There is no excuse

It's no secret that I am against war as a problem solving solution. That puts me in a position of being anti-military....which I would say is an accurate assumption. I believe much too much money is spent on military endeavors around the world but I accept the current level of our human evolution and realize that while in the relatively near future (100 - 200 years) problems will be solved with compromise and diplomacy....currently asses need to be kicked from time to time. I choose not to be part of that ass-kicking but I understand that sometimes when training the puppy it needs to have its nose rubbed in the poop. Homo-sapien evolution is not that far along and while we have truly invented some cool toys we have yet to expand the extra senses that are available to our species.

Being anti-military does not mean I am anti-people who participate in the process. Obviously the military is an important employer for millions of people and in our current retro evolutionary stage there are times when power must be exerted....and protection must be provided.

WHAT I FIND TOTALLY INTOLERABLE IS THE FACT THAT THERE IS EVEN ONE HOMELESS VETERAN IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

In Santa Monica we have a council member named Bobby Shriver who is fighting to have the Veterans Administration in West Los Angeles use their empty buildings to shelter homeless vets. The fact that a vet can't simply walk up to a VA building, anywhere in the US, and find a place to sleep anytime that want is totally unacceptable!

When a soldier loses his life in combat we always hear how a family should be extremely proud that their child gave their life for our country.

Why should it be any different throughout the entire life of any veteran who signed the papers to be part of the military complex?

"TAKING CARE OF OUR OWN" should be the optimum phrase.

It's appalling how much money we spend on military endeavors throughout the world.

IT'S DISGUSTING THAT ANY PERSON WHO JOINED THE MILITARY SHOULD EVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHERE THEY CAN SLEEP AND USE A BATHROOM.

The real question is......HOW MANY ARE THERE?

It shouldn't be that hard to find out.

Between the closed military bases and the Veterans Administration buildings every single one of those homeless vets should be immediately housed.

"TAKING CARE OF OUR OWN"

THAT PHRASE SHOULD BE USED ON EVERY RECRUITING ADVERTISEMENT.

LET EVERY YOUNG PERSON KNOW THAT IF THEY DO JOIN THE MILITARY THEY WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING HOMELESS.

The amount of money that will be saved by reducing our military actions around the globe can be used to solve this stupid problem.

And by not taking care of the people who risked their lives to join the military....the military proves once again that they are most definitely at a lower level of the human evolutionary chain.

WE NEED THEIR STUPID TOYS AND BAD ASS ATTITUDES BECAUSE WE ARE ONLY ABOUT 100,000 YEARS OLD....AND WE'VE ONLY BEEN RECORDING OUR DEVELOPMENT FOR ABOUT 25,000 YEARS AND WE'VE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO CREATE MULTIPLE COPIES SINCE AROUND 1439.

And although that's an explanation for our general stupidity, it is no excuse for allowing a member of the armed forces to sleep under a stack of newspapers.

In my advanced evolutionary future reality of the human species....no one will be homeless but that's an entirely different story.

THE PROBLEM OF HOMELESS VETS NEEDS TO BE FIXED TODAY.

I'm going to call the President and the Vice-President....but I need their cell phone numbers......does anyone have those numbers?
