Lay off the legends

There seems to be a lot of complaining about The Who.......

It's a hostile world when legendary music icons get blasted for aging.

Not only were they quite entertaining, for the 12 minutes, but the stage was a remarkable layout of futuristic LED lights.

It is remarkable to think that younger generations only know The Who from CSI intro's.

I guess next year Led Zeppelin can reunite and take some flak.

It's not the Who's age that had me ho-humming, it was the music. First of all, I think the Who has always been an extremely overrated band. Secondly, when you're playing music that has been in rotation for 40 years, it's hard to get excited when you're watching it in your living room. It's not a new experience for anybody, and it's boring. Even my obsession with Paul McCartney wasn't enough for me to enjoy his halftime performance the other year. Been there, done that. However, when I saw him live, it was a WHOLE different story. Therein lies the disconnect for me with the current superbowl halftime show.
