When I do.....

Family matters have kept me away and while I was going to stay quiet until Doonesbury returned on a daily basis I just couldn't wait that long.  By the way does anyone have any idea how long the Doonesmaster plans on staying away?

September 1st was my last article and Syria seems to have dodged the bullet even though it appears that chaos and internal struggles might be part of their MO for a very long time.  It's really back to the two factions of the Muslim religion and since hundreds of years haven't solved the problem I suspect that they don't really want to solve the problem....except of course by eliminating the other side.

Our government was shut down for awhile and the Chinese tried to pull a power play on currency but once one reads about the pollution in China then one will quietly keep their American dollars in tact.

We might not be pollution solvers but we have rules and laws on the books that send a message to those who choose to abuse their privileges.

China appears to not be addressing their pollution issues and air and water are both taking a huge hit as industrialization takes hold.  The amount of empty office buildings is another great story.  Sure is one way to put people to work but then if nobody wants to use the space, it starts looking like those underwater scenes from Speilberg's AI film.

The Dodgers almost made the World Series this year but it appears that Boston Beards rule....so it might not have mattered.  Is it better to lose in the World Series or miss the big show by one series?  I honestly don't have that answer because losing a World Series is hard so maybe the fact that they went home one series earlier reduces our disappointment level.  All I really know is that Dodger summer baseball in 2013 was as good as it gets and we won't see anything like it again for a very long time.  A steady strong team from start to finish is probably a better idea for 2014.  100-62 would be about right.

This is the longest I've gone in my adult life without going to a movie.  I'm totally shocked that RUSH by Ron Howard was a bust.  I would have thought by now that Opie would have a steady fan base that automatically generate $75 mil domestically.  I'll have to wait until it plays on HBO to try and figure out what happened.

BLACKFISH WAS SHOWN TWICE LAST WEEK ON CNN.  THAT'S A HUGE STORY. THE DOC WAS ONLY RELEASED A FEW MONTHS AGO.
Kudo's to CNN for making that happen.

ORCAS WILL NOT BE WORKING FOR SEA WORLD WITHIN THE NEXT DECADE AND BY ALL RIGHTS THEY SHOULD STOP
TODAY

IMAGINE RETURNING A CAPTURED ORCA WHOSE MOM HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR HIM FOR TEN YEARS.   The film indicated that lots of young Orcas were taken from their moms within two years of giving birth.

I THINK THAT'S A STORY.

AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE, or better known as OBAMACARE, is taking a huge hit due to ????????????????????
Did the government not use Larry Ellison for this project.  It seems that Oracle would have been a natural choice.
I hope the problem doesn't come down an OPEN BID story where the Department of Commerce picked  the lowest bidder to handle the roll out.
Ms. Sebelius seems to be taking the main slam but most likely it was a committee f..k up.
One of the things that seems to be bothering people is that anyone making more than 100,000 a year will have a steep increase in the premiums.  Time will tell if health cost will come down because of more people being insured.....but really, when was the last time anything came down in price.  They want $2 apiece at the car wash to wash the mats after charging $13.99 for the basic wash....and SS is only be increased by 1.5% because the government claims cost did not rise that much over the last year, and one air-filled Krispy Creme doughnut is $1.09.......and I could go on and on but if you are making more than $100,000 a year you don't give a flying f..k what I say.

By the way, I use the self wash car stops and I don't eat Krispy Creme doughnuts.......but SS is part of life.

The last of the 7 McAlevey boys from Maplewood, Missouri lost his wife of 62 years a few days ago.

My Uncle Raymond had 62 years of shared love and that's a real life love story....which are always the best kind.

I'd like to find 62 minutes that didn't cost me $2000.

Closing with my new favorite quote.....

ABE LINCOLN said the following......"WHEN I DO GOOD, I FEEL GOOD
WHEN I DO BAD, I FEEL BAD....
                                                                        THAT'S MY RELIGION"
