might or might not be important to this "article" but yesterday as I was perusing a certain space I happened to be standing directly in front of this previously ignored space, with my back turned.  I happened to look over my shoulder and realized that there was an image similar to my first piece I did in 2013 (far fewer colors) when trying to create an explosion of protons in honor of what was happening at the CERN project in Geneva.

Also showing were six pieces that were obviously stimulated by Jackson Pollock but with oodles and oodles of less paint.  I never thought I would use the word oodles but now I've used it three times and I hope it doesn't turn into an addiction.

I introduced myself and pulled out my latest business card.

The item you are now looking at is a 2 1/2 inch puzzle piece from 1993.  There are approximately 70 to 80 other pieces of this puzzle either in a drawer or in the possession of a gallery owner or artist who attended the L.A. Art show.....I know this to be true because I just started utilizing the puzzle pieces on Saturday January 14, 2017....and so far I've handed out at least 20 pieces and ten out of the 20 said the same thing...."That's a lot of work for a business card."  My response was the same each time, "Well, not really."

The back of the puzzle is magnetic tape....so it can instantly become a refrigerator item.

I only have about 750 puzzle pieces left, not counting the three large intact puzzles that will not be used as business cards but instead will be sold as pieces of art.  (Since I sold more than 500 small per-magnetic puzzles and around 50 magnetic puzzles during my puzzle period I think it's safe to say that when the right person comes along my last few puzzles will be gone.) 

Now let's get back to the Art Show because believe it or not this article was never about me but somehow I bent time and space and took it in that direction.

When I handed my card to KENJI MISAWA, the artist who painted the two pieces above, and explained that it was part of a large puzzle, he seemed impressed.  And then I started talking about the first piece that caught my eye, which is called EYE CHAKRA, and how it looked like something I had done in the beginning of my CERN project and turned into THE OTHER GOD PARTICLES art show in September of 2014.

Then I glanced down at the table and noticed some books with his name on the cover of each book.

Each page in the first book showed what he has been doing since 1968.

Here are a few examples of work done by an artist that I originally thought didn't use enough paint on his Jackson Pollock type paintings. 

As I turned the pages I went from feeling humbled to feeling honored to have been able to meet someone of his stature.  What you are looking at are just a few pieces from his immense body of work.  He even had one project, that if I understood him correctly, where he build a river so that it would make his sculpture look more in tune with the environment.  HE BUILT THE RIVER!

There is another project he is currently working on where he is building a beach.

 At one point he asked me about business and I said, "I apparently do everything for free." I'm 

fairly certain at that point he probably considered me to be insane.  

The art of conducting business that is centered on what I do creatively seems to be the total magical conundrum of my life and whereas I would love NOT to worry about finances IT SEEMS I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE IN THE MATTER.

SECURING A PATRON THAT ALLOWS ME TO CREATE LARGER PIECES AND CONDUCT MY SHOW, THE OTHER GOD PARTICLES,  ON A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS, DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ON THE UNIVERSE'S CALENDAR OF EVENTS.  

IT'S A TEST TO SEE HOW MUCH WORK I CAN DO BEFORE ENDING UP UNDER SOME OVERPASS TALKING TO HOMELESS PEOPLE ABOUT ART, THE CERN PROJECT, QUANTUM MECHANICS,  AND SOUL AWARENESS DEVELOPMENT...along with my numerous left wing biased opinions on social and political events.

I honestly don't see myself lasting very long in that environment but if I don't get a sponsor soon for my numerous avenues of expression, it's possible that I could become a character in John Steinbeck's great grandson's new novel.....THE STUPIDEST RAISIN ON THE VINE.

 Today is Martin Luther King's birthday and it's a National Holiday that probably doesn't get recognized by 90% of the people who don't like Barack Obama....and at least 60% of the people who voted for Donald Trump.

The art of generalization has gotten easier and easier during this last election campaign.  Identifying people according to their  political choices has never been so clear.

Friday January 20 2017 is a day that will live in ???????????????

Goodbye Goog;e Chrome and Hello Firefox

Operating system is Windows Vista and while it might be older it was working fine until Google Chrome no longer supported updates from Windows for XP and Vista.  I know XP no longer is supported by Microsoft but Vista was suppose to go until April of 2017.

I do want to thank Google Chrome for the excellent  three years of updates and accessibility.  I understand why the company is so valuable but like all things there comes a time to move along.

I am having slight problem removing Google Chrome from my program list and that doesn't surprise me in the least.

I've downloaded Firefox and will test their waters until the flood gates open.  The flood gates opening will be as a result of Windows no longer updating my Security Essential Security program.  At the bottom of my page I have a horrid orange symbol that should be a beautiful green system and I fully expect to see Chinese, Russian and whoever suddenly enter my computer and make my techno life a living hell.

I am using this short piece just for a test.

I might have some problems because of not using Google Chrome because Blogspot, the host of Mind Jazz, is a Google company and in the past whenever someone tried to cross pollinate information in the Windows, Internet Explorer world....Bill Gates would somehow create pain and suffering.

I'm not sure if Google is that vindictive but I suppose I will find out.

Only ten days away from the weirdness Inauguration day in the history of our country and all I'm praying for is WIND, WIND and more WIND.....so that we can really see what "Biff" looks like.

And so it begins

Today Congress goes back to work and we are about to be GOPeed to the max.  Preparing for their vaulted new leader to take office on January 20 the Republican members will begin the attempted dismantling of everything Barack Obama thought important.

Silly things like the environment, health care and food stamps.

There's been a lot of GOP complaining about how many people are getting food stamps and it seems that there's a fairly logical reason people apply for food stamps.

THEY NEED FOOD.

When one reads about how many children in America go to bed every night hungry one has to wonder if those statistics are available to the members of Republican Party in the House and Senate.

Are they on a DON'T TELL US BAD NEWS list?

Or

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT LESS FORTUNATE PEOPLE DON'T REALLY CONTACT THEIR REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVES?

Maybe every disadvantaged, homeless, starving and sick person in this great country is a Democrat.

I never considered that possibility before.

Simple solution.

WE ALL BECOME REPUBLICANS.

IMMEDIATELY!

ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED!

And it becomes the perfect solution to making sure that The Donald won't have a second term.

We need to be looking into the future as we plan our strategies.....

I'M  OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS...no matter how hair-brain they might appear......after all, keep one thing in mind....

Something just doesn't seem right....or fair.

2016 has one more day and as I sit down to summarize a very complex year, all I think about is how unfair the following statement is.

WE LOST MUHAMMAD ALI

DONALD TRUMP

I understand that life can be unfair and there are really no valid explanations on why certain things happen to certain people at uncertain times but putting those two men in a comparison mode just highlights the tragedy of the recent current events.

Obviously Donald J. Trump being elected the 45th President of the United States is the biggest surprise of the year and thus the most important event mainly because of political, social and environmental ramifications that could result from America having a HUGE brain fart.

Think back to Nixon
Think now about Trump
both extremely paranoid 
and both with followers that will do anything to make their bosses happy.

THIS STORY WILL ONLY GROW AND GROW
and our relationship with Russia will end up being the main story for 2017.
