KICK OFF

College football starts tonight.

The real season starts Saturday at the Coliseum when USC hosts my Alma mater San Jose State

I'm pretty loyal so I don't want the Trojans to win by more than 35 points

2009 is the year of Quarterbacks with Tim Teibow, Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy leading the gunslingers. There will be plenty of additions to that premiere list but those three should be battling for the Heisman.

USC obviously plans on running the ball most of the time and that's ok with Joe McKnight who, if he stays healthy, could lead the nation in all purpose yardage.

I'm fairly certain we have not heard the last of Aaron Corp and I see him actually being the QB.
The Freshman, Matt Barkley, has a lot of time to prove himself and hopefully this experiment won't destroy his confidence.

BOISE STATE IS A 4 POINT FAVORITE OVER VISITING OREGON TONIGHT

I think I'll start my college football prognostications with an upset.

OREGON 24
BOSIE STATE 21

But of course anything can happen when the field is BLUE.

By the way Florida is 63 pont favorite over Charleston South on Saturday.

Something's wrong when a potential National Championship team plays this type of team.

I'll take the 63 points and I'll probably lose.

I'm excited about college football this year but of course my focus must stay with the boys in blue who play baseball just off the Pasadena Freeway.

They seem to be in a lethargic mood right now....and we, the fans, are all wondering who will light the spark and get them fired up. I think it's time for Larry Bowa to snap a twig and bust a metaphoric cap in some body's ass.

If Manny takes one more strike three fastball I think I'm going to puke. He literally starts walking away before the pitch is in the glove. It's kinda weird.

The guy who can almost "taste himself" Jon Garland pitches today against the team he was on three days ago. We'll probably find out how popular he was by the way the Diamondbacks keep trying to hit the ball up the middle.

It will be interesting.

I will be watching...but I will be flipping over to see how Oregon is doing on the field of BLUE

It's all blue baby......it's all good
