Both 109 and something ends tonight and Vin chimes in......

Both Dodgers and Giants have won 109 games this season.  The Giants won one more game when they played each other.

NONE OF THE MATTERS TONIGHT

One game to decide who keeps going and if the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers lose then in two weeks someone else will be World Champions BUT right now at this moment THEY are the World Champions.....and I love having heard that all season long.

Dave Roberts made a decision today that will either make him look like a genius or a complete idiot.

He has the only 20 game winner in baseball ready to go and suddenly he decides to start one of his relief pitchers.

IF THIS BACKFIRES it will be the greatest WORSE decision in modern day baseball history.  If it works and Julio comes in after two and goes seven and gets the win DAVE ROBERTS will be elevated to mini Timmy Lasorda status.

My feeling?

The Dodgers have a great bullpen so why not DO what you have DONE up to this point?

I vaguely remember a decision with Clayton a few years ago that had people wondering?

HOPE THIS ISN'T ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS THAT WE REMEMBER FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.

I picked Cody Bellinger's number for my golf cart today because I saw him choke up the other day and get two hits.  He can make everyone forget his 2021 regular season with a few timely swings.  He's already responsible for them winning the second game of this series so why not keep the mo going.

With the superstars on this team why not add Gavin Lux's name to that list?  Do you realize that 20 years from now he could be retiring with an Hall of Fame career?  3 time batting champ so on and so forth.

Vin Scully was quoted today.....

"To my knowledge, tonight's game between the @Dodgers and @SFGiants is the most important game in the history of their rivalry. With nearly identical records, and so much at stake, I believe this to be the case."

AND THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.......He predicts nothing , just points out how important this game is.

And knowing how important this game is....Dave Roberts has added a twist that probably didn't need to be added.

Go BLUE
p.s.
By the way....imagine what Fernando would have said in 1981 playoffs if Tommy had decided to start Bobby Castillo instead of him.
