The first 9/11

This September, the movie September Dawn will soon be released. While the day the World Trade Centers went down will be fixed in the memory of most people and it may not be entirely coincidental that a movie about religiously inspired violence chose an event that occurred on the same day on the calendar as the attacks on the Twin Towers. September 11th is also important to note that the movie details a historical event that occurred on September 11. The event in question is the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

120 settlers, on their way to California were wiped out by Mormons.

I wonder if Mitt Romney will have to answer questions about that incident on September 11th 1857.

Probably not.

The fact that atrocities have occurred due to religious convictions is not a new fact but sometime somewhere there WILL be a general call to stop the nonsense.

Of course sometime somewhere applies to quite a few aspects of human evolutionary growth.

But hope springs eternal and I have to believe that we will get it together....sometime somewhere.

Sometime somewhere
people will eventually care
about the actions connected to the beliefs they hold
maybe not tomorrow nor the next day
maybe not next week or next year
maybe not in our lifetime
but
sometime somewhere
we will
stop fighting
over
who loves GOD
the
right way.

or wrong way

JUST
LOVE
GOD

AND TO THE RELIGIOUS LEADERS OF THE WORLD

STOP TELLING ME HOW TO DO IT.........

STOP KILLING IN THE NAME OF LOVE

and it's better to stop now
then to wait until....
