Yesterday was a great day for America in many ways and not so great in a few other ways...but let's first get to the GREAT stories.....
THE EAGLE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST. In 1963 there were 417 American Bald Eagles left in the United States (not counting Alaska, which had 35 million....or some other large number).
Today there are over 11,000......and what the hell was that that just flew down and grabbed my cat? It was big and had a mean looking beak......oh yeah.....it was just an EAGLE.
I was going to report on this yesterday but I heard some rumors that had to be investigated before I could finalize my story.
There seems to be no truth to the rumor that Eagles have flourished by devouring BEES at an alarming rate. The rumor stated.... that three years ago there were only 4,000 Eagles and then they figured out how healthy BEE POLLEN was so they started eating every BEE in North America and it caused them to lay eggs at an incredible rate.....but I can't find any evidence that substantiates that rumor. ( Cell phone signals have not been ruled out)
The fact that Eagles have been removed from the Endangered list shows what people can do if they focus on a problem. Maybe we should tie the Eagle problem to the GLOBAL WARMING problem and to the IMMIGRATION problem and to the GANG problem and to the AIDs problem and to the IRAQ problem and so on and so on.
I love it when the American people solve a problem.....and it took a tremendous amount of various groups and organizations to accomplish this task......and just because they were trying to save the national symbol shouldn't diminish the effort. Kudo's to everyone involved and now we have to figure out how to use the Eagle to our advantage in Iraq. We could train them to spot suicide bombers because I've heard ridiculous statistics on their eye power......which has nothing to do with the i phone, that arrives today, even though Steve Jobs was trying to buy the rights to the i eagle.
By the way....$600 for a phone! I would have to be able to drive a phone for $600.00....but I'm sure it will sell extremely well. People will pay $5.00 for .50 worth of popcorn when they go to the movies....so what's $600.00 for a phone. And by the way.......doesn't the i phone completely destroy the i pod market?
BACK TO GREAT AMERICAN STORIES
The FDA finally bitch slapped the Chinese regarding their contaminated food exports. The main target is SEAFOOD. The Food and Drug Administration announced that it would block ALL shipments from China of farm-raised SHRIMP, CATFISH, EEL, BASA and DACE.
FIRST THING TO ASK IS......WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD BASA OR DACE? Personally you won't find me ordering something that I've never heard of .....especially in the seafood family.
One of the interesting parts of this story reveals that the FDA only tests about 1% of the food imported into this country....because of lack of funding. I think I know a few areas they could get the money from. How much is IRAQ costing on a daily basis? I think it was a billion dollars a day......all they have to do is take a pinch from that and put in toward guaranteeing the safety of the American consumer.
Borderline American stories
I'm not sure if the failure of the Immigration Bill is a great thing for America because frankly I'm not sure what was in the bill. The 761 page bill probably had things in it that nobody understood. I heard rumors that to qualify for citizenship all Mexicans had to commit to working at McDonald's for the first year.....and would no longer be able to hold daily meetings at the Van Nuys DMV.
How many members of the Senate do you think read the entire 761 pages?
They say this a defeat for King George so it might be a win for America. One thing I can promise you is.....WITH THE SUPREME COURT RULINGS during the session which just ended .....KING GEORGE HAS GOT TO FEEL GREAT....AND any immigration law not passed doesn't even compare to what the new conservative justices are doing to the future of America.
HIS APPOINTMENTS TO THE SUPREME COURT COULD BE AROUND FOR 30 YEARS.
THINK ABOUT THAT FOR JUST A FEW SHORT MINUTES.
When I think that 50 percent of the eligible voters.....don't vote....I wonder how many people even remotely concern themselves with Supreme Court decisions....until one day they look up and say...."when did that happen?"
Being able to appoint a Supreme Court Judge might be the only real reason to elect one person over another for the office of President of the United States. Electing George Bush the first time was a total fluke because of that Florida fiasco......giving him four more years for the opportunity to appoint another Supreme Court Judge is an act of total disregard for civil liberties of the American people.....which by the way might not be recognized as something important anymore.
Civil liberties are not an issue until YOU are affected....and YOU will be affected by what the Supreme Court has done during this last session. And how cool is it to finish a session on June 29Th. I don't think those black robed Bush/Cheney Puppets report back until January......but I could be wrong. I can promise you that they don't work during July or August.
I'll look into the exact schedule and get back to you.
God forbid that one of the Judges dies and King George gets another appointment!
And that is indeed another great reason for the power of prayer.
And speaking of prayer....I wish that GOD would just do one of those LARGE VOCAL EXPERIENCES and tell the MUSLIMS of the world to RELAX.

There is a number that was issued yesterday that just has to put the old crawl under the REAL DICK's skin.....the number is 28301-016 and for the next two and one half years it belongs to
I. LEWIS "SCOOTER" LIBBY...as he takes up residence in some FEDERAL PRISON...which hasn't been determined....which means he doesn't have to report for awhile.....which means he has time to go visit the kid in ATLANTA who is in jail for 10 YEARS for having oral sex when he was 17.
SCOOTER gets 2 1/2 years for "perjury" relating to the revelation of an undercover CIA agent....because that agent's spouse questioned the reasons behind the invasion of IRAQ.
TAKE THAT SHOTGUN DICK! Of course he will probably be pardoned by King George and the kid in Atlanta will stay in jail for another 8 years....and the whole EAGLE story will just not seem so wonderful.
AMERICA IS AN AMAZING PLACE OF DIVERSITY AND CHALLENGES....and I love being an American but that doesn't mean I'm turning my back on the things that are in need of being fixed.
