Perhaps a bi-partisan Mineral Department needs to be created.....which means more government and not part of the GOP 2025 Program.

Facts are facts
The Republican party has taken over Completely. The Presidency, The Senate, The House of Representatives and the Supreme Court.
To say I am slightly surprised would be the understatement of all understatements.
I AM ACTUALLY IN SHOCK.
In 2020 Trump got 74 million votes and lost the election by 8 million votes
In 2024 Trump got 76 million votes and won the election by 3 million votes
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE MATH
I heard a funny line the other day....."Pants Suits don't work Ladies, the farmers need to see some skin."
I'm concerned that the GOP won't have anyone to blame after this thumping....and believe me it was a full flat out THUMPING.
It turns out that Elon Musk was extremely important in the 2024 Election.
I WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SEC.
Years from now when lithium, nickel, copper and cobalt have changed the landscape of wilderness areas from massive mining projects and giant non-recyclable batteries have been buried in landfills next to your amusement parks and playgrounds.....who will get the blame? Mr. Musk by then will be so wealthy that perhaps he will own the actual government of the United States.
I do know that it will be a lot smaller government in the next few years....right?
Our annual military budget is 960 BILLION DOLLARS and that's not going to be reduced because part of that contract budget has to go through Space X and Mr. Musk.
HE AND THE DONALD WILL BE REMEMBERED BY HISTORY IN A VASTLY DIFFERENT WAY THAN THEY ARE TODAY.
OF COURSE ELON WILL STILL BE AROUND UNLESS HE DECIDES TO RIDE ONE OF THE ROCKETS TO MARS.
THE DONALD WILL BE LONG GONE BUT BARRON WILL PROBABLY BE PRESIDENT or THE DONALD WILL HAVE PAID FOR AN IMMORTAIY DRUG AND WILL STILL BE PRESIDENT IN 40 YEARS.
By the way I would love to see our current Vice-President (remember who that is) on January 6 decide NOT TO CERTIFY THE VIOTES and standing next to her is Mike Pence.
The Donald's head would literally explode and that would be a viral video for the ages.
I just posted the US DEBT CLOCK so as to remind everybody what reality looks like. If you study the clock you can go back to any time and see how things were under the different leaders.
Now the real question comes down to this.....WOULD I ACCEPT AN INVITATION TO PLAY GOLF WITH DONALD TTRUMP AT HIS COURSE IN SCOTLAND?
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be allowed within a 1000 miles of anywhere The Donald was playing golf.
Anyway I'd much rather play golf with Dean Koontz and his BAD WEATHER FRIEND....who by the way is one of the best characters ever devised. If you read the book you will agree with me.

Election is one week away and Dodgers are one game away. GOD only knows the results
My avid Republican brother told me yesterday that the Madison Square Garden speech that The Donald gave on the 27th was the greatest speech he ever made.
So this morning I decided to watch the entire speech.
I am currently 16 minutes into IT and I'm once more reminded of the different interpretations that certain people have for the word GREAT.
He also informed me that 3 of his 4 daughters are voting for Trump. I simply answered him by saying that sometimes people say things so they won't have to listen anymore.
Knowing those 4 beautiful nieces I am fairly certain that maybe 1 or perhaps 2 might be voting for Trump but since I can't imagine anyone voting for him I guess I'll just have to take a deep breath and accept that anything is possible.
Let's get back to his Madison Square Garden event. My brother thought there were 80,000 people there and I had to explain that the building only holds 19,000....so right off the bat everything is ass backwards.
In the first 16 minutes of his speech he claimed that America was NOT going to exist anymore if Kamala Harris wins the election.
He also just said that the United States was an OCCUPIED COUNTRY.
THIS IS THE TYPE OF STATEMENT THAT FEEDS HIS VOTERS.
THE UNITED STATES IS AN OCCUPIED COUNTRY
like France was in WW11??????????
SERIOUSLY
How could a person running for President say that our country is occupied?
AND HIS PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT BULLSHIT AND THEN REPEAT IT TO THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
HE JUST STATED THAT ELECTION DAY IN 2024 WILL BE LIBERATION DAY IN AMERICA.
I will now go back and listen to the rest of the speech....maybe I'll be able to make it all the way through before the Dodger game starts in 6 hours. It might take me that long because I simply can't stand they way he talks. IT'S SIMPLY JUST BROKEN SENTENCES.....ONE AFTER ANOTHER......REPEATING WORDS AND THOUGHTS OVER AND OVER.
Hopefully I'll be able to give a complete report.

I've decided to wait and finish this after the Dodger game.
I'm back and it's 8:30 pm and the LOS ANGELES DODGERS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS FOR THE 8th TIME.
Somethings are right with the world......and somethings aren't.
Yankees have 27 championships so don't feel sorry for that franchise.

TRUE STORY
I've told this story quite a few times but never wrote it down.
HOW I BECAME A DODGER FAN
Having been born in Hollywood California in1946 baseball was not a focal point of my early childhood but in 1955 that was about to change. I attended Catholic schools for the first 12 years and the first 8 years the instructors were NUNS.
CATHOLIC NUNS WITH BLACK AND WHITE HABITS...WHO CARRIED WOODEN RULERS WITH A BRASS EDGE.....and were never shy about using it as a weapon.
In my recollection they were all named Sister Mary Margaret.
My mother volunteered to drive them around to certain functions because we had a station wagon so their presence extended beyond the school boundaries.....and needless to say I was always riding in the very back looking out the rear window.
One October morning in 1955, which would put me in the 3rd grade at the age of 9, Sister Mary Margaret wheeled a cart in the room with a small black and white TV set on top and made the following announcement. "Boys and girls, today we are going to watch my beloved New York Yankees beat the Brooklyn Dodgers again in the 7th game of the World Series."
Sister Mary Margaret and I didn't see eye to eye on very many subjects so at that exact moment I was rooting for the Brooklyn Dodgers without knowing anything about the team and very little about baseball.
She proceeded to give us a history of how the Yankees had beaten the Dodgers every time they played in the World Series. I also liked the name Dodgers because one of our recess games was Dodgeball....and I assumed the team was named after the game we played....and since they were throwing a ball around it made perfect sense to me.
As you may or may not know the result of that game resulted in a very upset Sister Mary Margaret and a jubilant young Michael Timothy McAlevey. For the first time the Dodgers beat the Yankees and won the World Series. I'm pretty sure my reaction got me sent to the corner of the room because I did share cheering loudly when the final out was made. Obviously Sister Mary Margaret was from the east coast and obviously she had grown up a Yankee fan but on that October day in 1955 her world was turned upside down and The Dodgers were now a central part of my sports awareness.
Anything that made her unhappy had to be a really good thing.
That might sound harsh but my NUN stories are legendary and they still rest in parts of my frontal lobe.
But this is a baseball story so let's get back to the Dodgers.
From that year on I started playing baseball in the street with my friends and in 1958 the Brooklyn Dodgers moved to Los Angeles, California and at the age of 12 I signed up for my first and last year of Little League. The Dodgers in their first year finished 7th out of 8 teams....but in 1959, in my first year of Babe Ruth Baseball the LOS ANGELES DODGERS WON THE WORLD SERIES. In that World Series the Dodgers lost the first game to the Chicago White Sox 11-0....but came back to win the series in 6 games.
The one truly constant attraction for loving the Dodgers lies directly on the voice of Vin Scully. I listened to him when I was 12 years old in my backyard swinging a bat.....and in 2016 I was standing in my living room swinging at bat in the last game in announced as he retired.
58 years listening to the Greatest Dodger of all time is truly one of best sports memories I will carry to my home plate....which hopefully isn't scheduled for any time soon.
The Dodgers vs Sister Mary Margaret's beloved Yankees in the 2024 World Series.....69 years after a day that made her weep and made me a lifetime Dodger fan.

Good News and WTF
The Dodgers are in the World Series and after 43 years they will be playing The Yankees.
The Presidential Election is 12 days away and after all the things The Grifter Trump has said and done in the last eight years the polls show that the race is too close to call. It's come down to a Man vs a Woman thing and even if you don't believe that to be true.....IT'S A FACT.
Political experience doesn't seem to matter anymore and public service isn't an honorable thing like it used to be.
The Dodgers in the World Series is more of a focal point for me personally and I am fully aware that that shouldn't be the case....but it is.
I just find it so amazing the The Donald has a following close to the last time he lost. He got 73 million votes in 2020 and it looks like that number will be repeated. Biden got 83 million and hopefully Mrs. Harris will get close to that number.
There are 161 million registered voters in America. You have to a citizen to vote. There are another 60 million eligible but not registered.
NO IMMIGRANT WHO HAS ENTERED THIS COUNRTY ILLIGALLY IS ALLOWED TO VOTE.
But when The Grifter talks he tells you that illegal immigrants are the reason he lost the last election and of course The non-existent cheating that took place.
AND HIS FOLLOWERS NOT ONLY BELIEVE HIM BUT WILL TELL YOU WITH A STRAIGHT FACE THAT THEY HAVE PROOF.
68 COURTROOMS in 2020 election heard the arguments and threw them all out. Note that the main lawyer working for DJT, Rudy Guliani, was just ordered to give his assets to two women in Georgia as part of the lawsuit he lost after accusing those women off being responsible for voter fraud.
This is the type of election information that really makes me focus on The Dodgers vs The Yankees.
The Dodgers lost a legend yesterday who was involved in the 1981 World Series when the Dodgers beat The Yankees in 5 games.
Fernando Mania was as big a thing at the time as the Ohtani thing is now.
Two 17's makes a 34 and if Ohtani keeps it up maybe his number will also be retired.
Probably need a few World Series wins and this might be a good time to start.

The THIRD part of the season is here
Baseball has three seasons.....Pre-season, Regular season and POST season.
Statistics show that 60 % of the people who watch baseball don't start until the Post Season.
The Post season is a crap shoot because any team can win in a short series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently the favorite to win the World Series BECAUSE they have THE SHO.
If you don't know about The Sho then you should stop reading this because nothing will mean anything to you.
Shohei Ohtani just had the greatest offensive season of any player in history. 54 Homeruns and 59 stolen bases. If he falters in the post season it won't take away from the history he created this year.
The ball he hit for the 50th Homerun is estimated to be worth 2-3 MILLION dollars....and there's a possession lawsuit in play. It's an interested sidebar story. Check it out.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.....THERE IS NO PREDICTING IN BASEBALL but of course I want the Dodgers to win the first series this weekend against the Padres. They have some starting pitcher issues and their great first baseman, Freddy Freeman , has a bad ankle.

I realize that it's a fictional town but the irony tying The Simpsons to the TRUMP campaign is just too much to ignore.
During the DEBATE last week The Donald made a statement about immigrants (Haitian's mainly) eating dogs and cats in the town of Springfield, Ohio.
THE NEXT DAY J.D. VANCE SAID HE CREATED THE STORY TO BRING THE IMMEGRATION PROBLEM TO THE ATTENTION OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC.
This acknowledged fabrication has created a universe of HILARIOUS video material that is allowing hundreds of users to go viral.

Now, I am quite familiar with Voodoo ties to the Haiti population and don't doubt for a second that strange sacrifices are probably a part of their religion BUT I must remind everyone that animal sacrifices have a place in OTHER religions including Catholics The old adage when in "Rome do as the Romans do" should apply in reverse for this type of behavior.
I also have to recognize that immigration groups (which include you and me) brought strange practices to this country when they arrived and slowly adjusted their behavior to adapt in a more civilized manner while becoming naturalized citizens of America.
The fact that TRUMP supporters are now saying the PET EATING STORY is a TRUE STORY simply baffles my mind.
VANCE ADMITTED IT WAS NOT TRUE AND YET SPRINGFIELD, OHIO HAS HAD TO CLOSE SOME SCHOOLS BECAUSE OF BOMB THREATS.
Maybe the 20,000 LEGAL immigrants from Haiti that are helping to rebuild the town of Springfield after it's population went from 80,000 in the 70's to 60,000 today should start their own website and name it PETSNOWAY.

SCOTUS, POTUS and then there is US
Going back to the period where President Obama was not allowed to fill the open seat on the Supreme Court was the period that led to what we now are fully experiencing.
How President Trump got lucky enough to get 3 Judges is probably the luckiest thing that has ever happened to a sitting President.
IT IS NOW SHOWING UP AS THE MAIN POINT OF ANY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
Our Supreme Court is setting a course that Donald J. Trump is constructing and that can't be altered or changed for quite a long time.
I consider myself a moderate Democrat while many members of my family consider me a radical left wing fanatic.
There are so many points about WOKE AWARENESS that I totally disagree with and the fact that laws keep getting passed that seem to make it ok to commit minor crimes (especially in California) makes no sense to me on any level.
Arresting someone and releasing them a few hours later is really stupid....and I watch it happen quite often in Santa Monica. Raising the dollar level for shoplifting makes no sense....just as arresting someone for stealing food because they are hungry makes no sense.
People who scream in public for no apparent reason should be removed and taken for observation in order to determine which Psychopharmacology treatment they should receive.
The current race for President of the United States absolutely makes no sense.
One candidate LIES about everything and the other candidate isn't sure if he had lunch two hours earlier.
I know someone who doesn't like our Vice-President because of the way she laughs.
Making a President NOT LIABLE for something done IN AN OFFICAL CAPACITY makes no sense on any level,
THERE IS NO CHECKS AND BALANCES WHEN IT COMES TO THE SUPREME COURT AND THAT IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG......
And now there seems to be no checks and balances for the President.
It also seems that the amount of checks and balances on US has gotten way out of hand.
I'm still trying to figure out why the first debate was before the conventions......and the question I also have is,,,,,,,are either of them official candidates before the convention?

Things are heating up in court and on the road to Nov
The most interesting aspect of Donald Trump and his legal issues is that nothing seems to affect the polls. We have learned in the past that polls aren't always the indicator we think and I've learned recently that depending on who conducts the poll has a lot to do with the results.
People, when contacted by phone, don't always share their true beliefs. I myself have found that when talking to someone who is asking me political questions that I like to elaborate or exaggerate depending on how the questions are constructed.
People, when contacted in person, have a tendency to keep the conversation reserved....which can mean that sharing the actual truth doesn't always happen.
The court situations with DJT are quite incredible because people have stated that they don't really care what happens and that guilty or innocent won't change their voting preferences.
WHICH IS BEYOND UNBELIEVEABLE
How in the world can someone have 4 pending litigations going and still be regarded as a viable candidate for President of the United States?
Some sidebar activity is also very weird....like Supreme Court Justice flying a upside down flag at his homes and then blame his wife and claiming she has a right to do whatever she wants. She obviously supports whatever The Donald has done and is doing and the Justice said he didn't know what that flag meant and that his wife likes flags.
There's a decision coming in June from the Supreme Court that could change the landscape of every public park and recreational area in this country.
Grant's Pass vs Johnson
They have heard the arguments and will rule in June.
The ramifications are HUGE.
