That didn't go well but

Dodgers lost yesterday so they finished August with a losing record but then added Jim Thome and Jon Garland.

Thome has 55,000 home runs and will prove valuable if the Dodgers make the World Series.

Garland could be a fixture in the rotation if he can just stop "digging himself" as a Chicago sportwriter pointed out this morning on the Dan Patrick show.

In fact he said that Garland "digs himself" so much that he can almost "taste himself."

That's some funny stuff.
