 I've tried to be "quiet" during the second term of our current President and I've done so with both ideas of 1)giving him a chance and 2)being humbled by his re-rise to power.

He basically shut me up after winning the 2024 election but because of people like Jimmy Kimmel I was able to live vicariously in the world of criticizing Donald.  And believe me when I say it's a large world. 

The latest stupid thing that has come out of his mouth reminds me of the time he called John McCain a loser because his plane got shot down during the Viet-Name war. 

These are his exact words when hearing about the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle.

"Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS"

Instead of just not saying anything, which is appropriate in situations where you don't actually know the person who died, he decides to display his own case of mental derangement and belittle a much loved and respected celebrity.

I have watched Rob Reiner in multiple roles as both an actor and filmmaker and the pain his family is suffering right now should never be ridiculed or degraded by anyone ESPECIALLY the standing President of the United States.

I actually never heard Rob Reiner talk about DJT but I assume he was vocal in in his complaints regarding Trump because Mr. Reiner was a devout Liberal Democrat and probably leaned to the deep Progressive side of the party.

My father didn't like him because he was responsible for a tax increase on Tobacco to help support early childhood education.  My dad kept saying, as a smoker, "Where's that TAX money going?"  And he always blamed Rob Reiner even though he eventually did quit smoking at the age of 84.

Fairly soon, I hope, some of the ploys used by DJT during this latest term will be revealed on a large scale.  Unfortunately investigative reporters seem to be evaporating at an alarming rate.

I can start to list those ploys but I've got to go Christmas shopping later today.......so here are a few doozies.

Appointing a Federal Judge illegally and than having that judge file charges against various people he didn't like.

Pardoning 1500 people from the Jan 6 fiasco for storming the Capital building.

Claiming he didn't even know Jeffery Epstein

The fact that he decided to take over the Kennedy Center should wake up enough souls in the graveyards of political stalwarts to rise up and have physical influence on the current situation.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS....but I do realize that perhaps I'm waking up to the fact that our 249 year old democracy is virtually being challenged on a daily basis by a man who actually suffers from ..........

Little did I know

 For 35 years I was involved in the wholesale art industry basically supplying art to Furniture and Department stores as well as to catalog houses and Interior Designers.  I went to shows in High Point, Dallas, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta and Tupelo.

I had no idea that at those shows there was always an element of HIGH END DESIGN being displayed at various showrooms within shouting distance of the "regular" showrooms.

The knockoff business within the Furniture Industry is not a secret and probably 90 percent of what is made and manufactured is the direct result of someone stealing an idea and then making production pieces so that sales can happen on a large scale.

In the art part of that industry there are original ideas that are mass produced....but to be honest the quality of the work, when mass produced, is done quickly and without much intensity or creativity.

I just watched a video on PAUL EVANS who died in 1987 and designed product for Directional Furniture.  His concepts of mid-century contemporary and brutalist designs were quite different and today those pieces sell at prices that designate the work as unique pieces of Art.

This cabinet sells for around a hundred thousand dollars.....

The artists that worked for high-end clientele had very little exposure to the mass market unless their pieces got knocked off and made with inferior materials.

I'm bringing this up because I think that's exactly what has happened to our present political situations.

We need to replace IT with something that is functional and original and looks beautiful....and appeals to 80 percent of the population.

I'm looking around and so far I'm not seeing anyone who can fit that bill.

 I've really been humbled by the latest Trump election and then I realize that the last ten years have been the Trump decade.  Even when he was out his name was mentioned every single day.

The Trump Decade has basically shut me up.

Hopefully I will rebound.....and hopefully it happens soon.

This current show taking place between two very wealthy men should be ignored but of course it is very hard not to watch.

I am leaning toward a staged ruckus.

It would make sense that a grifter and a showman would arrange to have a fallout simply to confuse the American public regarding the BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL.

The defense budget goes up and the budget for social programs goes down

Poor people are Donald's least favorite type of human being.

They sure don't drive Tesla's.

Knowing how both men like the spotlight I will not be surprised if there is a huge reconciliation and it dominates the news while the Senate approves the bill and sends it to the White House.

It's another slight of hand trick that the greatest grifter in political history will pull off.

The fact that 75 million people still support him is the real story.

He wasn't kidding when he said he could get away with ANYTHING.

The percentage of people who invest in the Stock Market is around 60 %.  Most of those investments are through IRA's and Mutual Funds that are available through work related benefits.

80 % of the individual Stock Market investors have incomes above $100,000

Therefore most people in America are NOT going to get wealthy during these wild market fluctuations. 

So DJT says the other day...."it's time to get rich."  It really helps if you are already flush.

We know that The Donald doesn't like poor people and he doesn't like people who aren't good looking.

So homely poor people are truly up shit creek during this latest tour of duty by The Donald.
