This is really strange and maybe a little funny

The other day I made my first face since the CVA.  Keep in mind that when I make one of these images it's done in a matter of seconds.

No thought....just design.

Matter of seconds!

(I do female faces that are a bit more serious and side views of male faces that are cartoonish, but this style of face emerged during the same time period that Mark Zuckerburg was developing Facebook in his Harvard dorm in 2003.  I ended up with 75 silly faces and Mark ended up with 25 billion dollars.....thus the difference between algorithms and art)

I looked at the face and was rather stunned.  The CVA has left me with no peripheral vision on the left side.

That almost completely closed eye in the drawing is my left eye.

When I showed my physical therapist the drawing she immediately said that I should do more because they were a good exercise.

I explained about the series I had done in 2003...and that the one above was simply created on a whim in one of my journals.  She stated once more that as a physical therapist she couldn't think of a better exercise then to do this type of work.

The fact that she called it work made me feel really really good.

I honestly thought that I had exhausted this particular period of "goofy faces" but perhaps I should listen to the medical expert and start another series.

Maybe go much much much BIGGER.

There is a moral to this story and it centers on the fact that when one has a negative experience which affects physical or mental abilities, it is very important to re-enter the arena
of experience and make it happen captain.

I'm really going to try and make a mountain out of a molehill.

Things could get very interesting.
