Elections, World Series, Football games and SEX

Now that I have your full attention I have to confess that there will be no sex in this article.

The upcoming election on November 2 will give us a pretty clear picture of what to expect in the 2012 Presidential race.

I do know one thing for sure.......it's much more fun being on the offense than it is being on the defense. I think back to those eight years with George Jr. and how sweet it was to make fun of him and ridicule his decisions. And now every conservative in America is tearing Barry apart for his decisions in regards to how he is trying to fix a financial fiasco.

You can blame Barry for all the financial problems but does anyone really believe it all started in January of 2009?

There's a new documentary film called INSIDE JOB that should be required viewing for EVERYBODY.

Mortgage Brokers, Bankers and Investment Counselors started making fundamental errors (or crimes) in structural economic matters back in the Reagan administration.

The amount of money made by certain people and certain groups was ludicrous and then when you weigh in the fact that average working Americans are going to pay the price for their greedy behavior......than the action becomes criminal.

Barack Obama does have to reverse the deficit trend or he will soon be regarded as a Republican.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT THE UNITED STATES DEFICIT CHART SINCE 1960 AND NOTE THAT REPUBLICANS WIN HANDS DOWN FOR INCREASED DEFICIT NUMBERS. Since they always campaign on smaller government and less spending, history has shown that their actions are exactly opposite of their promises.

The local California propositions that seems to be of interest are numbers 19 and 23. 19, which is the pot prop, appears to be losing and 23 which is the prop to stop cleaning up environmental problems also appears to be losing.

I agree that some people should not smoke pot. But those same people should not drink or smoke cigarettes and many of them do......to an excess. The same regulations regarding drinking will be in place for smoking pot so what's the big deal? The regulations for drinking have not stopped millions of people from abusing alcohol and we have learned that alcohol abuse is extremely bad for the body. Pot abuse might be a problem for normal lung activity but it only takes one hit to get a pot high and an alcohol buzz usually takes multiple doses to achieve it's intended affect. The reason pot is not legal is because the alcohol industry does not want a weed competing with their product. A weed that you can grow inside your house with a small grow light. That's bad for business when you have a brewery costing millions of dollars to supply us with Bud Light.

Speaking of pot smokers it looks like Jerry Brown will be our next governor. I was worried for awhile that we might have to look at Meg's hair for the next four years.

Nationwide it seems that the GOP will pick up a few seats.

I'm finished voting for Barbara Boxer so I'll be checking the Peace and Freedom box in that category. 28 years is long enough for any senator. Time to move on Barbara.

And now for the two huge battles taking center stage this week. The World Series features the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers. I was pulling for the Giants to get to the series but now I think I'll be rooting for the Rangers. I like the idea of a team winning for the first time. It's a special story and then when you add all the OUTSIDE elements to their experience.... it becomes quite compelling. Drug and alcohol recovery stories are pretty cool until something goes wrong. Hopefully there won't be any relapses during the next two weeks. Even the Texas manager has had a little toot problem.

I think the Texas Rangers will win and of course I hope it goes 7 games because there's nothing more exciting in sports than the seventh game of a World Series...

Saturday the USC Trojans take on the number one team (everywhere except the BCS poll) the Oregon Ducks. I sincerely hope the Trojans smack the quack out of them and another number one team bites the dust....but realistically the boys from Troy will really have to upgrade their tackling skills if they plan on making duck soup. The problem with the Ducks is that they are acting more like hawks and that could spell big trouble for the crimson and gold. They seem to be unstoppable.

By the time the World Series is over we will have a new Governor and pot will still be smoked and grown by those who smoke it and grow it....... no matter what the law says. In fact I think there will be an entire new contingent of pot growers because there has been so much focus on the product that it seems to easy not to get involved.

Read High Times magazine and one can learn everything there is to know about starting a small pot farm.....right in the spare bedroom. If you've got some acreage then you can become a force to be reckoned with. I suggest keeping it inside unless 19 passes.

Ands that's how we roll....so to speak.
