I thought the Giant Pig was amazing and then...

Yesterday I pointed out the story about the 11 year giant pig killer from Alabama and I really thought was a big story.....then this morning I wake up an read that the Chatsworth High baseball team, which plays for the City Championship this Saturday at Dodger Stadium (4 pm), has hit 74 home runs......THIS SEASON..... and they are one short of the state record.

Seriously......there are thousands of high schools in this country that haven't hit 74 in their entire existence. Many High Schools leading Home run hitter usually has about 5...maybe 7 home runs.

CHATSWORTH'S THIRD LEADING HOME RUN HITTER HAS 14

I'm not going to start naming names at this point, but the fact that Barry Bonds spent last summer in Chatsworth......

Forget it.....you can't make me go there, but you might get me to go there if you take me to Dodger Stadium on Saturday at 4 pm.

Last year I attended a CIF Championship game at Angel Stadium and it was cheap and it was fun.

I think they only charge $5.00 a ticket. Of course that was the price last year in Anaheim.....this year with the McCourt regime.....it could $5000 plus parking. I really wonder if they will stick to the $15.00 parking......my gut feeling says that parking will be free but my gut feeling also told me that McGovern would kick Nixon's ass.

74 HOME RUNS HASN'T EVEN BROKEN THE STATE RECORD!

GIVE ME A BREAK!

I'll look into what steroid team holds that record and report back later.

I'm so sorry to make steroid references but it really is a sign of the times.
I don't believe for one second that High School players are using steroids or HGH.

I really don't.

REALLY

But if a story were to surface somewhere down the road I don't imagine that I would be shocked.

And that's the true sign of the times. I want to believe in the purity of certain things but when they prove to be less than pure.....I find myself not that shocked nor disappointed. Just sort of numb.

NUMB
might be the ultimate sign of the times.

74 HOME RUNS DOESN'T EVEN BREAK THE STATE RECORD.

I'm going to look into national records for high school baseball....and I'm probably going to be amazed and then I'll also probably discover that a 10,000 pound pig was found living with a 3,000 pound Panda.....on Catalina.

SATURDAY....DODGER STADIUM....4 PM

GOOD (CLEAN?) FUN

TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE GAME.....FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SEATING.
or at least it was last year in Anaheim.
