We can't even spell it right

I keep asking why the situation in Sudan seems to be ignored, except for movie stars, and today I discovered the problem.
We(....the collective we consists of ALL reporting entities such as Yahoo, LA Times etc, etc and of course little old me.....)can't even agree on how to spell DARFUR.....DUFAR.
Type in both words and watch the results. If you look at a map of Sudan you will note that the western region of the country is called DARFUR. Why on earth would Dufar ever be the spelling?
Looking at it closely I now realize that when you say....DARFUR....IT SOUNDS TOO MUCH LIKE DA FUHRER....and all references, whether they be visual or audio, that remind people of Adolf Hitler....will simply be ignored.
This is the same problem that Barack Obama is faced with and why it's imperative that he change his last name.
DARFUR simply will not work when attempting to generate sympathy....and when one says the name with a slight accent...it really sounds like a salute.
At first I thought these were two different places and two different situations and then I realized that it parallels the last Winter Olympic games in TORINO or TURIN...depending on who you were. When one looks at a map of Italy....there is a place called TORINO.....nothing called TURIN....except of course one quite infamous SHROUD.
Of course Mr. Clooney...I realize the extreme differences between the two situations and that's it's not in good taste to compare a sporting event to a mass genocide but what I'm trying to do is establish WHY something gets ignored by the average dick and jane.

When people can't even agree on how something is spelled or pronounced then God only knows they aren't going to care about the problem.

There are some people who think Barack's last name is OSAMA....and there are some people who think that DARFUR is a dead psycho dude from the 40's. Of course it's important to also keep in mind that some of those same people actually think that the extermination of European Jews didn't really happen. I wonder how those idiots deal with the information released from the German achieves which actually shows the names of each and every person murdered. The rows and rows of files and books that Germany has stored underground since the War.....each and every person and their NUMBER listed with exact precision and diligence....neat and legible so that future generations could marvel at their amazing record keeping.
What the f..k were they thinking?

So back to today's problem.....now we have to change Barack's last name and we have to change the name of Darfur.....we've already settled on Russell being a good last name for the kid senator from Illinios.....so let's change Darfur to BUSHVILLE.....that will get a nice response from the people who matter.

I promise that if a genocide were taking place in BUSHVILLE....there would be a huge outcry and the troops would be landing tomorrow.

If Barack Cassius Russell were to lead the action against the bad guys in BUSHVILLE....watch out White House!

Barack Obama talking about Darfur....really is just not going to make any inroads....neither for himself or the horrible situation in Sudan.

Imagine how bad it would be if Barack Obama were living in Turin trying to help with the problem in Darfur. The confusion just keeps spinning and spinning and the focus never goes to the problem....kind of like the Sunni/Shi'a mess.....which by the way reminds me.....

IS IT SHI'A or is SHIITE?

I can pretty much rest assured that when looking at the second spelling one just simply thinks of one thing and one thing only.

So now we have another name change, but keep in mind that after we change the SHIITE name to something more user friendly.....the SHIITE will still be a SHIITE.

So many things to do....so many names to change....so many people to save..
